  1. I hope Rangers now shelf their pursuit of Steve Davis. I love his true blue attitude, tracking back and always being available for a pass. On the other hand, he can't shoot, is not good in the air and light in the tackle. Sure, he's young and can learn but so could the boys coming through at Murray Park. Especially at the money being mentioned.
  2. are you saying Cuellar wasn't our best and most consistent player ? The guy was the best player in our team by miles last year, singlehandedly kept out Fiorentina. He will be missed Without Cuellar, Rangers would not have got near Manchester
  3. Who'd take the job now tho in the current climate? And even for any takers..they'd still be fucked as they're hands are tied I know what your saying, But Walter has to hold the can aswell £9million spent on the team and were going Backwards. I agree with d/bear, Walter had all season to pinpoint the most urgent positions that needed shoring up. His choice's were not the right one's. Usually I'd say that the manager knows best but...his choices were amateurish. No disrespect to the players who have came in who may turn out to benefit Rangers. I'm talking about positions.
  4. It's no fun supporting a feeder club. Today I feel like a hibee
  5. My apoligies to dukestreetsoup. I missed this post
  6. How Rangers can not be seen as a "feeder" club is beyond me. Anytime a player performs continually well he's off. Even the captain. Barry, Boumsong, Hutton, Cuellar...McGregor.
  7. Regarding an earlier post, Where is this mythical Rangers team that Alexander can't be the number 1? Unlike a host of players I could mention, Alexander did his job and filled in when McGregor was injured and did it well. I'm aware whats meant by Rangers class, but the Rangers team of the here and now is simply awful. Though I'd prefer Mac to stay, it's time to accept that we sell our best players, so either Murray can balance the book's and find a buyer or finance the major surgery that can possibly make Rangers a team we can be proud of.
  8. Reading between the lines it's not to much of a stretch for me to consider Cuellar's transfer has been carefully orchestrated by SirDM. Just THREE day's ago, August 9th, Walter Smith firmly denie's even an offer for Cuellar and he's staying put. Are we being asked to suggest Mr. Smith is lying or perhaps worse, not in the "loop" and not being worthy enough to be consulted regarding losing his best player? So sunday morning Cuellar wake's up and decides he wants a transfer. Albeit not a hard sell, am I to believe Mr Bain's reponse was to say, OK let me hit the 'phones? Or maybe I should "cold call" Villa and see what happens? Deal done in 24 hrs. Alan Hutton didn't want to go and I'm not convinced Cuellar was given the option to stay.
  9. Well that's it. I've had enough. For Rangers to move forward, the only logical step is for Mr Murray to sell up, or take no further part in the day to day running of this club (business). It's obvious this is not his forte. He appoints the manager and sanctions which players to buy or sell. Mr Murray's record in this decade is a litany of mismanagement (PLG debacle) that would ensure his replacement had he not been the owner. I'm not convinced Carlos Cuellar instigated this move, but it's Murrays doing Rangers have to sell their best players.
