  1. Seriously it would be better if people used the same name across every forum.

I struggle to keep up with who is who at the best of times. :(

Do you mean people actually change their names from site to site <cr> You jest !

  2. I don't actually know of any business/project that is not run on the terms of the owners/initiators/board.

It looks to me like the guys who are responsible for the project don't want any involvement with certain sites/people (I may be wrong) and surely this is their right, whether anyone agrees or disagrees?

Continually posting about it probably isn't going to change this, fortunately or unfortunately, however each individual views the issue.

As someone said earlier, they do a good job, and if anyone has issues with it, then meet up, speak, discuss, and hopefully find a solution.

If any side in the matter is unwilling to do this, and this seems to be the case here, then nothing is likely to be solved.

As I said earlier, continually making posts, some of which are derogatory and a bit too personal, will solve nothing.

We're all the same here - followers and supporters of the Rangers - and it's great that we all have differing opinions on such a wide variety of topics.

The Founders don't belong to these guys yet they appear want to monopolise it for themselves. They want support for their scheme yet snub the philanthropy of VB where William McBeath was concerned. I'm led to believe that they were "hopping mad" at Follow Follow towers about being "beaten to the gravestone". The persistant tin rattling and posts selling their wares is interesting. It's the usual Dingwall stuff, give me your money but don't talk back or ask any questions and if you dare go into competition with me I'll crush you.

It is also saddening to say that when poster Red white and Ajax suggested on FF in the event of a league win that Heather Lang (grand-daughter of Peter McNeil) be invited to unfurl the flag he was told by lebluebear the "club can chase themselves, it was us that found her, we're not going to give them her contact details."

    Such pathetic little men.

Can anyone on here Confirm or Deny that it was in fact Gary Ralston the writer of the book " The Gallant Pionners " That found the grave of William McBeath ? OR was it in fact someone else from the VB forum, or was it indeed a Joint discovery ?

  3. The Founders Trail is also a sticky on www.dothebouncy.com so what's your point? Are they in on it too? Are they profiteering?

The fact that the guys behind the Founders Trail mainly post on FF is used as a stick to beat them with.

People have been told that MD is not involved and they have been told where the money goes.

If some people are still not happy then so be it. This whole thing is getting rather tedious.

Do you find it odd that the guys behind the Founders Trail refuse to discuss [/b]William McBeath's gravestone and refused an invite to the ceremony organised by VB?

As i have said on earlier posts William McBeath's gravestone and final resting place IS highlighted on the Founders Trail.

  4. :(

So the arguing is still going on in this thread? Jesus wept doh

MisterC - I'm certainly not arguing mate (nobody's replied to any of my posts :anguish:) and I'm as saddened as many others that this project should attract so much ill feeling from a handful of individuals. For this reason I felt compelled to post and try to defend the guys responsible for the project.

I also would like to see Admin moving swiftly in future to eliminate these negative posts every time anybody makes an attempt to promote or praise the Founders Trail.

    (tu)

Jesus wept! You want Censorship under YOUR terms? :(

Open debate is the cornerstone of the RM on-line democracy. :sherlock:

Debating this thread is all well and fine, But Name calling, calling people Liars and things get worse :( Many people on here THOUGHT the OP was SOMEONE else and would NOT beleive him when he told them he was not said person ! IS NOT ON, And still they now think he gives " Shedloads " of money to the person they first thought he was <cr> All totally untrue, The OP has told everyone what happens to the money and yet some on here refuse to accept this WHY ? Time to call of the witch hunt guys, and get yourselves onto one of these Trails and see where the money really goes.

That's the biggest load of codswallop in this entire thread.

Get your facts right next time before you post such garbage.

Could you point out what points are " Garbage "

  5. :(

  6. And censorship would be just as damaging as asking questions.

    Here's a hypothetical question then....

Is there anything stopping the guys from the Founders Trail meeting up with the guys who got the McBeath project up and running. Having a beer or two and discussing any issues that are being spoken about on here?

I know i wouldn't refuse a beer with a fellow bear regardless of what has happened in the past. I am sure Willhelm would be the same although i cannot speak for him personally.

So is there anything stopping us?

But the questions you refer to have been asked repeatedly every time a thread about the Trail is posted. And these questions have been answered repeatedly yet some people don't seem satisfied with the answers.

That still doesn't answer my question

    I'll answer it, in a word .

    No.

I won't be taking the Founders Project into an arena that involves bitching between two websites.

I'm not taking the four kids who fought to establish our Club there, it's a simple as that.

I've tried my best to keep the project out of it, but as soon as it appears on here i'm accused of being a crook who's out to make a profit out of Rangers supporters.

This crook is then asked why i don't advertise on their site ?

Better than that i've now to sit and have a pint.

No, i'll continue to put the Founders first and watch from the side-lines while individulas rap themselves up in their own squabbles.

Thought you would say that....so much for Rangers First.

    Excuse After Excuse After Excuse.....

Are you an EX FF poster ?

  7. I think we get on pretty well with the VB lads, I'm a member of the site myself, but I'm just not sure if this thread was the best arena in which to bring up these issues.

It certainly wasn't the OP that brought up the Issues which i think you refer too,Why don't the admin step in and stop the Negative points that seem to FOLLOW this subject about ? :redcard:

And censorship would be just as damaging as asking questions.

But you just can't come into a thread and start calling the people involved a Liar, can you ?

I certainly can't and won't answer on behalf of the Founders commitee, Personally i don't see a problem with it, but i have not had the abuse/ accusations (sp) spouted to me unlike the OP !

  8. I don't know why people bother to enter threads with the sole intention of badmouthing the people or the project for which it was started ! The OP has never once badmouthed the William McBeath project which was undertaken by people on here and from VB, and in fact he refers to this during his tour, i thought it was fantastic project and i hope the same people are continuing with their research in the same way the " Founders " guys are doing with theirs.

Can we not just knock this stupid " Us and Them " thing on the head ! as the Moonlighter has said on many occasions, He is not putting any of the " profits " into his pocket and none of it is going into MD's pocket either. FACT.

so come on guys instead of the bickering, get yer Arse on one of these Tours and see what it's all about.

and then and only then if you Don't like it, or feel ripped off, you can on and discuss your views. end of rant. ;)

  9. I did this tour today and it was hugely enjoyable, well worth the money. The guys (and girl) running it were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly; everything you'd hope they'd be. If the purpose of the tour is to help instil an understanding of the origins of our club then they succeed. Near the beginning of the trip they remind you of the ages of our founders; as they say is there a better story then ours in world football?

Well done guys, and best of luck with the future trips.

You even got a wee bit of cricket thrown in as well, HOWZAT !! :D

  10. Just a wee reminder for those who have booked on this sunday's Trail.

The Open-Top bus will depart from the John Greig statue at 12pm sharp. It would be appreciated if you could be there no later than 11.45.

No tickets have been issued for the Bus but ''Olive'' will check names as you board.

We have a lot to cover as we make our way around Glasgow, from Fleshers Haugh to Burnbank, to Berkeley Street and on to the south of the River Clyde.

We also have a 30 minute 'pit-stop' at West of Scotland Cricket Ground in Partick, it's a beautiful setting and the scene of the Rangers first ever Scottish Cup Final. Much more about that on the day.

We are due to arrive at Ibrox Stadium for the Tour at 3.30 which takes just over an hour.

I look forward to sharing our wonderful story with you.

Has this tour sold out yet bud ? I heard there were 2 or 3 seats left at the weekend !

  11. Drop the tshirt stuff, no point going over ground that was covered in the first thread this had. It's boring - if you're not wishing to go on the trail or interested in hearing about it then just give the thread a miss.

    :)

amen to that, sick of hearing about this. Presumably those getting on their high horse about this dont go to Rangers pubs as the owners are profitting from their fellow Rangers fans and damaging their health in the process?

The irony is that the self same poster started a thread a couple of weeks ago actively promoting a site that sells - you've guessed it - Rangers tee-shirts. He failed to mention to which charity the profits were going.

Who, the rabbit or nemisis? Or someone else?

    Nemisis

I'm sure it was within a different context but frankly i dont care i'm sick of hearing all this shit when the founders trail topic comes up.

AMEN ! To that mate. :uk:

  12. ive heard that govan district are to be bussed from glasgow green back to the orange halls then they can parade thru our area but not to march thru city centre

only possil are being allowed to parade thru city centre on theyre way home

Is that what is happening for sure ? :( We always walked back with the GPB to Govan with the Bridge at the Glassy being the highlight of the day. :uk:

  13. This is the trophies and Shield that the school will be presented with for their prize giving day .

The light coloured shield is the girls sheild and the dark coloured is for the boys.

These are fantastic mate, i hope to be there on sat for a few hours,as i have some money to give from the golf auction.

  14. All you need now is to understand where it stems from ... the petty jealousies of the owner of FF.

If anything, it's coming across like it's the Vanguard Bears who are jealous because they're not involved.

It's been stated already that Mark Dingwall has nothing to do with the Founders Trail but you choose to ignore that.

The name calling from yourself is childish and embarrassing.

If you're interested in the history of the Club then book a seat on the bus and see for yourself how great it is, instead of sniping from behind a keyboard.

That's absolute bollox and I think you know that.

This came about because Balgairbear stated that the founders trail was advertised on ALL Rangers fans sites, when quite clearly it isn't.

I some day hope to do the founders trail, I do not post much on here as VB is a site that I prefer, that's just me.

But please, stop the downright conjecture and stick to facts.

Yes as i have stated on an earlier post, At the time i posted my orginal post i was NOT aware that there was a few sites that were not contacted regards the promotion of the "Founders Trail ", As has been highlighted VB and Every Other Saturday are a couple which had not been aproached, and it was not a deliberate exclusion on my behalf.

  15. Just a pity it isn't open to all Rangers fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT IS open to ALL Rangers fans from anywhere in the WORLD, not just FF as some people on here seem to think, There was a thread on hear a couple of weeks back from which there have been a Few from RM booked up. The trail is advertised on ALL Rangers web sites, contrary to what you have heard. ;)

Reality check needed here. The name vanguardbears is taboo on a certain site. You have made a massive blunder, trying

to claim that the founders trail is advertised on every site

As i have stated on another post, " Massive Blunder " I think not, as at the time of my original post i fully beleived it was promoted on all sites, but alas this was not to be true, But a " LIE or a Massive blunder " i think not an honest mistake yes.
