  1. What a dire attitude, any Gers player that gives his all to me will never be told to fek aff / fair enough if you don't think he is good enough but that comment is way OTT bro, follow follow loyal and true
  2. potential quality is there, ffs he has international caps for France, his deadballs and crosses are what we need and have been crying out for, OK he is not an out and out winger like we wanted but he brings a new dimention to the side and we have a great choice of midfielders now - central and wide - I say it's another great find from Wattie IMO
  3. Hallo Bro ! My name is Rab AKA Costablancabear and I am new on the site - I was hoping that I could get a sig(pic) with Iain Ferguson and my name underneath ? I am not sure how to add to my controls but will read other posts if need be. I hope I am on the right thread ? Would appreciate any help if possible. Please help - I am useless on the PC but I really would like a smart sig and avatar at the side with a UJ and saltire together ! cheers - COSTA
  4. true mate but how many is Dave Weir making now every match - he can't pass - he is slower than ever and has been the cause of many goals none more recent than the Scotland game. I know you say everyone makes mistakes but IMO Davie is making at least 2 or 3 major ones every match now, I would prefer playing Wilson, McCulloch or Kirkie than Dave at present TBH. just ma opinion bears
  5. Is that you rab? sure is - who is this ? send a PM bro !
  6. Careful now, you'll set off the "Boyd can't score headers" crowd. I agree Boab - No wan can say Boyd wouldn't profit from great deliveries - and Rothen is the man to provide IMO.
  7. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/displa...be_like_him.php Well the lad 'talks the talk' and has shown glimses of quality - so lets hope 'walks the walks' or rather runs and crosses and becomes as popular as 'Daddy' - which is a big ask but you never know !
  8. ????????? He played with Boughy at the start of last season and never put a foot wrong - he played in the Champions League at Left Back and again never put a foot wrong SO your sarcastic comments towards this idea are a bit OTT IMO he is better than McCulloch surely ?
  9. Not a hope in hell - If we played that against Seville it could be a cricket score - we do not have good enough defenders to play this and Yes it is a dated system - not to say it wouldn't work with some teams, but we are no where near good enough or quick enough at the back IMO - 4-3-3 is the right approach this season I feel with the two wider forwards dropping back when defending. We have the midfielders to use different tactics and some quality passers and crossers of the ball now, so I can see us scoring a lot more from set pieces hopefully. We haven't lost a game yet and considering we haven't really got out of 1st gear it is looking promising with flashes of what is to come - when we do hit top gear - just my opinion Bears.
  10. haha Timmy gets upset with the hokey cokey - so any excuse to moan is good enough for them - BUT someone correct me if I am wrong - I was told many years ago by one of my Grannies - that the word derives from an old Oirish soldier that was named a 'Ta*gen Warrior' so if true - they don't know their history PMSL PS - can anyone shed some light on this and tell me if this is 100% true ? PPS - not urgent, I really couldn't give two hoots, but as the subject came up I thought I would expand my knowledge.
  11. I am a great fan of Kirk Broadfoot, not just because I also come from Drongan in Ayrshire originally, but because I know how much Rangers means to him and all his family. He started out playing schoolboy fitbaw with Kris Boyd and then progressed with a lot of hard work and training - when his pals were away out drinking - he was training hard. I think he would be a great Centre Back alongside Bougherra, Dave Weir is looking slower all the time and I feel that Kirk has enough experience to handle the pressure ( remember he was St Mirren Captain at this position - and yes I know it is a big step) If you think back Richard Gough started out at Right Back for Dundee United before becoming one of our best ever Defenders.................So what do you think Bears - Is Kirk a good option or would you stick with Dave Weir ? I also feel that Rangers could keep Dave Weir as a player/coach to help the defenders and the up and coming youth ! What do you think ?
  12. Cracking post, I agree with it, Naismith, despite being capable of playing on the wing, should play up front, and im really surprised he never started today given how well he played midweek Aaron is gone now though Cheers bro ! But Aaron did get called back from Valencia, then Rangers managed to get him back on loan about a month back - that is why I think WS should use the kid more.....anyway great the mhanks slip up when we do - Gers for the treble ! Didn't Aaron leave because he signed for Celta Vigo? So I don't think we've got him anymore. I'd have Naismith all day long, our team has been severely lacking in pace for years and Naismith looks like he could be the answer to this. Rothen kind of reminded me of Thomas Buffell on Saturday, technically a very skilled player, but just isn't suited to the SPL. I really hope I'm wrong but he didn't look at all interested in tracking their right back. His delivery into the box did look good on a few occasions so hopefully it's just a case of him getting up to speed. Naisy is looking the part and I can see why you compare Rothjen with Buffel - PaulRFC1( Thomas being another player who I thought was quality ) but it will take Rothen time to settle into the SPL, but he was quality in the 2nd half against Stuttgart and wasn't phased by the occasion as he is a very talented and experienced Pro - he brings more option for Walter and keeps all the midfielders on their toes - IMO Walter has yet again proved he can spot a player from a mile away and I think Rothen and his dead balls and crosses will be beneficial to us, we also have plenty of other angles to try now if he is not up to scratch with Novo, Fleck, Naisy, Lafferty, Beasley etc when fit...... but all in all I feel we have great variation in pace, flair, skill and experience in the middle now - we will click soon - we have played dire and still not lost yet - so when we hit top gear - watch oot LOL Aaron is on loan to Celta - but he did leave Ibrox and come back - then Valencia put him on loan to Viga bro !
  13. me thinks it is cancelled cos they are scared new to board - hallo ! cannae wait till Germany - the real European competition LOL - WATP
  14. Cracking post, I agree with it, Naismith, despite being capable of playing on the wing, should play up front, and im really surprised he never started today given how well he played midweek Aaron is gone now though Cheers bro ! But Aaron did get called back from Valencia, then Rangers managed to get him back on loan about a month back - that is why I thought he was still at Ibrox I forgot that he is loaned to Celta by Valencia now - big mistake Rangers not playing or even trying to sign the kid.....anyway great the mhanks slip up when we do - Gers for the treble !
  15. This is a catch 22 question IMO - Naisy has been showing promise and flashes of why he was brought to Ibrox. On the other hand Rothen is a talented dead ball specialist with pace and flair and is a Fench Internationalist, we have been crying out for a natural winger for the left and now we have one - so I say give him a chance.....I don't see Naisy as a winger anyway. I also feel that Aaron should be getting more of a look in as well as I have watched the kid play in Spain and he is very quick and prefers to play on the right and cut back and swing crosses in with the left - he is a great prospect as are many young wans at Ibrox as you all know just now, but at least we havemany choices of different quality in the middle and wide now, it is great when your manager is spoilt for choice - as I feel he is just now ! BTW I would consider selling Beasley in January - OK he has shone for the USA and has 90 caps but he has done fek all since coming to the blue seas - OK he has been unlucky with injuries but lets face it he hasn't done anything on the pitch. PS - I am new to the forum - so any replies welcome - cheers - WATP
