  1. Why would they do that! Because we've got better players than them that they could use to keep them in the Premiership? Fantasy football is alive and well. Jog on Declan. Fantasy indeed, bereft of sensible riposte, I cannot pretend to be surprised, bigotry is such an ingrained ugly affliction. What sort of pathetic loser registers on here when they support another team? What diddy club do you support? Pathetic describes you very well, and you are also very frightening..........wellard maybe.....
  2. Here's why. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/He...1836931,00.html

  6. Rangers FC have no assetts, they are a wholly owned subsidary and trading arm of MIH, who hold all of the assetts previously owned by the former Rangers FC Ltd, now Rangers FC. Rangers parent company, Murray International Holdings, have seen debts rise to an eye-watering £759m to the year ending January 2008 (2007: £677m), over £730m of which is payable to the companies bankers. The company paid £39m in interest in the year, a staggering 58% increase on the previous year, and made a profit of just £5.072m on a turnover of £542.386m. A Balance Sheet valuation of £158m is supported by £46m of intangible assets, £17m of which is player registrations and £29m of goodwill.
  7. Is walter smith in a position to make that call ? He is the manager, so he is in a better position than you or I, unless of course you wish to question his motives, honesty or ability or all three, I for one have no intention of doing so.
  8. Going by what the Herald’s saying this morning, this statement already looks inane The facts are clear, the bank gave the board of Rangers a viable course of prudent management, as the bank saw it, the board rejected this out of hand, relenting at the eleventh hour, when the bank threatened administration as the only other alternative. If you wish to bury your head in the sand and deny what is and has happened that is your affair, others realise that a complete road to recovery will only come from exposing everything to scrutiny. Ask yourself this, who has had the best of the marriage Murray or Rangers FC. kERRYDALE STREET FOR U You sound lost.

  10. As I have already said, the bank cannot change the terms of any loan arbitrarily, if you wish to disagree with that fact of fiscal probity and banking law that is your prerogative, but it will not change the truth of it.
  11. The bank have put an overseer Donald Muir, who was involved in the Northern Rock rescue on the board for one very simple reason, doing nothing is not an option. This particular bank has a very big gun and are not afraid to use it, if they see their exposure worsening by the hour. People had better grasp how serious this situation is very quickly, and that is applicable to the whole of Scottish football, the ramifications of Rangers FC being forced into official administration are almost incalculable to Scottish football as a whole.
  12. Back to the drawing board ryanon. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Bank of England is the central bank of the United Kingdom and was established as a corporate body by Royal Charter under the Bank of England Act 1694. The Bank was nationalised on 1 March 1946, and gained operational independence to set interest rates in 1997 (the Bank of England Act 1998 Part II sets out the responsibilities and objectives of the Bank in relation to monetary policy). The Bank is a public sector institution, wholly-owned by the government, but accountable to Parliament. The entire capital of the Bank is, in fact, held by the Treasury solicitor on behalf of HM Treasury. Each year, the Bank is required to submit its Report and Accounts to Parliament, via the Chancellor of the Exchequer. For more information you may be interested to see the Bank’s latest Report and Accounts, which can be found on our website at: www.bankofengland.co.uk/publications/annualreport/index.htm As to the supposed ‘Rothschild’ connection, I don’t know why people should think that the family own us. But a number of the Rothschilds have served on the Bank’s Court of Directors over the years.
  13. The bank cannot change the terms of any loan arbitrarily, they can assess the situation if the terms of the loan or overdraft are not met, that is unable to be serviced by the debtor. I fully understand that you would like to, as has been happening over recent years, create a rosy picture by creative accounting, and twist the indigenous Scottish bankers to admire the creativity. It is a different ball game now TSB have no real affiliation to Rangers FC, they are just another corporate customer, who is in financial meltdown, the bank as anyone would, are looking to get THEIR money back, as is their remit under law...simple equation really, if you borrow don't be surprised to have to meet that borrowing.
  14. Seems to be a lot of it about, mainly from representatives of the Rangers board.
