  1. If we sign a player from a smaller club and they dont start scoring quickly the fans will get on their backs and it could turn into a disaster, boyd leaving would be terrible

    There's life after Kris Boyd.

I know but suggesting a striker that we sign from a lesser club will be able to replace him is crazy!

To come to a club like rangers puts huge pressure on players and only a handfull of strikers could succeed the way boyd has. What boyd did, coming from kilmarnock and scoring so many goals shows that he has balls and can deal with the pressure that being a rangers player puts on him and it will be hard to find a replacement with the resources we have at the club.

Who could blame hjim for showing interest in playing for birmingham? would prob make double the money there and play at the emirates and old trafford as opposed to tannadice and macdiarmid park.

Boyd scored goals for Killie and continued that at Rangers.

Novo scored goals for Dundee and continued that at Rangers (when played as a striker)

McDonald scored goals for Motherwell and continued that at Celtic.

Any player who is scoring 15 goals a season in the SPL should be more that capable of scoring at least 15-20 goals playing for either of the Old Firm.

I've always been a big Kris Boyd fan but he doesn't owe the club anything and I think people are being a bit over dramatic about him leaving.

  2. Just watched the whole game again on BT vision and guess what? We actually played better than was being posted last night. Sometimes we get influenced by listening to people sitting nearby instead of forming our own opinions. My personal feelings yesterday were that the moaners were the first to leave(80 mins. of course) and it never ceases to amaze me how fans can actually form a real opinion when the do not see a good part of the match. Admittedly we could have played a good bit better than we did but dont forget either that Accies played some nice stuff at times and it was hard to get the ball off them. So once again",bring on the sheep".

So you're happy enough we were at home yet couldn't get the ball off a team sitting near the bottom of the league 40 points behind us?

I cant make sense of you post, are you saying that the fans who were saying we played badly only stayed for 80 minutes hence missed a good part of the match?! Gius peace

  3. What a fucking joke of a 'performance' once again. So the St Johnstone defeat was a kick up the arse was it?

Comprehensively outplayed by a relegation candidate once again, if Hamilton had been more clinical in the last 3rd we would have been in big trouble.

Too many players in there now are just fannying about and once that level of intensity is dropped then its hard to raise your game again. Fucking shite and I have very little confidence it will be any different against the sheep on wednesday.

And I really fucking despair that once again when the midfield was non-existent, next years captain-in-waiting the unsubable Mouthpiece McCulloch plays the full 90 minutes. Utter garbage.

  4. Sorry but how did this game become the fault of Kyle Lafferty?

I'm no great fan of his, but for some posters to be abusing him the way they are in this thread is a disgrace. The game was lost long before he ever got near the pitch.

Davie Weir, thanks very much you've been a great servant but its time to hang up your boots.

Danny Wilson, dont believe your own hype son, you've a long, long way to go yet.

Sasa Papac, has been in holiday mode for weeks now, his attitude leaves a lot to be desired.

Kevin Thomson, new contract? You better start earning one then.

Kris Boyd? I've always been one of his biggest fans, but he looks like his mind is elsewhere in which case I wouldn't give him another start this season. He is NOT the irreplaceable goal scorer he is made out to be.

Thats all the players I can be arsed talking about. The whole lot tonight were fucking pathetic and its time to take a long hard look at themselves and earn that league title.

  5. I guess some people don't understand what winning a treble really means..

    What does it mean?

I'm disappointed we lost tonight but to be quite honest we've been looking like we're out on out arses in recent weeks and the league is paramount so I will happily sacrifice the cup to secure the league.

I have to say that if Celtic had already been knocked out there wouldn't be half the outcry there has been tonight, but really I dont even give a fuck if they do go on to win it. Cups are nothing but a distraction really, none of the big clubs in Spain, Italy and even England nowadays really bothers that much about them because they know winning the league and getting into the Champions League all important.

Also we have no divine right to win any game, losing away from home to the 3rd placed side in the league is hardly a major upset. I think we need to put things into perspective, all things considered and given the circumstances the club finds itself in, thus far it has been a GREAT season domestically.

  6. I didnt see the game tonight so cant comment on his performance. However going by the times I have seen him I have to say I'm torn. I think all of us who saw him at schoolboy level got a bit carried away with his potential, and looking back now I do wonder if his dominance at that age group was down to his early physical development.

Hes almost starting to remind me of Charlie Adam in that he will try the spectacular option when the right option is to keep it simple. You dont want to coach this out of a player however they have to learn theres a time and a place for the 'Hollywood' option. However I think this only comes with experience, and short of loaning him out for a season I think he has to be given a run in the side now until the summer, after which both him and the club should assess their options.

I do think all the talk of him being the new Wayne Rooney (he is clearly nowhere near that level) has gotten to him and we know only too well from experience how young players in Scotland get talked up only to go down the wrong road, waste their careers and disappear into oblivion.

I think the next few months will be huge for Fleck, and quite honestly I think its 50-50 right now whether he will go on to make a name for himself at Rangers.

  7. Unbelievable, to read the garbage on this thread about Messi not hacking it in the SPL really makes me wonder why I bother with this forum anymore.

I'm not QUITE that pissed off, but by god you read some amazing things on here.

We all moan about the English being overly pig-headed about their players' ability, yet a lot of people on here seem equally as 'proud' of the occasionally awful playing conditions and hammer-throwing nature of Scottish football.

    A truly bizarre thread.

Exactly, yet the same posters who claim you pretty much need to be a talentless brute to play in the SPL are the first ones to demand that still physically developing, smaller yet gifted players like Wilson and Fleck should be playing every game.

  8. Its incredible that he just keeps on coming out with this stuff.

Seriously do the Tims NEVER learn? Most teams having the same kind of season they have had would try and keep their heads below the parapet, admit its been a shite season and concentrate on building for the next one. These clowns blame everybody else for their shortcomings, refuse to be magnanimous in defeat and give superior sides even the slightest bit of credit and quite frankly just make absolute fools of themselves time and time again.

And what is that pish about being vulnerable because they have two 19 year olds playing together at the back? They've played about 3 games together, whats his excuse for the rest of the season?

Not only that, but his pish about teams winning leagues all over the world through expansive, open football...

Goals conceded this season, Man Utd 24, Chelsea 26, Real Madrid 20, Barcelona 16, Inter 22, Milan 26, Bayern 21, Shalke 19, Bordeaux 19, Rangers 16... The teams at the top of the league also have the best defences, for all their attacking football teams like Man U and Barca know the importance of the platform of a solid and consistent back 4. Even Real Madrid have realised that you cant just buy forwards and try to outscore the opposition.

Long may Mopery reign because this cunt has no idea about how a football team needs to be set up and week-in week-out he is doing Smiths teamtalk for him with his inane, delusional rantings. If he thinks that finishing 5th in the SPL with Hibs best team in years, bottom of the EPL with the worst defensive record in history and a distant 2nd in the SPL is a measure of success then long may he continue to take it on the chin and play the Tony way.

  9. Not really even worth speculating on next seasons captain as we dont know who'll be manager, who'll be bought/sold etc.

On the subject of McCulloch however at the moment he is in the team on merit and until he suffers a drop in form then Edu will just have to kick his heels on the bench until he gets his chance.

  10. All these 'sourced' posts by newbies and attention seekers are pissing me off enough to not bother coming on here much any more.

Even worse though is the stampede of established posters to believe them and piss their pants about it, especially when its anything negative about the club, usually turning out to be shit stirring by the tims.
