  1. I said at the time and I will say it again - The main focus of the news should have been on the 99.9% of the fans who came to Manchester and had a great day (obviously not the result) and NOT the couple of hundred idiots who did cause the trouble. There will be no major publishing of the fact that there were English involved - it does not make good reading However it is just as crazy to suggest that ALL the knobheads were English as it is to say they were Rangers fans - There was a definate mix of both I cannot see it happening again (certainly not for a while) but I would welcome the 99.9% of fans back to Manchester any day because EVERY single one I spoke to was great - no hassles, no intimidation - just great friendly fans and I had a great day in town
  2. As a Manc I have to say that you do not need to apologise - a couple of hundred knobs caused the problems NOT the 99.9% of the genuine Rangers fans I myself had a GREAT day with you all - even in defeat I never felt threatened or intimidated and I would like to thank ALL those that made it a great day It is just a shame that the press want to focus on the dispicable behaviour of a tiny minority and not the fantastic behaviour of the vast majority - but then again well behaved fans dont make good reading so I should not be surprised
  3. There are loads of car parks all over the place but be warned - a lot WILL hike up the prices for the day. If you are parking on any of the car parks near the ground then you will be looking at a tenner to park on the night - they usually charge a fiver for City games but the guy who runs the one I park on told me that they were gonna double it - hopefully they will see sense and stick to just charging a fiver
  4. My plan - well jump on the bus into Manchester for about 1 or 2 o'clock after a few in my local then and enjoy the BEST party Manchester is ever likely to see (well that is until City finally win something - so it will be a while yet then) Whatever time you all get there I hope you enjoy every second of it
  5. It sounds by reading it that the council are just trying to put some kind of positive spin on the existing plans - why does that not surprise me with Pat Karney. I does not look like they have changed anything at all which is just crazy. Every pub in the City will be packed out that day
  6. My mistake then - mine are on level 1 Colin Bell Stand and £75. I nearly said that if your tickets are for the North Stand then you will be with all the Rangers fans but wherever you sit you will be with Rangers fans
  7. Sounds like a seat in the third tier mate - still a good view but high up - go to city's websire and look at stadium plans for a pic of the view
  8. Where about's in Manchester you live dude? Im in Droylsden (about 10 minutes away) Moston originally but now in Chadderton - heard my local has 3 coach loads coming in at some stage of the day - booked 2 days off work, one for the celebrations and one for recovery although I am thinking it will stretch further than that
  9. REALLY hope that is true - just posted on another thread that it is a disgrace our council and police are doing nothing Look forward to seeing tens of thousands of you in my home town on the 14th - just hope we have enough beer for the party
  10. As a Mancunian I personally hope that tens of thousands of you converge on this great city - it is a disgrace that the council and GMP are doing nothing to accomodate you all. Unfortunately there is nothing we as locals can do except complain to local papers etc It will be a great day on the 14th and an even greater night if you take the cup back home with you :unionflag:
