  1. Do you hate Spurs? Of course! A shower of *****
  2. Don't insult me please! I'm a Gooner!
  3. Wrong! Its not 99% Catholic. Its 85% Catholic.
  4. I haven't witnessed any tbh. That is not to say there isn't any. In rural area's there may be hassel but I can guarantee there isn't as many Cltic fans as made out to be. In fact the town I live in would have more Arsenal fans than Celtic one's. And their would be a few Rangers fans as well. Can i ask where your from.? The North West. Why? I'm sure in many parts of Dublin, eastearn parts of Leinster and the border counties their will be numourous Gers Fans. Well im from the north west of Northern Ireland what planet you on O sorry what part or town, village, so on We are now moving off subject if your asking were I'm from etc. The thread was started by myself in good faith asking yourselves there was animosity towards Ireland.

  7. im scottish a protestant and i have nothing but admiration towards Rangers and it's history and achievements.. but if i was Irish and a Catholic i would still have nothing but admiration towards Rangers and it's history and achievements but referees ,naw i would hate them tbh.. If your refering to the France/Ireland game well I dont really have any complaints. We had our chances, didnt take them and some Ireland fans are using a handball as an excuse. We got a lucky penalty earlier in qualifiying, in Paris we didnt - thats the way things go.
  8. You guys are running away with another League title. I'd be far from bitter.
  9. exaclty what i did, sorry bud Not to worry. I had a feeling that mentioning Ireland may lead to suspicion but I wanted to know non the less and there are plenty of people here who support Rangers.
  10. To sing songs about dead soldiers is discusting. People don't think about the families. I was ashamed when some Ireland 'fans' booed Loverkrands for Denmark in 2002 at Lansdowne Road, that the only ever time I witnessed but saying that they could have been Celtic. well thats not even the tip of the ice berg from what happens week in week out down here mate. On sunday there in the old firm they booed a minute silence for a former players of ours and then mocked our guest of honour, a brave soilder who suffered severe burn injuries during the Falklands War. I seen that. I just thought of the family. If that was one of my family and people booed, I'd be really hurt. Did the stewards not eject the people booing?
  11. 'One of them'??? I'm an Arsenal fan. I came on here to see if I could find out about meeting between both clubs and whilst I was on the forum I took a nosey round at some of the other thread's and just asked a question regarding Ireland, nothing more. If I caused offence my apologies.

  13. Arsenal were founded by a Scot but I don't know if he was the instigator of the first meeting. David Danskin from Kikcaldy, Fife. He liked his 'fitba' and formed a team of factory workers originally called Dial Square.
  14. Took a nosey through some threads and there is an awfull lot of animosity towards Ireland. 99.9% I'd imagine to do with Celtic but there are a fair few Irish Rangers fans. Indeed Rangers Youth Coach is Alan Kernaghan. Ireland international Alan Maybury is said to be a Rangers fan, and Killian Brennan and Joe Lapira had trial with Gers also. I'm an Irish a Catholic and I have nothing but admiration towards Rangers and it's history and achievements - it's a great Club. Why is there the bad feeling? Not all Irish are Celtic fans btw. I think it's hyped up more than anything due to their (Celtic) history and support.
  15. Walter Smith, I think is an alsolutely fantastic manager. I dont think he gets the credit he deserves outside Scotland tbh, he is working with a tight budget and still winning trophies. When he leaves Rangers, he will very very difficult to replace.
  16. to be honest the man is only protecting his players like all top managers do. i would have to admit i like chelsea more but i have total admiration for they way arsenal go about there football, imo there is no right or wrong wae to play football, but there way is a beautiful football The boy came on with a polite request for some info. Give him a break ffs. He is a bit much sometimes. I think the fact he is defending his players is a good thing, he does take it to extremes though. But he is responsible for the invincible team and they were something else. He is a great manager. i know guys ,but he is hated all over for that attitude, honesty is one of the greatest virtues. wenger isnt honest in the slightest...i was brought up never to lie and to hate liars... ...in football wenger is the biggest LIAR im afraid.....he only admits to seeing what he wants to .thats wrong.. At the end of the day he is only protecting his players and he said so in the Summer. I would think Walter Smith would do the same.
  17. Thank You. Very much appreciated.
  18. Cheers. There seem to be conflicting reports though as to what the name of the trophy Arsenal won. I've heard British Champions Cup, Zenith Data Systems Cup, Zenith Data Systems Challenge and so on. Anyone know? I've heard that as well (re the shares) how much truth there is I'm unsure as I'd asume one can not have shares in another. Maybe we did one time but certainly there was a strong connection back to the Great Herbert Chapman and Bill Struth.
  19. Hi Gers fans! I'm an Arsenal fan myself but came on here to see if I could get any information from you guys regarding games that took place between both sides. In particular I'd be gratefull for information from a game in December '89 were we played at Ibrox in match sponsored by Zenith Data Sytems. Also both side's met in the unofficial British Championship (way before my time) but was there a lot of prestige on winning it at the time? The name would suggest so but it's difficult to find out much about the British Championship. There is a lot of history between both clib's dating back to the 30's. Any info would be appreciated. Kind Regards.
