  1. Will be created and downloadable via the creation centre. No one has suggested they include all the Scottish divisions, rather it's been suggested they include Rangers in the "Rest Of The World" category.
  2. False, River Plate is one of 3 Argentine teams in FIFA 12 despite being in the 2nd division last season.
  3. Thought they might pick up the rights and put us in the "Rest Of The World" category, but creation centre will still have a created Rangers team and you can count on a division 3 pack there as well. Going to be a lot of work for whoever has to create all the players, though those on national teams (Black, Wallace, Little, Shiels, etc) should still be in the game on their respective country's rosters and you should be able to use the trick from FIFA 11 to get them on to clubs. Sucks that there is no way to link the SPL to the SFL 1, 2, & 3 packs so you can create a pro/rel structure in career mode and work your way back up, thinking I'll swap the teams with those in the Spanish or Italian top flight and second divisions (42 teams, same number as all four levels of Scottish football) and do a CM under the guise of "league reconstruction".
  4. Some testimonial match for him down at Pride Park against Derby County.
  5. The Castle Greyskull thing is just stupidity on their part, it was the fortress of mystery and power and the digs of He-Man, the good guy. Skeletor's evil stronghold was Snake Mountain. When they bring it up remind them of that and call the piggery Snake Mountain
  6. Boca Cleared But USA Lose CARLOS BOCANEGRA had mixed emotions last night as clearance came through to complete his loan move to Racing Santander in Spain but the USA lost their World Cup opener. The season-long arrangement was threatened over some paperwork issues at the Spanish end but that has now been cleared up a week after the transfer window closed. The player’s agent Lyle Yorks said: "Carlos has gained clearance for the loan move to Racing Santander. He will be available for selection when he returns." Bocanegra is currently on duty with the US national team who were shocked in Jamaica last night when they lost their opening World Cup qualifier. The Rangers defender was on the bench in Kingston as Clint Dempsey gave the Americans the lead but they lost two late goals. However, Jurgen Klinsmann’s side has the chance of revenge when the two sides meet again in Ohio on Tuesday night. Klinsmann explained that Bocanegra, the regular captain, did not play because of the uncertainty hanging over him. Meanwhile Dorin Goian was on the winning side as Romania won 2-0 in Estonia to get their World Cup campaign off to a positive start. Bocanegra’s central defensive partner is on loan to Serie B side Spezia and like the American will be back at Rangers next summer. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/2047-boca-cleared-but-usa-lose
  7. Impact just joined MLS this season, were actually formed prior to MLS' founding and played in USL from 1992 until last season - bad names are not just an MLS thing here.
  8. McCoist had been looking to bring in 4 or 5 players right before the window closed, only got Templeton & Stella. Extra funds should be left over, just a matter of how much. Window pain: McCoist unhappy over deadline-day deals failure - September 3rd, 2012 http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/football/football-news/ally-mccoist-is-unhappy-he-only-signed-1299501 Don't think it would be a stretch to suggest that he is likely the highest paid player in the squad.
  9. Believe the Russian window closes today.
  10. we got rid of him? Ally was saying 3 days before deadline day that he was staying, Boca wanted the move so he could stay in the national team.
  11. Carlos Bocanegra's Spanish move on brink of falling through THE USA skipper’s season-long loan deal with Racing Santander is in the balance because of an administrative botch-up by the second division outfit. CARLOS BOCANEGRA could be back at Rangers next week after it emerged his move to Spain is in danger of collapsing. The USA skipper’s season-long loan deal with Racing Santander is in the balance because of an administrative botch-up by the second division outfit. The Spanish FA are now seeking permission from FIFA to rubber-stamp the deal despite a delay in filing the paperwork ahead of the transfer deadline. If that fails Bocanegra will be back at Ibrox next week. A Gers source said: “There has been a hitch at their end. We’re unsure if the deal has gone through.” http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/football/football-news/carlos-bocanegra-could-return-to-rangers-1306970
  12. Think he would leave in Jan. on a free if he couldn't find another temporary move, won't keep his spot in the US National Team playing in SFL3 and the write up on Rangers' website said his wages were too high for us at this level.
  13. Someone on Follow,Follow pointed out that teams in the English Championship can loan in players from September 8 to November 25, would allow us to send him back out on loan and still get him back with a year on his contract.
  14. They've actually gotten better over the last few years, when the league first started the team now known as FC Dallas was the Dallas Burn and the now Red Bull New York (owned by Red Bull, ala FC Red Bull Salzburg) were known as the New York-New Jersey Metro Stars. Some of the new names are a bit too poserish though, "Real Salt Lake" (take on Real Madrid) when there is no Spanish royalty in Utah to bestow the title upon them, "Sporting Kansas City" when they are an MLS franchise and not a 'Sporting Club' (don't offer other sports).
  15. So apparently free agents can be signed in MLS through September 15th, so they could potentially come to an agreement to release him so he could play there. As a returning US National Team player Bocanegra would be subject to the allocation order and Toronto FC would have first dibs on him. If this happened Toronto could simply sign him, they could take him and work a trade with another MLS team for him, or they could pass on him and keep the top spot in the order (unlikely as it resets at the end of the year and no one else noteworthy is likely to return, and the rosters freeze Sept 15th). Current MLS Allocation Order: 1. Toronto FC 2. Chivas USA 3. San Jose Earthquakes 4. DC United 5. Portland Timbers 6. Chicago Fire 7. Columbus Crew 8. FC Dallas 9. Vancouver Whitecaps 10. Seattle Sounders FC 11. Sporting Kansas City 12. Real Salt Lake 13. Houston Dynamo 14. LA Galaxy 15. Montreal Impact (Eddie Johnson) 16. Colorado Rapids (Kamini Hill) 17. Philadelphia Union (Bakary Soumare) 18. New York Red Bulls (Luis Robles) 19. New England Revolution (Juan Toja)
  16. He's already registered to us, just loaned to Santander. Should be treated same as if we (or them) canceled it. Loan would have expired before the signing ban did anyways, right?
  17. It's been posted over on Follow,Follow now as well. Nothing on the Twitter-sphere yet. This is not good news for those of us who wanted to see him return next year, imagine he will be gone on a free in Jan or released by mutual consent if MLS can sign him (their international window closed July 27th so not sure there).
  18. Nothing on the website yet, anyone got a scan?
  19. Didn't think it was a bad idea, just behind China with an estimated population of 1.2 billion, unfortunately the signings didn't happen. If you are going to commit those kinds of resources and make the push the signing has to follow, none of them are going to care if it's just a trial and they don't win a contract. Not of the opinion that we should be signing players solely so that we can market in another country on the other side of the globe, but if we find the right player AND that opportunity is there then it would almost be foolish not to.
  20. We made the initial approach under Whyte, but any money we made selling the games to Fox Soccer would have been split evenly between the 12 SPL clubs, FSC ended up signing a deal for SPL rights through 2013-14. Fox decided to relegate them all to a separate subscriber based channel (Fox Soccer Plus) except for Old Firm games, which would air on Fox Soccer - why would I buy a separate pay channel and only catch select games (they didn't air every one) when I could just stream them through RangersTV with all the money going to the club? I don't care about watching Hearts (SFL3 feeder club)-Dundee United or Motherwell-Aberdeen. I did catch the last Old Firm game on FSC and will say that they did a good job, even had their own commentary for the game (from a studio here in the States), but the deal as a whole is crap. Looks like FoxSoccer may be dying a slow death, MLS jumped to NBC Sports Network this season and BeIN just launched here and has acquired the rights to La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, English Championship, Barca TV, Copa del Rey, South American World Cup Qualifiers, and USMNT World Cup Qualifiers; some of which FSC used to have the rights to. Were supposed to come over for three games in the 2010 pre-season (DC United [MLS] at RFK Stadium, Club America [Mexican League] at 110,000 capacity Cowboys Stadium, and Celtic at Fenway Park in Boston) but canned the whole thing after the Boston Globe fiasco; would have done well to go on with the other two and try and find a replacement for the Celtic game - not in Boston, mind you. I don't for a second believe that large numbers of your average American soccer fan would start following us, but between those interested in watching Yanks abroad, the Americans with either Scottish or Scots-Irish ancestry (a combined number around 35 million), and the ex-pats that are here (50 Supporters Clubs between the US & Canada) there is certainly money to be made pushing the brand with glamour friendlies in the States.
  21. Heavy attack works fine against SFL3 or SFL2 teams, I'd be fine with a Walter special (4-5-1) against Motherwell as opposed to kamikazing it. Conservative approaches have their place (see our UEFA Cup run in '08) and we shouldn't be approaching a game against an SPL side the same way we'd approach Elgin City. (cue mass-hitting of the disapprove button...)
  22. Holy shit am I going to be disappointed if this doesn't happen now.
  23. Is it me or does it almost look like he feeds the ball to Brown on purpose to set the whole thing up? He could have easily gone with a pass to the left to an unmarked player or to the middle of the field.
