  5. WALKER ON WONDERGOAL: Kyle Walker revealed that Rafa van der Vaart wasn't going to let him take the free-kick that led to his superb strike and our second goal on Sunday - before having a late change of mind. The Dutch forward looked odds-on to take it with only him and Kyle over the ball fully 30 yards from goal. However, Kyle stepped up and delivered in spectacular fashion, a wonderful curler over the defensive wall and beyond Paul Robinson's full-length dive into the top corner. It was Kyle's second wonder strike into the Paxton Road goal this season after hitting a piledriver to beat Arsenal in October. This goal was no less important as it secured a 2-0 win and vital three points to lift us back into fourth place in the Premier League. "Rafa placed the ball down and I said ‘can I have it?’ and he said ‘no chance’," said Kyle. "But then he said I could have it and that was that. "I don’t practice free-kicks, but I just felt it was right. "As soon as it left my foot, I thought ‘it’s got a chance’ but you never know until it hits the net. "You just get that feeling and luckily it went in." The second goal eased any nerves that might have been growing as we completely dominated the match but only had Rafa's first half strike to show for it. "You always need the second goal to ease the pressure," added Kyle. "I thought it was a good team performance from back to front. "We've got the three points and we'll look to take this form into the next game at Bolton."
