Anyone who doesn't know that Rangers are the biggest club in Britain is fucking stupid.

It is indeed that self same illegal boycott at king's behest that could actually put us under with the court action.
I am beginning to wonder if king actually planned for exactly that outcome.
I'm getting a bit lost with all this. What's illegal???

Lads what time are we expecting the Frampton fight to actually kick off? The usual 4-5am?
Ring walk is 4am apparently.

from Twitter:
We have been informed that the man who sadly passed away was a Rangers and Linfield fan named Ryan Baird from Larne, Northern Ireland, RIP!

Ask yourself the question - would there have been any public congratulation if we had won? Probably not, which is why Politicians should stick to politics.
Correct, not a chance she'd have went on Twitter and congratulated Rangers should it have went the other way.

This is what happens when it's constantly reinforced that it's OK to hate Rangers.
I keep saying it. We're supposed to be the bigots, but fans from the other clubs hate us far more than we hate anything.
But, you know, they don't say fenian or pope so nobody cares.
Post of the year.

Boyle, who was raised in a working-class Irish Catholic environment in Lancashire, confirms that he wanted McGuinness to play a part. “It’s true that, at one stage, we wanted to represent in the opening ceremony the extraordinary steps towards peace taken by the people of Northern Ireland and their representatives,” he says. “Had we done so, we would, of course, have represented both communities.”
Seems like a good gesture to me.

No offence but you come across as a despicable human being. It's people like you and your posts give us a bad name. I feel a sorry for you cause you're a bit thick but when I read stuff like that all empathy goes out the window.
I bet I've seen Linfield play more recently than you too.

Fuck me you can get 20 pages on any auld shite on here!
Most of my threads top 20 or 30 pages cause they're well thought out, they stimulate thought and they spark debate. There's few posters on here that can produce stuff to this level.
In a way you're lucky to have me on here.
Cheers.

Ok Gents, the computer room will be closing shortly and we gave to go back to the ward.
I'll log on next week and start another thread about something else.
Cheers.

Thats absolutely codswallop - there is nothing "offensive" about it whatsoever.
In youre opening post you stated youre objection to it based on 3 premise
So are our children singing nursery schools songs which are offensive ?
Its not an "England song" if Rangers fans have adapted it for our own purposes
Unike you I have fought in a war and if a group of football supporters were singing positively about the Commandos exploits during the Falklands War - Id be honoured that my fallen comrades sacrifices were being remembered more than 30 years later at a football ground outwith Rememberance week.
Ok, suppose it comes down to personal opinions about taste then.
I think the song is crass. Total garbage.
-
No its not.
How is a song about German bombers part of the same problem as sectarian singing ?
It's the same mindset of trying to offend. Whether you like it or not there's an element who use our club and indeed loyalist culture to try and be provocative, act the hard man and to intimidate. You see it every year at the walk, people you just wish had stayed in bed embarrassing themselves and shaming the tradition and culture.
-
More like too many supporters who want to forget or feel ashamed of our culture and our clubs longstanding British/Loyalist traditions.
I totally disagree.
We need to go on a charm offensive. Celebrate our culture and traditions in a positive manner. All this trying to be edgy and offensive at every opportunity will only see our British/Loyalist traditions further marginalised and eventually die out.
-
Well I have to say thats pretty ironic coming from you. Lets talk about intelligence in fact Ski Bunny...
On an evening when our fan base are reported to the SFA for alleged "sectarian chanting" you come on here with a rant about a song which has no sectarian connotations whatsoever.
Way to go Einstein
It's all part of the same problem/mentality.
Christ, you only have to look at some of the replies on both threads to see we have too many supporters who are only too happy to drag our club and culture through the mud.

I can honestly say I never heard 10 German Bombers being sung at Rangers games when Klos and Albertz played. Its not sang to disrespect the brave men and women, normal people on all sides in the war who fought while the fecks that started it all lived in mansions and sipped Champagne, it sang for a laugh. I used to get embarrassed by it when it was sang while Klos and Albertz were on the park but it never bothered them as the saw it for what it was and so should you.
As far as I was aware the song was first sung by England fans in 2006 when the World Cup was held in Germany. For some reason in recent years we've started singing it and changed the RAF from England part to RAF from Britain.
If someone knows otherwise then I'll gladly be corrected on this.
-
Aye cause it was only Englishmen that were in the Royal Air Force,it was only people from England that defended the United Kingdom from a Nazi invasion.
Get this thundercunt tae fuck
Are you stupid?
-
Post it beside a cheese grater and a potato peeler!
-
Who are you to impose your morals on others? Should we get approval on what songs we can sing?
.
I'm not saying you should ask my permission before singing songs but I could give some guidance if you wanted to come to me before hand. That goes for everyone on here.
-
Any song we sing that celebrates our rights to freedom of speech, fought and won for against the Fascists should always be sung...LOUD and PROUD.
Never surrender our rights to appologists such as the op.
I'm specifically talking about this one song. I'm not an apologist...or a hand wringer....or a yes voter... Or a taig...
-
Fuck you.
Another intelligent response. This place really has gone to the dogs.

So my uncle who has been in the armed forces for 23 years is a fanny for singing this song ?
I'm not saying your Uncle is a Fanny, but he probably looks like one when he sings that song.
