So i'm absolutely gutted as many if not all of us are. Yet another defeat from our rivals. It's horrible, all week knowing this match is coming, batting down a grim reality with hope that maybe we could pull something from it and it just falls flat in your face.

However, I was right to be hopeful and it's the most hopeful i've been about an old firm for a while. Simply because I can see that we're heading in the right direction. Our rebuild isn't over, we're still working towards being the giant that we once were. But steadily progress is being made. and honestly I have tip the hat to the manager who shows passion and want to make the club be successful. His game plan was good, first half didn't concede and handled celtic well. Denied a stonewall penalty that even Chris Commons, Andy Walker and others have even said is a stonewaller. But inconsistent and bad refereeing aside, we still did have a foothold in the game. I didn't feel at any point, "this is going to be another 5-1". It was going to be close and a relatively equal match up.

However, we do still lack a cutting edge. A final killer pass and squad depth. We are nearing that point and with another transfer window or two, I do firmly believe we can win the league. Call me whatever you want and say Pedro should be long gone by that point, but we need to just knuckle down and accept there is a skill/financial gap between us and celtic. It's not a crime to admit that and we need to accept we're not going to be league winners overnight, it's something that needs to be worked on. We're getting better quality players that can do the job for us. Pedros tactics for what their worth do work and are sound in concept. Getting rid of Pedro and his team now would be fucking insane, all that work he's putting into the club, the tactics, the players so on: would be all for nout. We'd need to rebuild from absolute scratch again with a manager who would want his own team, his own squad, his own way of doing things and this cycle would keep on repeating nigh endless.

Pedro has be given time to make further improvements. Things are looking more solid than they ever were and we need to build on that. Silverware can still be won, hell the league can still be won. A good winning strings needs to happen and bad results for celtic, but nothing is impossible. We have to remain hopeful and follow Rangers, given them the support they need and deserve. And in time we will be rewarded with success.

I see where your coming from however are you sure your account has not been hacked by Reformation Bear?

Tav had a pretty good game, I thought.

    Hodson on the other hand...

Our defenders cant defend, its unfortunate but true. A few positives this season, Morelos, Ryan Jack and Tav seems much better going forward.

    Hodson on the other hand....

Got caught by the run of the thumb for his goal could have cleared the ball that fell to Rogic.

I thought it was him that got caught by the run wasnt sure otherwise i would have been very impressed.

  4. Take out of this whatever you want. Before Tuesday id have said sack PC if we lost today however i changed my mind. By the way Im no fan of PC and  I never fancied us today .

On Tuesday Pena showed a few glimpses of an intelligent footballer, not everything came off for him but he had some good touches and showed there is something there. He has'nt had a full 90 mins but has scored twice already. The key to this guy is getting him up to full fitness ( how that can be after this amount of time god or those inside Ibrox only knows) and i think if he stays sound he can be a player for us. We have not had a goal scoring midfielder with a bit of intelligence and craft for many years.

I thought D John had a great game on Tuesday going forward. I dont know the extent of his injury but id have him in at left back and he has a couple of months to prove himself with the injury to Wallace.

Windass actually had a good first half today but i dont wont him or Miller in the first team. Forget about today this has come too soon but Id say the key to this is Pena, i can see signs of Rangers actually start to move through the gears.  I think in a months time Rangers can start to click and be a much improved team.

If we continue to toil, lose points and games then yes the times up for PC.

The other mob have better players than us and it fucks me off the way we collapse when we go behind. Injuries was the last thing we needed today that hit us more than normal. Roberts against Hodson  was the biggest mismatch since the hare and the tortoise. Would have been interesting if we have had got the penalty and scored...

The league was never on and we all know that but we can certainly be best of the rest and if we can start to show what i hope for in the next month and gel into a side then we can possibly take them in a one off cup game.

I dont think its all as dark as most will see it tonight but as i said i think Pena getting up to full fitness will have a big bearing on this.

His family are or were landowners in Fermanagh and I believe they own one of the islands there on the lakes

.He was sent up to board at Campbell in the Stormont area but he became friends with guys from the Newtownards Road and spent a lot of time there during his schooldays according to the documentary

Is this documentary on you tube?

I always stick up for him. He wasn't great last night, but the abuse he receives is way over the top, as it was for Barrie. I get the feeling that many of us are actively wanting him to play badly, or make just one mistake so they can give him abuse. The abuse some of our young players get is ridiculous, we need to be supporting them, not wrecking their confidence. Ross got a lot of praise last night, and rightly so, but I can guarantee as soon as he has a game in which he doesn't play well, then the abusers will be out in force. Keep plugging away Josh, there is a player in you, just keep your confidence up and fucking bag a goal against the filth.

Weve been watching his shots 10 yards wide or over the bar for a very long time and trust me there has been plenty of them. Cant get past a man. He is utterly dreadful.

This season's whipping boy. He's young, got the raw talent and has kicked on from last season. By no means our worst player tonight and the more game time he gets, the more his overall game will improve.

For crying out loud he's worse than shite every time he plays.

  8. Out of the blue he had a good half hour against Motherwell. He scored a good goal last week.

If those can remember him he makes Andy Kennedy look like Neymar.

I know the boy is limited but watching his final ball and woeful  shots make you cover your eyes.

Some Rangers commentators say he will come good and is a great prospect?

What is it they see that i dont?

    He's fucking awful.

Even though we need to go to war you know what will happen if/when we release our statement ..

the media, fans of other clubs and even some arsehole ex players will pipe up with Scottish football doesn't need this childish tit for tat nonsense

nothing surer and their silence when celtic talks speaks volumes

where's your guys in Scottish footballing positions who won titles with us like Neil McCann or Derek McInnes? Why aren't they saying something about it?

or that fud Barry Ferguson in his many columns - he has an opinion on just about everything else

I said this yesterday, we need someone such as Walter Smith to come out with a big statement and one that puts slant eyes and their vile attitude in their place.

Super Ally reincarnated, give him the ball and he will have a bash.

    Clever little player as well.

The difference is Ally missed 3 sitters for every goal he scored but  Morelos so far has a fantastic goals scored for chances missed ratio.
