  1. Spoke to Fernando and Michael Mols outside of jury's hotel before I went to the game today . Glad Iwas with my son or would have found it a bit emotional , both absolute wonderful guys and how Fernando finds the strength to keep going is so inspiring .

Keep on keeping on fernando , we love you . A Rangers captain forever , the air is pretty thin up there .

  2. Remembering Ian Redford and our great cup games at Hampden in the 70s and 80s reminded me of the guys who used to climb from the back of the Rangers End along the roof supports to stand at the front of the supports 50 foot above the crowd with a Union flag or banner usually carrying a half bottle or bottle as well.

How those guys never fell of I'll never know but they certainly added to the atmosphere.

Anyone else remember this, or even better did anyone do it or know someone who did ?

Don't even remember or know what the old hampden looked like , sounds cool though . Stadiums in UK are so regulated now . Went to a Milan derby a few years ago at San Siro and saw no stewards and was mayhem , could do what you liked

  3. The last genuinely excellent Rangers side IMO, he was immense

Big time . Remember seeing him cutting about the west end even in the middle of winter with a parka on and the hood up , wee unassuming guy but what a fucking player . Think he was player of the tournament t World Cup 90 but got suspended for final , maradona always said he was best player in the world that year . Always think of him when I hear the BF singing " he's blues he's white he fucking dynamite caniggia" rather than ian durrant

RANGERS will hold transfer talks with Cyprus international Athos Solomou next week, when the player and his agent arrive in Glasgow.

The APOEL Nicosia full-back, 28, is due to fly to Scotland to discuss a move to the League 1 leaders and is free to sign a pre-contract agreement, with his APOEL contract expiring in June. Rangers monitored Solomou, who has both Champions League and Europa League experience, throughout last year and most recently watched him in APOEL’s Europa League group match against Eintracht Frankfurt last month.

Ibrox officials will now hold face-to-face discussions with the player and his agent next week. They must decide whether to pay a transfer fee and sign Solomou immediately or agree a pre-contract for a summer move. Both parties will also discuss wages and contract terms.

Solomou is a versatile right-back who can also play on the right side of midfield and is a regular in the Cyprus international squad. He was involved in APOEL’s run to the Champions League quarter-finals in season 2011/12, where they were eliminated by Real Madrid.

He has played all of his career in Cyprus with Apollon Limassol and APOEL, winning both the domestic league and cup. After 11 years in his homeland, he is keen to move abroad and Rangers are favourites to secure his signature.

Also being said that one of those no longer required at Ibrox is holding out for a £200,000 pay off, hopefully the player in question doesn't get blamed for someone else's mismanagement.

  5. I remember reading about him saying how he had been deaf in one ear from when he was a teenager and tried to hide it and how his other ear was now badly damaged and he was almost deaf now but playing competitive golf . He was very positive and sounded very determined but you don't ever know how people are coping . Very sad .

  6. Just a heads up to bears that book travel etc in advance this game might also need to be moved as the c****c are also scheduled to play at home that day!

Who gives a fuck about THE Nappy Rippers . Always suspicious about certain terminology , like jim the cunt at clyde talking about "the hoops" , only a nappy rippin earl haig would call them that , never hear him saying the "Gers " etc .

  7. He's fast becoming my favourite Rangers player, scores goals and brings others into play. He's an absolute perfect fit for us down here.

He's making a lot of people look a bit stupid considering all the utter shite they posted about him in the Summer.

    Nice one pal , agreed
