  1. The only thing that makes any sense to me is that after Res 11 gets passed at the AGM new investors are lined up who will want their own manager in.

This is the only reason I can think of for not appointing a new manager.

Or is this just wishful thinking?

We have come a long way over the last 4 yrs and still have a way to go but this management team are going about things the right way . We should give them our backing and we will get there . You can see from those who don't like us how desperate they are to get rid of Warburton, that in its self should tell us plenty . We will be back at the top before too long . Aberdeen were lucky today and I have seen better Rangers team go up there and loose

    Good post.

Now is the time we should all be sticking together and supporting the team and management. There is a lack of confidence that is affecting all of the players and we definitely need to toughen up. I have no doubt that this will change.

it's easy being a supporter when the going is good. Much more difficult at present. I'm sure we will continue to play our part.

  3. First opening post so please be gentle.

Pretty fed up with the negative posting and games being played.

We sit a couple of rows behind the Director's Box and have a good view of what goes on. There seems to be a huge amount of handshakes, fake kisses and self congratulation going on.

It got me thinking. Who would get my support?

My view is that we (the fans and shareholders) hold ALL of the power. If the custodians / owners do not convince us they deserve our support - they have nothing.

We have all of the future funding.

No one has my support at this point.

So who would get my support??

Someone who has a coherent plan and a vision for the future.

Someone who has a sound, proven business track record.

Someone who "sells" this plan and does not resort to criticising other parties.

Someone who wants to take NOTHING out of Rangers.

Someone who puts Rangers first and not themselves.

Someone who commits to "What can I do for Rangers" and not "What Rangers can do for me"

This may sound idealistic but I won't back anyone 100% unless they meet the above criteria. The recent games have focused the mind on what is required.

    What do you all think?

  4. I am sick of this playing Ally, the poor man has been a f***** rock for this club, mother and father dealing with everything over this worst period in our history. He could have easily walked away, you think he needs this kind of **** everyday abused in the papers, constant press conference where he didnt even know what was going on, it is his honest LOVE for this club that has kept him going, i couldnt think of anyone who could have handled themselves so well throughout this. He is a legend and he is trying his best with what skeleton squad he has to drag our club back from the brink. People forget how hurt he must have been the whole team leaves, guys he knew for decades "...sorry we are off..." How hard that will have been and he is rebuidling, he cant buy anyone, and he only has what he could get and i think he is trying his F****** hardest, no-one will be hurting more than him just now.

    Agree with you completely mate.

We are all hurting but we have to stick together and support the entire Rangers family.

  5. I joined RM 14 Feb last year when the club needed support.

2012 will be remembered for an incredible effort by all associated with Rangers. I am so proud I was a little part of it.

We are so much stronger and more aware now than ever before.

    We definitely are the people.

  6. (tu)

one of them against SPL team, and one away from home, and one by a good few goals.

    Agree.

Guys it would great if we were destroying teams and playing silky football but we're not.

Unfortunately there is a massive rebuilding process going on at all parts of our club and a huge fight to protect our history and what we stand for.

This is the priority as far as I am concerned.

The positive side is that all us Bears are uniting behind a common goal. Rangers.

Of course we need to question but I think we have come a long way the last 3 months and the entire club should be shown loyalty and patience fot their efforts.

    All the best

  7. “In all institutions from which the cold wind of open criticism is excluded, an innocent corruption begins to grow like a mushroom - for example, in senates and learned societies”

    (Friedrich Nietzsche)

One could be forgiven for believing the above quote by, German Philosopher Nietzsche, was written with the current Rangers situation in mind, excluding the fact that he died in 1900 of course.

For a matter of months now Rangers internet bloggers have been suggesting that there is a powerful stench of corruption emanating from the football governing offices of Scottish football, with both the SFA and SPL the recipients of such accusations.

In fact setting aside their corrupt practices for a moment, their glaring incompetence and negligence, their failure to engage in a diplomatic manner with other organisations, but most of all their lies, threatening and intimidating behaviour towards the SFL chairmen, should have had our press in Scotland asking some probing and uncomfortable questions for Messrs Regan and Doncaster at the very least.

Instead, despite SFL chairmen providing documentary evidence which proved that Stewart Regan was lying, our Scottish press, rather than pursue him over his absence of integrity, gave him column space to attack Rangers as “unjustified”.

However Roger Hannah's expose` in the Sun newspaper, which corroborates an earlier Daily Record claim, that he has seen documentary evidence that the SPL wished to strip Rangers of a number of domestic honours as far back as the summer, at least, changes everything. Perhaps now some of those journalists who have been quick to criticise Rangers bloggers as “deranged” , “deluded” or “paranoid” will chose their words more carefully in the future.

It beggars belief that there has been such an exclusion of the cold wind of open criticism towards these governing bodies given their dreadful handling of the Rangers crisis, should the silence of our media continue then a number of editors should be re-considering some journalists contracts. Should such an exclusion continue I would be forced to apologise to my fellow Rangers supporters who claim there is a widespread media conspiracy against our club.

This is no mere “smoking gun”. This is a full bloodied atomic bomb seeking a detonator.

What Regan and Doncaster have done, assisted by their SPL cohorts is breached a fundamental rule of Scottish Law, and of European Human Rights - they have declared a defendant guilty before the case against them is proven. If “Sporting Integrity” was a sham then the investigation by Harper & MacLeod and the subsequent hearing scheduled for November 13th is quite simply off the planet.

I was reminded of a story told me by an old Policeman many years ago about the practices of a rural Sheriff Court “in the sticks” for want of a better term. When the accused was to appear for trial the Sheriff Clerk would summon him/her with the shout “March the guilty bastard in”.

But that's where the humour ends.

The conduct of Regan, Doncaster and the SPL is so seriousness, that it now requires external examination. Does it not say it all that when the SFL got a whiff of what was happening they quickly excused themselves from any further participation.

The politicians in Scotland who have backed off from this crisis for so long can no longer be permitted to. There is absolutely no confidence in the Scottish footballing authorities, other than the SFL, and this latest revelation must serve as the last nail in the coffin for Messrs Regan and Co.

Their conduct has usurped and invalidated a bona fide investigation. Yes for us as Rangers supporters it's the mother of all “own goals” but it should serve notice to everyone interested in Scottish football that the the governing authorities are not only unfit for purpose, but their professional conduct makes their positions totally untenable.

The mushroom of corruption at the SFA & SPL has now been exposed, it has to be stopped before it does further damage not only to our game, but our credibility as a sporting nation, one which in only a couple years time will host the Commonwealth Games.

Once we have rooted out the mushroom of corruption our next logical step should be to expose those who cultivated it.

Good post. Agree with every point you made.

This info has been common knowledge for some time now. What we really need is some competent investigative journalist to follow this up and ask the obvious questions and not accept the stock answers. No one seems to want to take this on.

If I was an up and coming journalist i would go for this. This is a story will provide plenty of headlines and exclusives for someone with balls.

It worries me that no journalist is running with this.

    Any ideas why?

  8. The fact that evidence after evidence emerges to show the level of corruption against our club and yet they still continue speaks volumes for how rotten to the core the governing bodies are.

They're going to need a few more carpets for the sweep.

    Exactly.

How are Regan and Doncaster still both in their positions after the complete shambles they have presided over?

I, and i'm sure most people and even journalists, were sure at least one of them had to go. The fact that they are all still in position is very concerning. Add in the Harper McLeod conflict of interest and it looks to me like a cabal of untouchables protecting each other.

The fact that the press are not asking any questions is incredible but I suspect that regardless of public pressure they will all remain in position to try and strip titles.

This is turning out to be an investigative journalists dream.

Apologies for the above being slightly negative but it is forcing our fractured support to come together as one. If we continue supporting the club we will overcome anything that is thrown at us. I know that results and on the park performances have not been acceptable but the big priority just now is off the park.

We have to protect our history and rebuild all parts of our club. Even when the results have been poor, I feel that there is a definite sense of optimism and togetherness which I've not witnessed before.

I hope to look back in 10 years time and feel that I have contributed in my own way to Rangers' full recovery. I hope you all do to and we stick together to support the team, the manager, the chief exec and each other.

Cheers guys. Have a good day.

  9. Good evening panel.

I wonder if you could help me. I've started reporting on local junior matches as an first step into sports journalism and I was wondering if you could share the benefit of your experience.

As you'd expect at junior grounds, I cannot be guaranteed electricity for my laptop, an old one with a weak battery that I cannot afford to replace and will have to rely on the old-fashioned pen and notepad.

The trouble is that last winter I experienced my pen freezing up, which was most frustrating. I took several different types but they all froze up. I wonder if you could help.

Could the panel please give us their thoughts on pen state?

If I was a young, ambitious, fearless journalist I would be looking for an interesting story which might result in worldwide attention.

The link between Celtic boys club and Penn State is so obvious that it demonstrates how compliant the mhedia in our country is.

This demonstrates clearly how journalists are clearly afraid to ask the difficult questions. What kind of state do we live in?

  10. Do you think the fact that we are being attacked so openly will galvanise us even further and mobilise to deal with this nonsense far more effectively.

The press are not asking the simple questions.

Why was the Celtic EBT acceptable? They simply accept the SPL's statement.

Why are they not linking Penn State and Celtic? The Penn State story went worldwide. If one of the journalists had some credibility and balls they would have quite a story..Instead they settle for regurgitating the same old garbage.

    :sherlock:

In connection with the C&@tic fan dropping his skid marked Y fronts at the John Greig statue commemorating the Ibrox disaster.

I've been thinking about this today and how the press react to Rangers.

Imagine if this was a Man Utd fan and a monument to the Liverpool fans who unfortunately lost their lives at Hillsborough?

Am I correct in thinking that this would be front page news and the low life who interfered with the monument would feel the full force of the law?

Why is there is a difference in the West of Scotland? It seems that all of the political power lies with the minority groups.

    Any thoughts?

  12. So with Liewells daughter working with the lawyers investigating Rangers then that means that Liewell and Rhegan could have inside info. That is a conflict of interest straight away,i am surprised at the OP taking such shit at the start of this thread.

Cheers DH, was beginning to think that no one was interested in this. It demonstrates how interlinked SPL / Celtic are. Does anyone seriously think we have been treated fairly over the past few months? It seems that we would rather indulge in petty in fighting which serves no purpose that the take a good look at what is happening.

We should not play the victim card or be upset about what is going on at present - we should keep our eyes wide open and call out unfairness where we see them. We need to stick together and be determined to fight our corner.

I only put the info out there to try and demonstrate how plenty businesses in Glasgow operate.
