Can't wait to see the report of that incident in the media.

having seen the change in Lafferty playing for Northern Ireland over the last few years, I knew it'd be different this time round at Ibrox.
whatever he did, Michael O'Neill got Lafferty to focus on being as good as he can possibly be - when I watch him now it seems that he understands that playing for his country and now Rangers is the pinnacle of his career and deserves his very best. That's about as much as we can hope for from any player.

I’m unsure why they thought our support would have stayed for that part. There’s no support in the world that stays around to watch the opposition lift a league title
exactly, that wee sh*te was just doing it for the cameras - waving cheerio to empty stands

Torn between wanting to see Brady achieve something incredible or seeing Philly win their first Superbowl. Tough call.

It's only a matter of time before the lack of genuine competition brings the media around to backing the underdog and questioning celtic - they have to have something to write about.
With no clear prospect of celtic facing a serious challenge on the field, bored journos will start getting picky about how they behave. Maybe this is a beginning of that process.

Some of these guys probably wish they played for them. The whole set up is crap. How can you play for Rangers and not understand what this game means. The way this is going the OF is becoming just another game for the players when to borrow from Bill Shankly it should be played as if the outcome is more important than life and death.

Still convinced that the only solution is for one of us to win big on the Euromillions and splash the cash on a team of solid professionals.

Just win today. That's all.

always thought we were the 'light blues' because Scotland played in 'dark blue'.
Then again as the song says, "...we are boys in Royal Blue'.
We need to get back to this blue:
There's clearly a retro trend coming in kits. Just look at Chelsea this season with Nike, basically a modern copy of their early 70s style and colour.

We should all ask nbm for their statement on the IRA songs and banners this week. Would they recommend Celtic educate their supporters about the wrongs of sectarian intimidation?

CFC have released a statement, does this now mean there will be a hunt on for the offenders (like the police did with the Hibs game) and some football bans issued? Also will referees stop any future games until the 'terror banners' have been confiscated by the police?
This is what their statement said
Presumably the guys in the white T shirts that also bear the IRA volunteer image will be identified and given life bans. That's the punishment Linfield gave to the bloke that got on to the pitch after the first game.

On BBC Scotland News today during the press conference Rodgers said 'Over the course of my time here my players are very disciplined... we always try to win any game of football in the most sporting way we can, in the best way we can... it's not an issue the discipline.'
You'd think the next logical question would be 'if you try to win in the most sporting way you can, why have you let one of yours players tie scarves to goalposts at the three grounds where it's most provocative, lay a scarf on the penalty spot of one of those grounds in a manner designed to be provocative, and why do your players repeatedly gesture at opposition fans in those grounds'. You'd think. Nada, of course. Journalists in this country are shocking.
Also read tonight that Rodgers is suggesting a one match ban might be the outcome. Just wonder if they've been told that in advance of the hearing.

Bad enough for UEFA to charge him, yet literally nobody apart from us seemed to notice it even happened.
I'm beginning to wonder if the ref clocked the 5-1 gesture (and understood what he was at) - it's not often a player gets booked for time wasting when a bottle is tossed at him, but that ref clearly wasn't having any of it

he's a wee toe rag and deserves all he gets.
he's personally charged with provoking spectators and Sellick have been charged with improper team conduct after getting 5 yellow cards in the game.
with hindsight it's as well they declined their ticket allocation, with the Sellick players ramping everything up there'd have been a full scale riot

When the dust settles we did ok for part timers ,should have scored twice. The Celtic fans who I could see and hear did not sing IRA songs and it would have passed off remarkably well if not for Griffiths..the PSNI have a hard enough job without that no mark mixing it. Yes it is wrong to react but fans will when they are provoked..Griffiths was subbed came unto the pitch at end an attempted to tie a scarve it was on the post for two seconds..but it was a provocative gestuure
thought the Blues did well, especially second half - no shame in that performance at all, just a pity they couldn't have sneaked a goal. Griffiths should face a sanction from Celtic but I guess that's unlikely. I'd like to hear Rodgers asked about it.

not good enough, a wake up call. last season's glory won't be enough to get through this season, looks like there's a lot of work needed to get properly into shape
