  1. We had a lot of people transfer on their old salaries, we had new people come in to the business on not far off what salaries would have been for those positions when we were in the SPL, we have had lots of people reaching settlements on paying off their contracts. The hatred towards McCoist for this is so out of whack and proportion that I cannot understand it.

The problems people have with the performances are fair enough, but rumours that this had set us back years or decades appear to be proven to be bollocks.

People have just got into the habit of hating and aren't going to give it up now, which is pretty sad.

And for the record, Ally has contributed far more to our club than he has ever taken back out.

  2. He worked for half his salary for almost all of 2014 - which I am not aware of anyone else doing, he worked for nothing for months of admin, not knowing if he would be able to get any of it back ever, he resigned when everyone wanted him to resign, and now he has reached a settlement with the club that our chairman is happy with.

And for all of that, he is slated by most, and for daring to get another job.

  3. If Whyte bought the club fraudulently, then everything he sold after that was stolen goods. That means they shares belong to the oldco, no matter who paid what for them. They weren't Whytes to sell, so should still belong to the oldco regardless of who has them or what money they paid for them.

If this is the case, they should be returned to the oldco. They belong to the oldco. I don't want King just buying Arsenal shares, I want the shares the oldco owned (the exact shares) returned to their rightful owners.

You might want to consider the entirety of what you are saying (and the legality of it) if the shares are rolled back, and everything else sold rolled back, does that mean fans should get refunds on tickets, and shirt sales, and should we refund our sponsors and retail partners?

  4. He'll get an interesting response, should he turn up to Rangers game, and it would be slightly amusing to see him describe his successor's dazzling football.

Any criticism of us would be taken with a silo of salt.

We may well see in the future, I would be amazed if he didn't receive a very warm response. Not everyone is like us obsessive forum posters who heighten everything to a ridiculous degree. I remember Souness coming back to manage for a testimonial game or a benefit one or something many year's ago, and he got pelters because he was still detested for walking out to go to Liverpool, now, I have got well over it and appreciate the great things he did for us. Ditto with Ally, I don't think that what has happened in the last 12-18months even comes close to the amazing decades before.

  5. It is. It's great he's off the wage bill.

What isn't good, is that it's taken a big offer from elsewhere for him to 'settle' despite taking an enormous wage for 9 months of sitting at home while the fans financed it. And then playing it off as though it's 'for the loyal fans'.

I'm sick of him trying to pull the wool over the fans eyes. It's the latest in a long line of bullshit, from hiding salaries, secret penny shares, the wind, Charles Green, plastic pitches and so on and so forth.

Fans (the majority) are no longer 'blind followers'. We have access to information and discussion that we didn't 15 years ago, and most can make informed decisions about it.

I don't think he can be accused of trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, he has said nothing.

  6. What were your thoughts of him as a player? I thought he was decent without being outstanding. I do recall him taking some stick from some fans and was just wondering what your general thoughts on him were.

When he first came into the team as a young player, he was mainly played at right back and struggled, along with our notoriously impatient fans getting on his back. When he was moved into the middle of defence later he came on to a good game and was pretty solid, but unspectacular. Pretty much my recollection.

  7. Always felt like he gave us a massive amount of dig in midfield, scored a few cracking goals in his day, although always felt that him and McCall in the centre midfield area left us a bit short on creativity.

  8. Narcissistic would be a better fit.

I actually struggle to get to work in the morning from staring at my reflection in the car mirrors, not to mention thinking about my superior intellect.

  9. Just because others are bitter and over the top doesn't mean when you are, you are not.

    Weird :/

Love Durrant, I'm personally of the feeling if Warburton sees good in keeping him, it's a good sign.

I am not bitter, and sadly, my 'OTT' comments are just in line with the warped approach this forum has to anyone that people don't like for whatever reason.

  10. Not like you to go all drama queen and blow a simple post out of proportion.

Rangers man, former player, staff member over the last couple of years - doesn't he fit the profile of people to be reviled?

  11. I think that's a bit bitter and over the top.

Whether you like it or not, there are certain individuals that do fit in with raping the club of money while not having any ability to do their job to any kind of standard other than exceptionally poor.

Haha, I am pleased that in a forum where such words and other insults have become commonplace towards players, staff, former players and pretty much anyone else that I am the one who is bitter and over the top!

  12. Surely as a playing legend and long-time club servant we must prove we are loyal Rangers fans by despising him, calling for him to be sacked, maybe accusing him of raping the club or something like that?

  13. All this organised boycott pish is for braindead sheep who cant speak or think for themselves, and for attention seekers like CH etc who want to exploit the club for profit.

Buy a top or dont. Many of the worlds biggest Rangers fans have never bought an official top in their lives. Buying a top isnt a definitive part of being a fan.

The amount of pish some come out with on here just to stroke their own ego gives me the boak.

Frankly in financial terms the boycott of merch will cost the club money, buying tops actually brings profit. So some of yous are just lying cunts. The board know were not happy with the deal,a boycott just costs us more money.

We pay for shirts we dont sell, we make money (yes profit, minimal but still profit) off of shirts we sell. So if anyone can tell me how Rangers will benefit from a boycott without posting utter lies then im all ears. Because the boycott doesnt hurt Ashley he makes money regardless. Boycotting just costs Rangers money and makes us look like moronic sheep

Rangers could benefit from a boycott if it encourages our retail partner to return to negotiate based on a deal that would see them receive a smaller percentage but actually a substantial amount more actual profit.

Otherwise though, people should buy stuff if they want and not if they don't.
