LBH, McCoist wasn't the most skillful. Great poacher, but he did miss loads and didn't do much in Europe, hence why Souness dropped him. He played in teams where he had quality all around him.

Honestly don't know much at all about him. But if is there to be the guy who holds everything together i can cope with it - his leadership skills seem to be impeccable which may well be very important both on and off the park.
I will trust that our manager is signing players based on how he wants us set up, and if this is part of the plan then I will go with it.

The difference being those two went on to win some very meaningful things for us.

The difference with Ally is that similar to the way Naismith and Mcgregor acted it irks more because they were meant to be such diehard bluenoses.
I can't believe any of them were strapped for cash but were/are happy to get even more at our expense.
I understand why some people see it the way they do, but I do believe that a lot of people have lost all sense of perspective in an attempt to plumb the depths with their insults.

eg who handed him such an apparently one sided deal?
Who turned down other supposedly better loan offers in favour of his offer?
Who authorised the signing of four people who were simply not fit to play without proper checks?
I wouldn't imagine it would be him in court, to be clear, I think anyone maliciously damaging us who could be challenged in a criminal or civil court should be.
I also think we should do everything we can to renegotiate any deals we are stuck with that we don't like. I would prioritise the one that will cost us the most in the long term, and tbh, the McCoist one is getting lower with every further month that we pay him. I am disappointed that he is taking every penny, and have been surprised by it, nonetheless, he was willing to work his notice, it is the club who put him on paid leave.

its funny how people talk about how the green/ashley/easdale board destroyed the club off the park, yet ally destroyed us on it and still people will forgive him for things he contributed to (a great deal) along with others
There are a lot of funny things about people, like those who think we should leave Ashley alone and not try to renegotiate because he 'has a contract' but think we should stop paying McCoist and see if he would take us to court.
What happened over the last three years on the park has more than just the manager contributing to it, but he seems to receive by far the most insults of all people involved in our club. It seems to be like a sport for people to say the worst things they can, and personally I think it is pathetic, for a muppet to want to wipe him out of our entire history just shows the sort of level that some people have got to with losing perspective on this.
People should certainly have their views on his period as manager, and on his hardening leave, however I feel it has gone way beyond anything acceptable in terms of the language used.

The uefa cup run had fuck all to do with sally as he has shown to be the most incompetent excuse of a manager in our history so don't talk pish. The only thing the cunt has ever fought for is himself and getting as much money as possible for himself while fucking us over in the process

Guess we should wipe out our nine in a row, Champions League run in 92/93, victories over Celtic, not to mention our league titles while he was assistant and UEFA cup run to the final. Oh, and let's give up those other titles that he fought for us to keep in the 5 way agreement.

I wasn't his to sell but he did endorse Murray though, if my memory serves me correctly .
David Murray was very good for Rangers for a long time, it would be pretty harsh to hold issues from so many years later against the previous chairman.

He is a decent solid player and is not in any way a priority to replace. Even back at the top end of the SPL I would be happy to have him in the squad.

A universally popular player comes back to the club as assistant manager on a day that gives almost everyone associated with us renewed hope for the future. You give that all the balance you want, it's a free country, but I have no idea why you feel it needs to be balanced out.
