  1. Mostly there was silence (i.e. little or no response from the audience). On occassiuon he got some applause but never what you would describe as enthusiastic. Other Standard messages were running through like a comon theme included : "anyone who supports Green is Disloyal to RFC" "needs seasonticket holders to remove CG" "Could be a dream scenario if SFA suspend RFC for a year to further starve CG of Funds" "Hang off buying season tickets to starve out CG"
  2. I can confirm that Darche is 100% correct. Checked my 10 pafes of notes from the meeting.
  3. sInteresting Charles Green stated on wednesday that they are looking to raise £20m from this share issue. They have also spent £8.7m to date fot their 50%. Simnple maths places fans buying shares at over 2X what curent going rate is. In addition to get a say (or seat on board) you need minimum 23% holding. If we all individually buy share then we effectively have no say and even at AGM would need to be co-ordinated to have influence. If, however, we aquire through a fan ownership vehicle, we can really have a say in both the future and protect the value and integrity of the shareholding. Coillective ownrship withiun a framework of 1 member 1 vote starts to nake sense then.
  4. thaIt was not Geens FD but Imran from Zeus capital who gave that answer . I believe he confused an exit prices, as was the question, with a personalised view of balance sheet worth. The FD confirmed later that 50% was on offr for around £8m making a true exit price circa £16m. As stated at the meeting I disagreed with his valuation
  5. I fully understand your sentiment and thoght behind this concept. We are RangersUnite also considred this idea both in terms of th individul pitch and the freehold land. It was confirmed to us that any owner would not view this as appropriate, You can understand that any owner who divulged itself of the pitch , for example, could perceive that it could be held to ransom on futue in respect of the use of the pitch. I know we as fans would never do that but from purely a commercial point of view I can see the angle. That is why we amended the RangersUnite proposal away from individualised asset purchase, which incidently stated with the pitch, to a proportion of ownership as fan ownership progresses in tranches towards majority/overall ownership. paul@rangersunite.com
  6. You are spot on. That is exactly why RangersUnite have not asked for any cash . Only when the full legal and financial safeguards are in place including a purpose account restricted to advancing fan ownership and prOviding working capital to Rangers will money be asked for. This is very close now and will consist of named impeccable finance professionals within an overseeing board of around 7.
  7. Not absolutely correct the Financial Fair Play Rules, now in effect, are being staggered in over next 3/4 years. As for sponsorship such as you suggest that will not work sas all have to be seen to be in line with the appropriate market value of such sponsorship deals.
  8. Spot on. We would all like Walter involved - nobody should even need to ask the question. But why present the anti-Rangers press with another great opportunity to portray us as anti this and anti that. Lets wait and see and as fans be ready to support whoever is prepared to start the hard jobof restoring our great club.
  9. At least on this forum you can actually post a view opposite to the dictrate of MD. And when we see someone actually talking some sene the hounds from FF are set loose lol
  10. How do you think our pro-Rangers press will interpretate this? Something tells me it wont be positively
  11. Yes I am involved in RU. I have no problem with anyone disagreeing or offering posivtive criticism - at least we can do that on this forum. All I ask is you read RU proposal , keep an open mind and make up your own mind. Apreciate any suggestions going forward.
  12. The proposals of RU are, along with the various fans groups, create an overarching Ranger Family within which each group retains its identity and specialised area (e.g representing suporters clubs, representing season ticket holders etc.). Approaches have been made to all existing fan groups on this basis. RU are not a fan group and have no interest in being so , only a vehicle to achieve fan ownership to safeguard our clubs future. The financial model and concepts behind RU ha been put togther by financial professionals and have been reviewed as a wholly workable concept by some of the leading Football Finance Experts about. AS for succesfull leagues, Benfica operate in a league similar to ours witth only 2/3 teams at the top every year and dnt seem to being doinf too badly with over 200,000 signed up members regulary doinating monthly income to the club.
  13. Whilst that would clearly be the quickest route with a figurehead of such stature, I also believe it is down to the grassroot Rangers Support to build up momentum and that will in itself attract this calibre of person. Quit rightly people such as Ally and Walter are being courted/pulled in al sorts of directions at the moment and will be correctly wary of all these parties. I believe if we can build geniune fan interest as they say "Build it and they will come".
  14. I see we are in such a strong position without it that we do not need help. Its been so disatrous for the the whole of German Football, and even Benfica who regulary are in the later stages of Champions League. Disastrous- thats how I think I would descibe how we came to where we are now. Not a well developed path which can work along with professionals running our club.
