Why can't TBK simplify things for the buyout, and make things open and transparent to the fans? Why can't they put forward a plan to the fans right now, outlining something like... 1. TBK will put in £25m (that Murray said he had) and use it to buy Rangers FC. For that sum, they will only keep control over assets like players, and all income such as sponsorship, gate money, merchandise, etc. 2. Other Rangers assets like Ibrox and Auchenhowie to be sold to the fans, raising maybe £30m for the stadium and £10m for the training ground (?). The fans give them both places rent free for 3 years, then charge Rangers an annual rent to get a dividend on their investment (say £2m per year for Ibrox and £1m for Auchenhowie, which could be offset by getting a sponsor for the renaming of the latter). 3. Use the money generated from these asset sales to pay Ticketus off, and then we can chase Whyte ourselves for any Ticketus money he pocketed over and above what was paid to Lloyds. 4. Keep any surplus left over from the sales of Ibrox and Auchenhowie (maybe £12m?) and add it to TBK's £25m, to pay the bulk of any HMRC bill if the case goes against us. Any money we manage to get from Whyte can be added to this. So, the fans get to own part of Rangers, TBK get the club almost debt free (supposing we could get an agreement with HMRC to pay off the balance of anything due over a number of years), and with all revenue streams then going to Rangers FC in the future. Make it plain to the fans we are going to live within our means, which should be considerable in any case if the club aren't having to pay interest on loans/overdrafts, or fees to middlemen like Ticketus for our STs. I'm only dealing in rough numbers here, but feel free to say why this or something similar couldn't be proposed by TBK right now.
