FFS Ray we've been getting kicked in the nuts for 7 months solid. Finally we get some news stories in the tabloid(s) with a positive spin for the mighty Gers and you're all over them and some of the other threads on here like ma missus on blob. Let us enjoy our moment and "if" you are right you can come on and tell us all I told you so.
You might want to think about taking up motivational after dinner speeches. I'll book you if it keeps you off here for a night.

Just there on BBC, Traynor said that up until the final moments on that Friday before the first game against Brechin, the SFA/SPL were insisting on penalties. Green kept saying that we're not playing without a licence and the TV companies were on the phone to both offices in Hampden demanding that they sort it out or there would be no TV deal!
Oh, what a tangled web they wove.
Little by little, the tide appears to be turning.
Obvious question, some of us here suggested Charlie held all the aces and asked why he folded a winning hand.
Now if jabba is correct in his assertion, why did Charlie fold when he had everyone over a barrel with regard to the life blood of the game as we know it...TV money, he could have put the whole caboodle to bed then once and for all.

A draft is not an attempt to strip anything, it is an unsigned draft. Talk of stripping was all the rage 6 months ago Doncaster wouldn't deny it or confirm it.

What has been released today is no new information, it was in the Record 3 months ago. I cant see anything happening to Reagan or Doncaster IMO

ALLY McCOIST last night admitted he’s sick of the Ibrox EBT row – after a two-month-old story about a plan to strip Rangers of nine trophies was regurgitated.
The Gers gaffer was stunned to be bombarded with questions about a draft proposal from the SFA and SPL after his team’s 4-1 win over Montrose yesterday.
The bombshell document, first revealed by the Record TEN WEEKS ago, asked the club to accept the loss of five titles and four Scottish Cups in return for a parachute into Divison One.
Our exclusive was bizarrely repeated in The Sun on Saturday, 66 days after it was first published, and McCoist admitted he has grown weary of the battle over EBTs.
He said: “I am dreadfully weary of the whole situation. I will continue to fight – but the most important thing is the future of our club.
“What will be will be. But we have a bit of stability after uncertainty that was bordering on catastrophic. The disappointing thing is that we’re not being able to move forward.
“Today would have been a perfect opportunity to talk about the future of the club, about Fraser Aird, Robbie Crawford and Lewis MacLeod. But unfortunately I keep having to look back and talk about stuff that obviously interests people but we shouldn’t be involved with.”
The SPL have set up an independent commission to decide whether the Ibrox club broke league rules by paying players through the tax-avoidance scheme during a 10-year period.
The panel are scheduled to meet on November 13 but the Record first revealed two months ago that bosses had drafted a document which showed they intended to strip Gers of nine trophies.
McCoist said: “I would think it is strange to mention the punishment for the crime before anyone has been proven guilty or not guilty. You don’t know if you’re going to get 15 or 20 years if you commit a heinous crime.”
It has also emerged that the SFL refused to take any part in the proposed sanctions designed to parachute Gers into the First Division following liquidation.
Hampden bosses wanted to strip Rangers of five League Cups as well only for the SFL to reject the proposal.
And McCoist said: “I won’t lie to you, I’m delighted with the response from the SFL.
“They’ve welcomed us into the league with open arms. The vast majority of clubs who welcomed us in are reaping the benefits.”
The Ibrox boss watched his team recover from a shaky first half against Montrose to move to within a point of Third Division leaders Queen’s Park.
They now face SPL leaders Motherwell in the League Cup on Wednesday and McCoist said: “I hope the occasion would bring the best out in us but Motherwell are an absolute handful.”

But the "source" hasn't been ridiculed by the SFL to this day..if it were untrue i'm pretty sure they would have said so, David Longmuir would have ridiculed that if it were an unsubstantiated rumour, so i believe it to be 100% true.

No the SFL didn't say that, a "source" is alleged to have said it, personally I wouldn't put to much credence on anything the scunner had to say, including the date.

Charlie has made it clear his business and ours was concluded with the sfa and SFL to his and our satisfaction, he still had business to conclude with the sphell on our behalf, any beef is if we take Charlie at face value solely with the sphell for known alleged reasons.
Hopefully peace will break out and the sphell quietly bury this whole charade, unlikely but they are as unpredictable as a wet fart and just as messy at times.

It is probably and more than likely the draft by HM, the fact is it is still a draft.
Anyone who wants to give it more importance than being a draft...carry on.
A draft is a first or preliminary form of any writing, subject to revision, copying, etc.

Where does this document leave Regan and the SFA?
They wanted to strip us of titles without an investigation or an appeal.
They cannot survive this.
It doesn't leave them anywhere, the document is a draft it has draft stamped all over it.
Charlie has publicly stated agreement was reached with the sfa and SFL on relevant matters, leaving the sphell to deal with.
The doc is a draft it will be about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Agreed.
And with clubs having to give 2 seasons notice before they can leave it makes no sense to withdraw as Rangers will be back in the SPL in 2 seasons time anyway.

HMRC do not discuss "clients" affairs with third parties, the whole story is about three months old and Charlie publicly stated all was settled with the sfa and the SFL leaving only the sphell, still can't see why a three month old story lifted from the rhebel is classed as dynamite.
SunSport has also seen an exchange of correspondence between HMRC and the SPL dating back to October and November 2010. Yet there was no official Hampden probe into Gers' use of Trusts until earlier this year.

As the statutes demand that the SPL in its current guise must run with a 12 Club membership, what if not one, not two but say three of the current SPL Clubs decided that they were unhappy and decided to withdraw their SPL Membership due to the current hostilities shown towards Rangers FC, and that regards their own Clubs they are also unhappy / disgruntled at the treatment meted out to them when they were threatened by certain parties if they did not toe the party line?
Would the SPL offer 3 clubs from the SFL instant membership leaving this open to conflict with the SFL Hierarchy?
Interesting times ahead...
....watch this space.

well justice nimo smith has just stated rangers need to be punished ,so why the farce with the so called impartial hearing ,the sfa and spl want to break rangers by hook or crook this is just another attack on our club and history why dont they just pas sentance and stop the farce no wonder green will not attend

Your correct Ray, the Sun's story is not new, and hardly an exclusive, but the good thing about it is that it has been regurgitated at just the right time, with the SFL source now coming out and agreeing that this is indeed a witch hunt, the pressure is on.
I am hoping that these stories are just wee jabs to open up the enemy defenses, so we can land the knockout blow, Surely if the "you cunts have been cheating us for years" quote is real, it must be used NOW!
Definitely must be used now the McKenzie gate stushie, as for the story here very old news and no more than a paper filler, Charlie' statement made it quite clear the only remaining problem could be the sphell.

McKenzie, the real mystery is why his alleged indiscretion has neither been confirmed nor denied, even stranger that it is very forcefully put in to the public domain.
