They really, really need about 4 or 5 world class players to go straight into the XI.

He was a 20-25 + goal level striker prior to Chelsea. For 18 months now he has lacked any goal scoring consistency and I don't see that suddenly returning. 12 assists this season from sporadic appearances suggests he should maybe get a shot in a deeper role.

They should play him wide right, he's put in a few good crosses from that area that have led to important goals. Chelsea are hugely lacking quality in the wide areas and Torres looks better outside the box now. Kalou and Malouda are terrible.

That's a load of nonsense. Steven Naismith is far more talented. Davis is such a great footballer that he gets lost against wee shite Conference level sides like St Mirren more often than not. A half decent footballer will stand out in the SPL week in week out. Davis was for many games this season useless, not for the first time.
