No what is nauseating is people not recognising they are no different to anyone else in the country that has been asked to follow rules and has made the decision not to.

Sorry, but this is where your argument falls down - they ARE different to everyone else in the country.

They are paid a high wage and enjoy a privileged lifestyle which we would all jump at the chance of having if we were good enough. In return, they have been asked to follow some simple rules to allow football to continue during Covid. From past mistakes (by teammates and players from other clubs) it is crystal clear that failing to follow these rules puts the whole game in doubt, is likely to have knock-on effects for their teammates and at worst could stop the title run.

It's simple, the consequences of them deciding not to follow the rules for their own selfish reasons are MUCH, MUCH greater than you or I doing the same.

However, on balance, I think a reprimand and maybe a spell out on loan to think about what they have done is about right (a bit like sending a child to their room). If they are going to make it as professionals they will see this as an opportunity to impress the gaffer; if not they will end up fucking up their careers as many before them have done. Either way it would be better knowing sooner rather than later what they are made of.

    This.

In my firm, 1 partner gets fucking raging if you send him a report to review and have referred to "Management have £3m of accumulated profits" instead of "Management has £3m of accumulated profits". Like I've seen the guy go fucking tonto. I made sure I've never made the same mistake

Whatever? Any chance you could get the Management to buy a couple of new players with this £3m?

Sack him or draw a line.

He's either breached his contract or he hasn't.

Breach of contract is not necessarily grounds for dismissal. It would be far worse for the Club to sack someone and then find themselves involved in a legal case for unfair dismissal.

I assume over the last few days the Club will have made sure they are doing everything by the book. Three weeks suspension is a harsh penalty and may trigger JB walking, but so be it. It appears he has stepped way out of line and needs some time to reflect.

The media up here are fucking desperate to see what we are building go to shit. Absolutely desperate.

    Fuck them

Can't see the link with 'the media up here' myself. This story was written by an English based journalist working for the Daily Mail, picked up by an automated news aggregating website and then mentioned by a RM member.

For what it's worth I think the story is a load of shite (it is the Daily Mail after all).

  5. They tapped his phone. An alcoholic's phone. He then put two and two together with a few things and said to his therapist he thought his phone was being tapped. She told him he was paranoid.

How fucking scummy is that? It couldn't have helped him. Quite the opposite I would have thought.

And the Mirror repeated this kind of shit with countless people.

Really hope that they manage to tie Piers Morgan to this. It happened on his watch, the bastard.

  6. As per usual, it will be glazed over and we will be told that it isn't sectarian. It's like dangling a carrot and waiting for us to bite.

He's a clown trying to impress the mhutants and they are like a bunch of lemmings ready to follow...

I will be very surprised if even the mhedia take interest.

Get mini to have his pals at the Daily Record report on it, oh wait...........

Maybe (just maybe) things are changing? This is the second story on the DR online site today.
  7. He's done his time and there is nothing illegal in signing him. However, we have enough problems just now without adding to them. He'll probably end up abroad.

Not quite - he has served the prison part of his sentence but he is out on licence for the next 2 1/2 years. Even after that the sentenced will not be spent. If he had shown some remorse and waited until his case review had been determined I would have had more sympathy for his cause. As for signing him? No thanks.
  8. You don't even know if he was drinking !

Cannae believe a relatively young man would want to be out in a sat night! Shocking !

Just back from a night out in Edinburgh. Ian Black in the vip area on the bevy. If I was MacCoist the players would be in first thing in the morning after getting beat by Alloa and scraping past Cowdenbeath. Fair enough players have a life outside of football, but personally if I was playing for Rangers during the season I wouldn't be out on the drink. Just annoys me like, I'm actually raging how bad things are at the club the now and the players are swanning about not really caring as long as they get their over inflated wages. Also seen him out in Edinburgh two weeks ago the time before I was out. Less time on the bevy, more time on the training pitch improving your game. Cheers pal.

    Did you miss this bit???

  9. Whole of the Govan stand === Govan Derry === back to the good old days of the centenary stand.

Who is the new group, wouldn't give them a hit. Are they the Peoples Front for the Liberation of Ibrox or the Ibrox Liberation Front???

The 'Peoples Ibrox Front for Liberation' or PIFFLE for short.
