  1. No more European football then? rolleyes.gif

No officially recognised "top division" league titles to add to our 54 or 61 anymore? rolleyes.gif

Never going to happen. Maybe for one year and if we could get Champions League Qualification from the SFL I'd be all for it but nah, can't see it happening.

What if during the course of our rise to the pinnacle again, 4 or 5 "big" clubs go to the wall and are forced to follow the route we have undergone, it is possible that by the time we win the first division, the SPL is made up of the filth and very few other bigger teams, the SFL would have rangers and whatever other clubs have had to reapply (Dundee hibs, Aberdeen, Killie, Motherwell etc), the SFL may have the power to lobby the SFA to appoint the SFL as the recipients of the european places. Wishful thinking, but worth thinking about none the less. :sherlock:

  2. I still went in recent years but it had become a routine rather than a desire, this summer's events has ignited a passion I haven't felt since doing the bouncy in the enclosure terraces in the 80s We have overcome the corrupt bastards, we have withstood their siege of our great club and tomorrow we shall sally forth from our ramparts and remind them that we are still here and we come for them with great vengeance. No Surrender! :uk:

  3. The only option they ever talked about was single seat rail standing sections as seen across Germany.

The disadvantage of this particular type of standing is that it is considerably more expensive than seating and does not increase capacity at all.

The same capacity wouldn't be a problem, its the atmosphere that comes with the terraces that would be the main benefit. 7500 standing would generate a better atmosphere than 7500 sitting. I would move my ST back to the enclosure in a flash if they did this.

  4. I've always thought it was 1873, Anything Rangers i bought when growing up it would ALWAYS be 1873 and never 1872. Also on the brick work at Ibrox it's 1873.

1872 or 1873 whatever one you pick it's going to be close :D

That's because we were essentially an amateur team until the professional body was founded and we joined it in march of 1873, the club was playing under the name of rangers in 1872. this was the team founded by the pioneers.

  5. Used to be me and my bro would go for breakfast and a few pints in Partick before hopping the subway, he can't renew his ST this year due to work so i'm also a lone Ranger this year, my ritual will consist of a lone breakfast then a few jars in the Ibrox Louden, hopefully I can meet a few bears to get smashed with on a regular basis. :craphead::beer1:

  6. Never, they had the chance to cement their place in Rangers folklore for generations to come but instead, they chose to shit all over the club, the fans and Ally. In 3 years when we are back in our rightful place and they are languishing at a mid-table league 1 club, I will think back to these times and laugh like a fucking drain at every one of these dirty wee turncoat fucks.

  7. Sensationalist bollocks :sherlock:

I usually like your articles Darche, but please dont jump on the offended bandwagon. I hope you send this article to our entire home support the next time Broadfoot is having a mare. He gets much worse than a bit of booing, as has Edu and McCulloch and various other players in our team from our own support.

Fans booing their own players is not a new phenonemon, as you will probably find out if you start supporting the country of your birth.

You have missed the point, the outrage stems not from the fact they were booing but the reason for it. He was being booed purely for being a Rangers player, not because he was having a mare. He hadn't even touched the ball and they were booing. Have you ever seen a Rangers fan booing a Rangers player coming on as a sub? I know I haven't and if I did, I would treat them to the same show of outrage.
