  1. One didnt work out, but you try and try again. This McCoist idea smacks of small minded Glasgow folk who cannot think of anything outside of this third world footballing country.
  2. McCoist in charge smacks or small mindedness and would be an amateur move, we need something on a global scale. We need a world class manager.
  3. I agree with the last comment posted. PLG never managed outside of France, however some people on these boards are guilty of just thinking of "planet Scotland". There are some fantastic world class managers around the globe! Some people need to forget the notion that it has to be a Scottish manager.
  4. People are not thinking big here. We need a bigger manager with a bigger pedigree. Think big people, we need a manager with experience on the world stage, with world class players.
  5. We need a world class manager for a world class sports institution. McCoist is not the answer.
  6. True - One of the reasons I turned to other sports. I took my German friend to a Scottish football game and had to apologise for the language and behaviour of some of the "neds" in the ground.
  7. U.S Manager Bruce Arena or Dortmund manager Bert Van Marwijk.
  8. Walter Smith was a cheque book mananger, who made us a laughing stock in european football. I think a lot of Scottish football fans can be very small minded. It seems no matter what people achieve abroad (even in top footballing standards) it only matters what they do in Scotland that counts (even though this is a third world country when it comes to football- which most people dont care about).
  9. "You're on your own pal thinking that way. Did he feel sorry when getting rid of brown, ricksen, bardsley and trying to get rid of barry?" Ricken was drunk and harrassing female air stewards, this is not Rangers class. He was right for getting rid of someone like that. It was good we had a manager who actually wanted players to have grace and manners - who would be good role models for younger players. I'm just sorry it didnt work out.
  10. I really wanted it to work for PLG. He is a very cultured, well educated man, who has a wonderful track-record as manager. He just didnt understand Scottish football. Scottish footballl very much has its roots in the harsh Scottish working class culture. I dont think someone that cultured could mix well with Scottish football. PLG seemed like a lovely man and is a true gentleman, its ashame we dont have more people like that in our game. Instead its overrun with neddy guys who spit and swear every two minutes.
  11. Some would argue he is now part of the problem. He used to be awesome, but this Rangers team needed heart surgery at the end of last season - yet Mr Murray decided a woeful squad only required ?3million to be spent on it. I think Celtic spent more on Hessilink. This is a guy who stated that everytime Celtic spend a fiver, he would put down a Tenner......hmmm...sounds like this guy went to the same school as Tony Blair (all spin).
  12. Gavin Rae....oh dear! The guy is a big carthorse. So much for things looking better in 2007. (willy)
