  1. I do believe you are correct! Not a bad way to start your Ibrox career!
  2. Absolutely the best Old Firm game that I went to that we never won - in fact, it was better than some I went to when we did win! Total bedlam in the East Enclosure.... 2-0 down....down to 9 men....first Ally, then Goughie in the dying seconds....never felt so emotionally exhausted after a game in my life! Almost seems like yesterday.... Some of that fighting spirit - and backing from the fans - and we'll be just fine tomorrow :-)
  3. Aye - you did! I'm sure my old man told me about Third Lanark when I was a bairn! I remember when the Bully Wee played at Shawfield - before it went to the dogs! And the UJ still flies proudly from the Town Hall - much to the chagrin of the attendees of the "mhanky hoose" opposite! :-)
  4. Yes - I am sure you are correct. I'm originally from Rutherglen/Kings Park area and I always walked to Hampden - I just remember a total Timfestation of Rutherglen on cup-final days when the mhank's were involved
  5. 1988...5-1 game - student card and a shirt and tie - said I was an off-duty steward - straight into the East Enclosure. 1989...4-1 game - same tactics except this time I went along 2 hours before kick off and got a friend in too - spent an hour wandering around track-side whilst the cops were having their briefing in the front of the Copland. 2000...porkheid - a tenner to the guy on the turnstile and told him to get his maw a present. 2001....porkheid - managed to retain the whole ticket (rather than give up the stub) then passed it out under the fence for another bear to use to get in....... Oh the fun! Now a very law-abiding (and boring) citizen!!
  6. With oor Alastair's prowess as a manager, I could very well believe that!
  7. Slim Jim v Leggo-muncher....discuss! Haha!!
  8. Tear in the eye.....my late dad's favourite player. LEGEND!
  9. In days of old the Bears got the train from Central to Mount Florida....the filth got the low-level from Central to Rutherglen. Dunno if that still works....not been to an OF game at Hampdump for a while......
  10. Wee Bud.... Aye ...am tuned in for the duration! :-)
  11. BBC Alba - 9,00pm - An intimate portrayal of the personal and professional life of the renowned Scottish football legend. No sure if it's in gobbledygook or not.... Suppose you could turn the sound down...
  12. The nappy-rippers have had one stand-out player in the last 40 years, whereas we have had a myriad (that means "a lot" to any lurking soap-Dodgers) - so our votes were bound to be split over a number of legends.
  13. Another good article written by the man himself: http://talksport.com/football/rangers-return-time-get-over-nonsense-about-gers-no-longer-existing-they-can-improve-celtic Cue - another Timplosion!!
  14. The atmosphere against Dynamo Kiev in 1987 wisnae bad either.... Was in the Copland jumping around like an eejit the whole night. I remember Souness hitting a back pass to Woods from the edge of Kiev's penalty box around 85 minutes, their striker anticipated it as it dropped out the air...he only just missed it as the ball bounced into Chris Woods hands. The place erupted like it was another goal. Happy days...... :-)
  15. "Jock Wallace meets Chris McLaughlin" ....... What a video that would be! :D
  16. The late, great Jock Wallace......THIS is how to conduct an interview with the media numpties.....
  17. I'm reading this and I'm thinking "this sounds like hard work and it's not about weekends watching your football team with the pre and post-match banter". BUT - the timmigrants have made this their way of life for the last 5 years - that's why we're on the back foot! We need to fight fire with fire! (hic!)
  18. Lol! See me - see drink - see computers! Bedtime.........
  19. Aye - ok chaps.....I didn't quite "show them"....But I got it off my chest! Give a (drunken) guy a break :-)
  20. Please employ some proper journalists in your Scottish branch. The standard of investigative journalism is (II apologise for the languarge) utter shite. The piece on the non-story of the "Wind-me-up" order regarding Rangers FC is nothing short of abysmal. Despite reports to the contrary, your news-team still persist with a dialogue of lies and mis-truths. You're reputation has now gone as low as it can go. I look forward to the demise of you corporation with unadulterated glee. Now where do I cancel my TV Licence direct -debit...... Iain W
  21. Damn - there goes my chance to get rid of tonights pent-up frustration..... :-(
  22. If I've mis-judged the lie of the land I apologise. Sorry Rfc52 for my slander. Over and out - Bear Ass
  23. Don't meant to offend you Rfc52 - but you are a diick...get tae yer bed and leave this thread to the adults!
