  1. It's great to be able to talk about players who were either in the side under Ally or Kenny and playing like shite or on the sidelines and say they are man of the match or a contender. Ricky Foster is a different player, as is Dean Shiels (not that Shiels got much of a chance under the previous regime). I thought Zaliukas was superb today. Wallace is back to his best or thereabouts. What a job McCall has done with a bunch of players who seemed to have forgotten what it meant to be a Ranger. Let's not forget the deadwood McCall has had the balls to drop as well - Templeton, Daly, Aird for example. Jig and Moshni to an extent. Well done Zaliukas and well done all at Rangers. Happiest I have been as a bear in some time :)

  2. RTV commentary is beyond dire. BT Sport commentary isn't bad at all compared to that and also Sky with Andy Wanker. How he has kept his job is beyond me. If someone asked me what I want to be when I grow up it would be a motherfucking commentator.

  3. Welcome back to The Greatest Club in the World Stuart. Absolutely delighted with this. I was hoping it would happen for the remainder of the season for a long time now. Let's see how it goes but I have no doubt he will be chomping at the bit to get these underachievers sorted out. I can see a number of changes come Saturday. Don't understand some of the negativity from some fans but that's just my opinion. He deserves a chance and to be honest let's judge this time next month, not next game. We have won one game in seven and we need to be realistic, not many managers would be capable of making an impact on a side so devoid of urgency, enthusiasm, ideas, creativity, pride, energy, skill, cohesion, I could go on...

I would love nothing more than McCall to succeed long term. But short term you have my full support and I wish you all the best in this monster of a task.

  4. I can understand people thinking that some of the top younger managerial talents are not realistic for us at present. It's fair to say that we wouldn't be able to attract a top, top manager right now with bags of experience - nor could we afford it. But I think for some of the younger guys (such as Cathro or Tuchel to name a couple that have been suggested) this is a fantastic opportunity to turn a team of absolute shite in to a force competing at the top of Scottish football again and hopefully doing something in Europe.

Think about it - what an achievement to stick on your CV providing he achieved it. I think it's an excellent opportunity for somebody who may not have even be mentioned in this thread or any other yet to build / cement their reputation and get us back to where we should be. I don't think we should be too downbeat it all - there will be some decent names out there who would be attracted to this role given the opportunity.

Having said all that I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was McCall given the job. I wouldn't be too upset with this although I think we should advertise the job and not just go for him straight away.

  5. Agree with Daly in for Boyd and just about agree with Smith ahead of Temps. Can bring Temps on as he seems to make a bigger impact from the bench. But the defensive decision is astounding Ally. You cannot break up that partnership of McGregor and Jig. Faure should be starting all day long at right back. Anyway...Come on The Rangers!!!

  6. Ally please do the right thing and resign. That was utterly diabolical. Once again I have to ask what the hell goes on at Murray Park? This team is playing at no more than 50% of what it is capable of. We have some decent players but they are shadows of their former selves. McGregor and McLeod are the only consistent performers. He just cannot manage them when we come up against any sort of decent opposition. Calling Alloa decent is stretching it too. You have outstayed the job Ally, just do the right thing please.

  7. I'm pleased you're angry Ally. I am not pleased it sounds as though you won't be resigning. Get it in to your head that these players cannot perform under you and you are the one who coaches them and picks that joke Peralta in the side, ahead of Aird. Get out now!!!!

  8. No respect for this idiot. No admiration for him as a Rangers player. He should just fuck off now. Should be training with the under 10's but then he'd probably still get in a fight. I have never disliked a Rangers player so much. scumbag prick. I couldn't believe the articles earlier this week with ally saying there's a player in there somewhere. He cannot pass the football and is an absolutely awful defender. How can anyone see anything in him. Just get out now.

  9. No, absolutely no chance. I think we can make the play offs but I'm not even certain of that with Ally in charge. We need a management change now to even have a chance of starting to claw back Hearts' lead. They don't look like fading anytime soon despite what some people think and how many more points will we drop even if they did?

  10. Has Ally given a post match interview? I know he didn't to BT Sport.

I just hope after every one of these pathetic results (I have lost count of how many of those there have been, let alone pathetic performances where we have snuck a result) that I will see a genuine Ally leaves thread. Sadly it still seems unlikely to happen despite another horrendous night.

He is not responsible for many of our club's problems but he sure as fuck is to blame for his signing policy and stunningly bad team selections, tactics and failure to change a game when it's going wrong for us.

His time to go was after the Raith cup final - he has had a few more since then. Tonight is the latest of a long line of games he had to go after. But he won't, it's desperate desperate times and so hard to understand why he hasn't gone already.

  11. More than good enough to take the 3 points but still a negative safety first cop-out by McCoist.

The bench is chronic.......it's the Ally way!

Every one of our kids should be attempting to find an employer who'll give them a chance.

Agreed but hope they stick around until Ally is gone. If we could manage to get someone decent in I am sure they'll get a chance as a number of them are worth it

  12. Don't wish injury upon a Rangers player ever, that's not right. But FFS Ally why the fuck is he playing? Lee is passed it. And bringing Moshni back in too. This is just a disaster waiting to happen. Please prove me wrong but said it too many times and rarely am i proved wrong. Come on the Gers. Let's see a fucking big reaction tonight. Don't think we're capable of a reaction with Ally though.

Errr...no they're not. I guess he has to say that though.

I thought 'relatively well' was not a great compliment. :D

I agree. But still way too complimentary in reality! I think that's about a negative as he could have been :)

RIP Sandy. I never saw you play as you played before my time. But I learnt enough about you the last few years to consider you a true Rangers legend. Deeply saddened to hear the news tonight. I just pray our club gets sorted out as soon as possible and your like is seen again at Ibrox in the future. Condolences to your family and friends.
