  1. Today I attended the Bomber meeting to represent the clubs I am a member of - the Hong Kong RSC and the Phuket Bawdeep Loyal RSC. I won't go into details on the meet itself as that is for other threads, however there was one very interesting point that came out about the FF and their latest expenditure.

Apparently their latest purchase has been towels for the first team.

WTF I hear you cry - indeed.

It seems that Jimmy Bell asked the club repeatedly for new towels for the returning players and was refused/ignored/put off/etc.

As a result the FF stepped up and fulfilled this requirement. Well done.

The point which amazed me even more was the cost that had caused so much debate and gnashing of teeth in the corridors of Green's empire - a whopping GBP 507.00 (five hundred and seven pounds).

I would seriously like to know if this is true as the FF men present did not dispute it at all.

If Green cannot supply his players with towels at 500 quid I would suggest there may be issues ahead, and all is not well. There were multiple ex-players present at the meeting and they literally gasped when this was mentioned. Says it all really.

  2. I'm a bit concerned that so many over there are unanimous in starving him out. Whole threads without a dissenting voice castigate Green for unproven acts, waiting on the Brown Knight to save the day some time, kinda soonish maybe or maybe not.

I hope this isn't so common across the general support.

The vast majority on this forum seem to see Green as their saviour of sorts.

The vast majority on FF (I get this info from RM) seem to see Green as a liar/cheat.

The vast majority of Rangers fans do not use either forum.

The majority of fans I have spoken to recently in HK, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and now Scotland do not want Green, but are cautious with Bomber as they are yet to see/understand what concrete plan he has or is proposing.

I would say this is backed up somewhat with the current season ticket sales. Will it remain like that now we are in Div 3? Who knows.

Will Green stick around now he knows it will be a long, long time before he sees cash back for his investors? Who knows.

Green has to realise that he could actually win fans over by engaging Bomber and answering any questions he has, rather than disrespecting him publicly. First and foremost Bomber is a fan - he is not a businessman, or some forum bellend with a hidden agenda, he is a Bluenose, as are his parents and kids. If Green was to think about this realise that Bombers concerns are the majority's concerns, he might get on a lot better.

  3. The man is dillussional.

The worst part is he probably does have investors, they've just chosen the worst possible mouthpiece.

May be if there was one other Rangers man who wanted to stand up and be counted they would have - but there isn't. That is the saddest thing about this whole scenario.

  4. There is a clear and distinct difference between Tax fiddling and Tax exiling. (tu)

Nearly every one in Asia who has a few quid runs cash around to avoid paying tax - it is absolutely standard practice. I am always surprised that folk are surprised by such matters.

  5. Maybe all the smart cunts dishing out comments about being an alky will go to the meeting and say the same there. Then again they might be too hungover to make the effort.

The vast majority are of such an age they never even saw him play, never mind know the type of man he is.

  6. Did you say that about Alistair Johnston when he criticised Whyte early in the takeover process?

I'm not sticking up for Brown, but I won't assume he is deluded or anything else derogatory fans care to throw at him; he is worried enough about his club and about Green to try do something about it.

I see a pattern, anyone speaks out against Rangers or their owners (whoever they are), be it fans, ex-players or the press are shot down in flames regardless of the content of the comments; many of the comments/reports have proven to be correct!

When are we going to stop blindly trusting the people in charge of our club?

Ask yourself if Bomber is really the type of person to court publicity? Is he doing this for money? What are his motives? I believe he believes what he is saying, if he has backers, they believe him too.

His ramblings worry me, I'm not ready to dismiss him as a rambling alcoholic just yet.

I thought he had been off it for about 18 months TBH.

They were all out in HK for a week in May and all the usual faces were partying it up - the only two who never had a sip were Bomber and the Goalie. AA Loyal as far as I could see.

  7. I was embarrased listening to him outside ibrox that night if I'm honest. Expect that outside Torbett towers, no Ibrox.

Greens the only man to show the money. Last I heard bommer was waiting for trap 6 at Romford for an 8 fold at ladbrokes.

Quite ironic then that none of it is his money, but he's a good guy, and Ally has said how much he respects and trusts him to run our club. <cr>

  8. Walter has said he was finished and retiring...........I wish he would keep to this and stop giving interviews..............as far as I know the players had to be offered the same terms................now lets look at their reasons they gave for leaving..............

Wanted to play in Europe, name one that has signed for a team that has qualified for Europe!

The uncertainty ..........ok re league, but could have signed then moved away...after all many stated boyhood team.

Not the same Rangers...well their ex manager shot them down re that keech.

So Walter we do have grounds to question them.

    Fair comments ED.

  9. First time ive heard of a multi million business deal being played out on twitter. Maybe Brown is a trend setter and in the future all big business deals will be done via social networking. :P

    Its the old story - no information given - he's a fanny. Updates given - he's s fool/idiot etc.

  10. He's doing his best to derail our recovery Ben, good intentions or not people are going to be frustrated at him.

Thing is Bomber does seem drunk or not really in touch with reality the way he's been going on.

He might not be in touch with the feeling on this forum, but he is fully in touch with 90% of the fans I meet in Asia, and have met since I came home last week.

May be some folk on here need to understand that others have been doing their homework outside of Glasgow and there is alot more to this than meets the eye - and that goes for Green and his boys, and Bomber.

  11. Sorry though I am regarding the whole matter, I will tell my children of how we have been betrayed by the very people who should have been offering support to the fans when their team was struggling, and how, though they helped others, they crucified us.

I very much doubt that either of my kids will ever be at a Scotland game.

  12. In the Raith Rovers statement the thing that made me laugh and sick at the same time :mutley:

"...set out the potentially positive impact of negotiating replacement contracts with other broadcasters or alternatively the much mentioned possibility of launching

    SPL TV

(which we understand could have been launched within a matter of months). "

I honestly don't know anymore if these guys are really that stupid or are taking piss?

Yeah I am sure SKY can't f***** wait for the Raith Rovers vs Livingston, the viewing figures would be staggering :000000082:

I would love us to be in DIV 1 and absolutely slaughter Rovers, that would be brilliant, this clown is just that a clown who keeps embarrassing himself :gaids:

This would seem to be in line with what I heard yesterday from a guy who has worked with Dundee Utd in business a few times. He says they are the dumbest f#ckers he has ever dealt with and have no clue what they are doing. I was quite surprised, but he re-iterrated he was serious and that it was no surprise to him how they have all voted re The Rangers. He reckons that until they are sitting counting their coppers, it will only really hit home then.

  13. Nope not for me! As you have said, we are a Scottish team, we should be playing in Scotland! Whether you buy it or not, that's reality!

Also, this whole buyin out another team?! Do you really think teams are going to accept that? Would you be happy with someone coming in and buying over Rangers, changing their name and killing off our club?

Is that not what has happened?

  14. Quick question for those who read the annual accounts, which may have been a few years ago as it stands!!

Anyone know what we get from UMBRO each year for the kits rights, or how that deal is set up? I know that we sold to JJB and so Umbro supplied the kit to them for sales, but I am hearing from an Umbro contact that it is void due to the oldco/newco carry on?

Obviously with all the rumours over the past few months I have no clue what is true and what is not - anyone got any idea?

  15. He was at a lunch with the Queen and Prince Philip in Clydebank yesterday, a guy runs over to him after the lunch who had been sat on the same table as Prince Philip and said Philip had turned to him during the lunch and asked what was happening with the Rangers.

    :uk:

    Magic!!

Thanks for sharing - I will cheer my dad up with that one!

    :crabflute:

  16. Some of the stuff on here re Bomber has been a disgrace mate, and no matter what is said regarding questions about Green, some folk back him and have paid their seasons. Thats great and well done for them for making that decision and choice.

It is also fine for people to not back Green and not make the decision to trust him. I cannot see how Bomber not trusting him makes him a "cunt" and merits a Rangers legend being told to "fuck off".

There is more to this that meets the eye, IMHO, and people who still don't trust Green at this time and don't want to commit for the whole season until they know more should not be vilified for it.

  17. I would be lost without The Rangers. They have always been a huge part of my life and have governed my thinking and attitude towards who I bank with, what I wear, who I went out with, who my friends were, how my home was decorated, what car I drove, my politics and loyalties, my treatment of others and teaching from my father re "The Rangers way" and lastly the way I have brought up my children in doing the right thing, always and continued my families beliefs.

How could anyone leave that behind? Ludicrous.

    Rangers til I die :21: :21: :21:

  18. Brown can fuck off until he provides some facts.

This is just fucking shite and completely reactionary. This has been in the pipeline since February. Why has it been allowed to get to this state before someone tries to launch something on behalf of the fans?

In the assumption that you have never led the buyout of a company I assume you will know as much as me about it - i.e. nothing.

As this is the case for Bomber as well, I think he has done rather well in getting things together thus far. To have double figure millions ready would be admirable over an 18 month period, never mind 4 or 5.

  19. Brown should have started and finished by saying "Once upon a time"/ "and they all lived happily ever after".

What an embarrassment, if he is the lead man, their consortium must be inmates for the insane.

Still on about "who owns the hoose", that means he is saying MM is a liar.

Remember to engage brain before opening mouth.

MM is Greens mouth-piece which considering he is supposedly a ticket holder like the rest of us is a bit disappointing. Anyway, I am sure everything will be all cleared up at the meeting they have agreed to, twice.
