  1. I had the privilege to witness Donald Findlay QC at a murder trial many years ago - a sight to behold. One of the most gifted in his profession that I have ever seen. He would be an asset to any club. The Blue Brazil are well lucky.

After MY trial I moved abroad....................... :sherlock:

(Fixed that for ya' - CB) :D

    Ya bassa!! :p20:

  3. I don't know BD. I think while we are at the mercy of every c--- then Green/Murray are playing it apologetically.

I reckon when it calms down we can then tell them to gtf.

I can only hope thats the case

Fingers crossed mate - we have to do some bridge building thats for sure. never a negative to take the moral high ground. Thats two apologies everyone has had, first Bomber and now MM - what else do they want FFS! :P

I see the fighting fund quiz has come back as over 70% in favour of Div 3 - that should send a message to Green we expect a GTF message to the SPL anyway!!

  4. Jet ski advice is bang on. Do not hire.

Koh Samet and Larn are good days out with great beaches.

Do not walk alone along Pattaya beach road late on at night.

    Katoey alley for mugging.

A mugging and a bumming never make a great night out!!

So some say and I believe them

Anyone can get over a hiding, no-one gets over a riding.

  5. Ho Chi Minh is where the tunnels are - have't been but supposedly quite interesting. They also have shooting ranges there. Go with a wedge and ask for the RPG range. Guns you can fire everywhere, but grenades and the like are becoming less and less common.

  6. We are booking into the Areca lodge hotel In Pattya for 5 days to start and then just going to see where we end up we might do a trip to Phuket and thought maybe 3 days in Vietnam too, not sure about Vietnam as the reviews are not brilliant, walking street in Pattya was something else and Soi 6 was about as unreal as things can get lol

I stayed at Areca last year - its on Soi Diana. Good wee pool and well placed for a wander about, clean, good internet, etc.

Vietnam you need a pre-booked visa for. I used these guys last month - vietnam-visa-service.com - good service and they can do an urgent one in 24hrs.

You need to have US dollars for the visa when you get there - don't forget or its a major headache.

  7. In Thailand you would need to be specific, just putting Rangers would mean nothing to them, as an aside im of to Thailand from the 28th of September for 18 days roll on !!!

Whereabouts are you going mate - I am always happy to sort out visiting bears with a few ales and some local "assistance".

  8. If you are going to be in Patong during your visit spend some time in Fiddys bar near Bangla road.Fiddy is an old friend of mine and a Good bluenose he has been in Thailand a few years but still as big Rangers man as ever.He is originaly from Kinning Park.

I know Fiddy well mate - last time I saw him was in Singapore airport, on his way back from Angeles in the Philippines. He was with two of his mates and they all looked like they were going to die with the bevvy. They didn't let the side down though and joined me in a few Stella!!

I put Fiddy's details down on the Phuket Bawdeep Loyal facebook page as the only true Rangers boozer in Phuket.

    WATP

  9. In true 'forum' nature I can see why you say that. But the chairman made a statement that answered the queries Bomber asked. And, Im not being pedantic, but Bomber does not act on my behalf and for him to say/think he does is totally inaccurate.

I am not 'against' Bomber per se...but I wish business was conducted professionally, i.e. not through the newspapers and by using sound bites with media.

    Good to debate...so cheers :beer1:

TBH mate I am just happy that we actually have choices rather than having a case of take it or leave it.

If Green can turn us around great, but there is more to it than business. We have the Div 1 offer, but they are going to hump us up and down, and we have the Div 3 offer, and they will hump us up and down, but at least we can never again be accused of getting off lightly or any other BS. With the majority that I have spoken to leaning towards the Div 3 option, this will be in direct opposition with what Green will want, as commercially I assume that Dic 1 will make more sense.

This is where we have conflict - naturally a Rangers man will make a different choice from a non-aligned business man.

  10. Why should the chairman of my club meet him?

Lot of respect for DF.....but doesnt change the fact....nothing to do with him.

He is meeting him on behalf of the FANS who have raised issues - not on behalf of anyone else.

And for clarification before anyone asks, Bomber has stated that he is looking to buy the club, with Ibrox and Murray park etc then to be held in trust by the supporters, thus he is also acting on our behalf, as I assume that would be welcomed by all, whether you back Green and hate Bomber or not.

  11. I have committed my cash!

... and what do you think gives brown the right to demand meetings - MM td us last week who owned what - that is good enough for me!

And thats great mate - we have all made choices on what we think is best for the club, and there will be more to make in the next few weeks I am sure.

Bomber is representing a large part of the support who do not trust Green yet, and have various questions they want answered. I am just grateful someone is acting our our behalf. If it wasn't for him then maybe the other thirty thousand odd season ticket holders that haven't paid yet, wouldn't pay at all, and then where would we be? You can never know too much, and if these meetings clear everything up and show Green to be an honest and true man, then great. If they don't, and Bomber buys us, then I will be just as happy knowing that we escaped another Whyte scene, not to mention the return of who we all know will be involved one way or another again!!

    :crabflute:

  12. Surely getting season ticket money is a priority for Green? Why postpone a meeting that would lead to an instant inflow of cash? Something very suspicious about that IMO.

I think Bomber knows something, or at least suspects something, and thats why he has been pushing hard for this.

If DF has stepped up, he can't be too happy with what he has heard either.

  13. To agree a meeting which really is of vital importance to the vast majority of fans, and then leave Donald Findlay hanging is a bit disrespectful.

What other meetings did he have today that were more important that proving to everyone that we should buy our tickets and that they have been straight with us - I would suggest none were more important.

It smacks to me of Green playing the "make them wait" game. If he has an attitude like that to DF, it seems to me that he really doesn't give a toss what any of the fans think, as DF was there on our behalf.

I wish Green luck in his sales, as no-one I know has committed any cash yet. Lets hope these more pressing meetings were worthwhile and we get the answers this week.

  14. Seemingly the SFA will reject the transfer of Whittakers registration to Norwich. Something about the oldco still holding the registration and both the new and old co have to approve the transfer. FIFA will be required to step in.

    Ouch!!

His "there is no history" quote may haunt him methinks!!

  15. The RFFF have already stated that season ticket money is safe. Why should we not believe them? or potentially believe them Findlay over them?

Because they are only allowed to tell us what Green authorises, otherwise why we wouldn't we have been told what went on in the meetings, etc recently?

  16. The alcy who sold his soul to the taigs for 20 pieces if silver!!

The alcy bully and backstabber who ruined our youth set up and brought in shite!!

    JB, this IS your life!!

Everyone has opinions and disagreements, but to have Rangers players disrespected and attacked as we have had on here in the last 10 days is disgusting.

We have all heard the negative youth team stories, but I have also heard the stories from the youth team that were positive - and those were from the players, not from the pub.

Showing my age, but two sides to every story, and the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

  17. As I said, disrespect.

I will repeat, if anyone on here can tell me that the people who historically and currently work at Ibrox and Murray Park are wrong, and why, then please do.

    Zero comments, zero support????

    Waken up.

I wish all was rosy in the garden, and we were on our way once again, but we're not.

Hopefully, the questions and pressure will shape things to our benefit, but you cannot surely be happy with the way things are?
