  1. Its a totally different game - sometimes form and reputation goes out of the window. Scotland were on a poor run before the last game at Hampden. In the end they were unlucky not to beat a star packed England side.
  2. Wouldn't doubt Robertson's enthusiasm for playing for Scotland. However, the end product that he is used to delivering to, isn't there for him within the Scottish attack. As a result he takes too many touches and is hesitant.
  3. Spot on, he will be out on loan to Hibs or Dundee by January - due to his lack of fitness.
  4. Think Austria might have pipped Scotland to the best winner spot in B. Scotland needed to get at least 4 points. In essence it was wrecked after Slovakia anyway.
  5. Scotland don't get kind draws, we lose to all sorts of ranking nations which renders any draw useless- particularly away from home. Pot 3 is always difficult to start from.
  6. May have to look at U21s, Fraser Hornby will be a call up for the March friendlies. McBurnie is a busted flush for sure.
  7. COVID ravaged throughout the group, and still top it. Embarrassing for Scotland - total throw away.
  8. Blown it totally. However, thinking ahead, remaining in League B will offer more chance of play off spot for Euro 2024 than going up against the big guns in League A. Scotland really need to find goals up front for the summer.
  9. Only themselves to blame for not winning the group, played like a friendly both games. Doesn't bode well for the Euros with such a poor attack line.
  10. Poor defending, and seem to be want to try and walk the ball into the net - should be peppering that Israel goal with more shots. Looks like they are throwing this away now.
  11. They have pushed well above their level for some time, looks like the wheels are starting to fall off them now. From a Scottish perspective Romania winning the group will remove Russia into Pot 3 (Scotland's WC draw pot) - a nasty fixture if drawn.
  12. It was, needed a win to win the group and promotion - puts them into the top pots for the WC draw. Although a draw in Czech - Israel game tonight or winning in Israel seals it.
  13. The press were sharpening their pencils for his exit if he hadn't made it through, the next day there was grudgingly congratulations - but it was against the narrative in the run up to the game. Kazakhstan winning 3 nil was the end, basically caused by players of a certain mindset withdrawing/playing well below capabilities - he never stood a chance. In fact some of his treatment in the press was disgraceful. Dragging up EBTs in the run up to the game, openly questioning his mental and physical state - disgusting.
  14. A chance to get a PO spot for WC2022 - just as big a match as Thursday.
  15. Can't see anything wrong with it, if Taverner and the SFA agree then fair play to them both. A good international record will also add value to his transfer fee if required - do you not see that?
  16. If it's permitted by UEFA - Scotland should use it, rip up the gentlemen agreement. Times have changed now.
  17. And certain bunch of players, lead by their captain - who announced his retirement as soon as McLeish got the job. They played at 50% effort at best when on the park.
  18. Can only beat what is infront of you, qualification for a major finals is being played down as "hardly an achievement" . That's RM for you
  19. Getting the thread back on track, Scotland win tommorow and they win the Nation's League group. Whatever you think about Clarke, this is some record he is racking up.
