  1. Oh touche, I am chastised by your well thought out and articulated commentary on my piece. I can only use the evidence I see in front of me on a daily basis and although you have brought no counter discussion points to this piece, instead reverted to negativity, I will forgive that slip. Should you wish to put me "straight" on my views then feel free to discuss that point in any way you see fit.

Yes you can call me nasty names, Cunt (aimed at me) is not an offensive word I will shy away from.

Saying people shouldn't be abused is negative? I'm assuming you didn't think that one through.

I'm going on what I witness also. I condone it when it happens, even when it doesn't happen to me.

  2. I've not seen many get abused for no reason tbh, folk like to come on here with an agenda and they deservedly get abuse.

Can't say I've used the word rebels but I've definitely said they're acting like taigs(Sons of Struth, UOF), and I stand by that.

Low posters backing King come on here and call us clowns bla bla and expect not to get abuse back, aye right.

If someone dishes out abuse then they can hardly complain about getting it back but that is, of course, not what I'm talking about.

I have witness nothing more than someone giving their opinion and folk telling them to fuck off, that they are a cunt or a taig(the worst one!)

  3. You need to give your vagina a wipe and stay away from the internet if the big boys words offend you.

It's not a classical music forum, man up

I can take big boy words from keyboard warriors, I've taken them a plenty on here don't worry about that.

I hate the offended bus more than the next man, however, what I don't like is people who think it's necessary to abuse fellow fans - it's piss poor.

What sort of reverse logic are we working under that the ones being abused for no real reason are the ones in the wrong.

  4. Could write a thesis on this issue and the circles will just keep going around and around.

One side will constantly have wee snipes at the board and faceless investors, usually without providing much in the way of evidence, and have words that journalists use so that they can just be "throwing out the idea" for discussion. When anyone tries to discuss these issues and request proof of these wrongdoings the discussion will inevitably lead to the person not agreeing with the OP being a Board Lover/Pro Board/Spiv Lover or some such derogatory snipe with limited evidence ever produced in the end.

On the other side we have people who wish to attempt a discussion at first with requests for facts and not conjecture or insults about the board/faceless investors. This usually goes on quite a bit until the inevitable battle begins. The inclusion of CW/CG/IA/Easdales is usually a good indication that the discussion will never really be a good one. The frustration usually comes to a tipping point and names that were so succinctly listed by Bobby Hume are then posted born out of this forum related "psychological warfare". After a while this frustration becomes so obvious with certain posters continually having the same myopic agenda that a discussion is no longer possible. This will inevitably lead to the an accusation of bullying or threatening behaviour which will be aimed at the original poster or the one who continually bangs the same drum relentlessly concerning the wrongdoings of the board/investors, allegedly.....

One such poster has even earned his nickname (from me at least) for outlandish little statements and has been known to send this poster into a semi coma like state to escape from the incessant boogy man pulling and claims without apparent evidence that seem to come from the pages of FF or the DR whenever possible. This by no means is limited to just one "side" but is non constructively countered by a certain poster with a pro club/board agenda. This is not limited to these two alone however, there are many acolytes on either side willing to dive into the fray.

To those who cry "name calling" or "bullying" I would say simply "away and dry your eyes and use the report button that the mods so handily provided for that exact use". To those with frustration I can understand I would also suggest they do not "bite people's heads off for a well argued/stated opinion that is discussed properly", if it descends once again into the loop routine as outlined above then "bite their heads off" (metaphorically of course). I am sure the Admins/Mods will look at any report received and see if there are extenuating circumstances which may have lead to the post being reported.

The temptation to dismiss someones views can be very strong, especially when a username is read before the post, but even the aforementioned coma inducing poster has some well thought out and posted views that should not instantly be dismissed.

I have tried hard to not overly be one sided in this but it is apparent that I am very Pro Club and will remain so. Any mention of people who have by their own actions attempted to destabalise our club at this time or cannot account for monies from fans without transparency will be distasteful to me and that I will not forgive (just for you Godfather).

    The End

PS Bobby, if the above little post was not good enough for your exacting standards in the use of the written language you can Go Fuck Yourself ;)

Could you not just have said:

"Anyone who says something negative about the board should be abused"? It would have saved you some time.

The problem with your novel is that it often doesn't happen the way you describe it.

  5. When these "fans" stop hoping for admin and or liquidation, stop making knock-off tops to deprive our club of money, stop celebrating the lack of activity with regards to season tickets and stop running to the rhags and the police because they're not getting their way... maybe then I'll stop calling them scum, rebels, bheasts!

I couldn't give two shits if you find it "deeply disturbing", they are not fans and they won't be treated as such!

And the problem is, you and those like you give anyone, who doesn't like the board, that label. Despite them doing none of the above.

  6. Before you were asking for admin to dive into arguments, now you're saying we should act like adults?

Since when are they 2 different things? Let me be clear:

    - People should behave like adults, and not wee neds.

    - If people still can't act like adults and insist on abusing fellow fans(regardless of their opinion) then admin should look at it.

I don't feel I should have to report something before people stop it.

  7. It's a matter of perspective.

I don't see why they should get involved when someone says 'fuck off'. If they done that then they'd need to curb swearing on the forum altogether, and that's just unmanageable.

I'm talking in perspective, I've saw it and been the victim of it.

If someone has something to say and you don't like it, it doesn't give you the right to abuse them.

  8. No they don't.

When admin 'step in' everyone slates them for censoring the forum. They also have jobs/lives away from the forum so can't burrow through every post to make sure no one crosses the line. You yourself point out that the report function is there. If something offends you, use it. If someone consistently offends you, block them.

There's a difference between stepping in to a debate and stepping in when people saying "fuck off" or "cunt" in response to a someone giving an opinion.

The forum is becoming a joke because of some people.

  9. From the record:

    Scottish Professional Football League

Revealed: Cost to SPFL of televising Rangers matches following Ibrox club's collapse sits at £725k

THE cash has been dished out as subsidies to the major broadcasters to help them cover production expenses for live broadcasts from remote and ill-equipped grounds.

THE cost of the “cashback“ deal between Scotland’s league bosses and TV companies after the Rangers collapse is currently sitting at more than £700,000.

Record Sport can reveal £250,000 has already been paid back to broadcasters – with another £250,000 set to follow this summer – for screening the Ibrox club’s rise through the bottom two tiers.

The cash has been dished out as subsidies to ESPN, BT Sport and Sky to help them cover the soaring production expenses involved in staging live broadcasts from remote and ill-equipped grounds.

And as part of a separate agreement the total payout rose by another £225,000 to a whopping £725,000 after last term’s viewing figures for the full Scottish game failed to hit projected targets.

Details of the deal struck in summer 2012 – during crisis talks involving league boss Neil Doncaster, Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell and the broadcasters – were leaked online over the weekend sparking an angry reaction from fans.

Record Sport can confirm the bumper payments were part of the £15million-a-year package negotiated with Sky and ESPN in the wake of the financial collapse at Ibrox which wiped Rangers out of the top flight.

But last night SPFL sources denied suggestions the deal was struck to keep Rangers in the media spotlight.

And Doncaster said: “The support given to Scottish football by our broadcast partners, in 2012 and since, has been fundamental to the health of our game.”

The subsidies, covering seasons 2012-13 and 2013-14, were agreed after ESPN and Sky demanded a share of 15 Rangers matches per season but were unwilling to shell out the extra cash required for live broadcasts at lower-league grounds.

ESPN were also paid the viewing figure rebate of £225k. But when their contract was taken over by BT a year ago that clause was removed – sparing the SPFL another big payout.

Doncaster is also believed to be angered by claims the TV deal was altered ahead of RangerÂ’ liquidation to stipulate it must include four Old Firm derbies a season.

Our SPFL source said: “That stipulation had been part of all the SPLÂ’s TV deals for a decade. It was inserted at the broadcasters request.

"So when Rangers collapsed the SPL was in breach of contract. The deal agreed with the broadcasters was saving the game."

  10. Hear this all the time. Thing is, who exactly labeled our football 'anti-football'? Messi? Tims? Other SPL fans?

Do you not think that Arsenal, City, Everton fans etc. maybe talk about Chelsea being anti-football?

Was originally coined by Barca after a game against....yes, Celtic ;)

    From Wikipedia:

In November 2004, Frank Rijkaard described Celtic's style of play as anti-football after FC Barcelona's Champions League match with the Glasgow side.

  11. People might subscribe to the theory that because we aren't winning 6/7 nil every week that we would struggle in the Championship but I disagree.

The better the team, the more open they'll play which will suit us better.

Yes, McCoist has said it himself but manager will say anything to get more players.

I'm not saying I am happy with the current level of performance or that I wouldn't like us to add to the squad.

  12. Yeah, pathetic comment when anyone with a brain can see that Law and Daly do exactly the opposite. Shirkers both

Pathetic comments from our fans I would say.

The player is in a no win situation with regards performances.

He's still one of the best players in the league by a country mile.

  13. Some of our fans are an embarrassment.

People seem to blame Law for making these comments.

How would you feel if your own fans were tweeting you saying you didn't deserve it (and probably much worse). Not the kind of club I want us to be.

I'm glad we have high standards but some of the shite people come out with is a joke.

  14. Lennon said: “Celtic can dominate Scottish football. I think 10 is premature but we have quality and style in the team and we are easy on the eye.

“There’s also great mental strength in the side and this doesn’t stop here. We’re looking to build on what we’ve achieved.

“This season’s been a transitional period for us but now we don’t want it to end.

“I’ve got world-class players in my team. Fraser Forster is one of the greatest goalkeepers in Celtic’s history and he’s allowed us to create a clean-sheet record.

Cannot wait to get back and beat these cants
