No one expects us to win, so it would be tremendous to do so
-
Can we move the semi to Tannadice?
We are much better away.
-
Hawd oan, Rangers score from a free kick.
-
He looked good at the start but he will get found out against better opposition.
-
Nupe
He went to Dundee United for free in the summer
QP are amateur so I think it's more complicated than just being out of contract and moved on a free.
Dundee Utd signed him directly, he was never a free agent.

Are we forgetting we had a transfer embargo?
-
For me - IF we win the cup - the SFA will make a case for us, knowing that we'll likely be unsuccessful anyway.

Probably the best summing up I've seen, hopefully clears this up for some people.
There is an extra element of uncertainty added this season due to the situation surrounding Rangers. Under UEFA’s rules, they would not appear to be eligible to compete in Europe until 2015/16 at the very earliest due to the “three-year rule” in Article 12 of the UEFA Club Licensing rules which state that “Any alteration to the clubÂ’s legal form or company structure (including, for example, changing its headquarters, name or club colours, or transferring stakeholdings between different clubs) during this period in order to facilitate its qualification on sporting merit and/or its receipt of a licence to the detriment of the integrity of a competition is deemed as an interruption of membership or contractual relationship (if any) within the meaning of this provision.”.This rule is not absolutely clear cut, and it is possible that the SFA could support an application from Rangers (as the FAI did for Derry City in similar circumstances in 2012), but the precedent of Derry suggests that any appeal would be unsuccessful. It therefore seems unlikely (though not impossible) that Rangers would be allowed to compete in Europe next season should they win the Scottish Cup.

Yep. Getting quite bored of it but hard to switch off from it.

Fuck me mate, is this £20m the new 28%?
Buying a seat on the board of the old company, does not mean he can publicly damage the club by driving share prices down. He's attacked almost every board member since admin, he's promised to invest but owns 0 shares. He's claiming every month that next month we'll be in administration (this is the most bheast like thing imaginable).
Trying to force the board into action isn't damaging the club IMO.
I haven't heard anything positive come out of Ibrox since this 120 review started (I had thought the fans survey was but I'm more than sceptical about that now).
-
I said a large percentage, not a majority.
It's clear that he will put money directly into the club, providing he trusts the people who are controlling it.
I cannot understand why you would think a multi millionaire would waste his time purposely damaging the club?
He's already put £20m in, does that not register with anyone?
-
The front men have changed, the back seat financiers have not. Transparency is only achievable if the money men are happy for it to happen!
Some sense
-
I would have preferred to see "How many shares do you have to speak about Rangers?" but that would have been a wee bit petty.
Completely my style.
He wants a large percentage, or is it all just a lie and really he wants to damage the club?

Something that really hit home to me in this statement was this:
"If we cut our costs to suit our present income we will remain a small club and Celtic will shoot through 10 in a row - and beyond - while we slug it out for the minor places. That is not the Rangers that I grew up with and not the Rangers that we should be passing down to our children and grandchildren."
Obviously this is exaggerated, however, it's absolutely unthinkable that were are stuck behind those bastards for that long.
-
Some people get away with absolute murder on here.
No problem whatsoever with differing opinions but when people resort to calling fellow fans scum etc, it's a joke.
Normally people resort to it when they've got nothing to support their argument too.
-
Imagine my surprise that the same people are showing more blind loyalty to the board.
He is absolutely spot on with some of his comments here. He wants answers from the board.
I have said it before I am willing to allow allow the current board the 120 day period to sort the club out but it's becoming apparent that they are holding off for ST money.
And then what? Still too many unanswered questions here and we need to wise up.
He's clearly saying he will put millions in, but isn't going to hand it to guys who he doesn't trust.

Too pro McCoist for me, sorry.
2011/12
League - Appeared to have thrown it away after loss to Celtic in January (before Admin) but still hard to judge based on the fact he couldn't strengthen in Jan. Still finished 2nd.
Europe - Out at the first attempt in CL and EL qualifiers, no excuses, that's piss poor.
Scottish Cup - Out to Dundee Utd at home, was the way we lost rather than the loss itself.
League Cup - Out to Falkirk away - not good enough.
2012/13
League - Threw a team together and achieved the bare minimum, the 3rd Division title.
Scottish Cup - Out to Dundee Utd away, with the team we had at the time, that's not a disaster.
League Cup
Best performance of the season beating top of the league Motherwell, but out on our arse to ICT, see above.
Ramsdens Cup
Poor in defeat to QOS however their late equaliser should never have stood so you could allow some leigh way there.
2013/14
League - Bare minimum again, cruised the league. Some decent performances at the start of the season but not great.
Scottish Cup - Still in it, no scum to contend with, would be a fantastic achievement to win it.
League Cup - out away to Forfar, last seasons team but we should still have won.
Ramdens Cup - into the final, must win v Raith or will be another failure.
Poor cup and European results and poor league performances however he should be given next season to get promotion and be allowed a crack in the Premiership.
-
Better to judge us when it actually matters now.
For all I care, we could play shite the rest of the league season but:
- Beat Albion Rovers
- Beat Raith Rovers
- Win SC semi
- Win SC final
For me, the performances haven't been good enough by any stretch and I'm not convinced that Ally should be our long term manager but i would suggest as long as we see progress next season, he should be allowed a chance to manage us in the premiership.
-
Not for me thanks.
-
I think it's obvious that Dave King doesn't want to hand a current shareholder his money. He wants it to go to the club. Surely we can agree with that?
I think what people are saying is correct.
Get a scouting team in place.
Share issue in around 12 months.
-
Yes.
(telling lies is allowed. you lot have been doing it for the last year)
Can you define Rebel please, because im fckd if stating facts and hoping for a clear and concise future for our club is that, well i stand accused.
Seems to get banded about willy nilly on this site
It does indeed.
If you don't agree with something the current or previous board has done, you are branded a rebel by some. It's school playground stuff really.

Ally McCoist
Salary £800,000 (though cut to 1/2 million after being found out by the fans)
Severance - 1 year rolling contract £500,000 eventually
Bonus unknown
Hours worked per day - 3-4
Days worked per week - 5
I think considering Charles Green saved this club, we got his services quite cheap considering what others cost.
You've not made up those figures to suit yourself of course have you? You've got the clocking cards of Mr C Green and Mr A McCoist, I presume.
-
did i imagine the penny shares Ally goy ( which is one of the things that CG gets beaten with all the time.)
and bonuses and wages were set by the renumeration comittee chaired by none other than malcolm murray.
More deflection.
Ally's salary and shares were OTT, I can accept that, he didn't decide on it though, he was offered it.
So Malcolm Murray is every bit as much to blame - assuming he wasn't used by the other members.
-
So Ally milking penny shares and 750k in wages is fine cause he is a club legend.
but green is a capatilist bastard for taking roughly thr same as him.
alrighty then.
Why are you so keen to deflect away from these guys who lined their own pockets?
Ally wasn't part of a consortium who decided the salaries.
Ally/his agent had to negotiate his salary with Martin Bain - so blame Bain if Ally's salary is too high.

Good statement, and something I'm sure we are all behind.
It's obvious what Dundee Utd and their fans are trying to do, we should not let them say things like that unchallenged.
Not sure why people are trying to bring the boardroom chat into this.
