and as far as "Sir" Walter goes, who cares he dominated the Scottish scene anyone could of at the time with the money from our chairman, except from 92/93 and the most horrible boring play to get us to the UEFA final, his European record was just about worse than any team in Europe if not the worst for the amount of Champions League games we played, go no idea why some of you fans hate on Boyd so much I bet you're the first to cheer when he scores, big games ? from memory McCoist scored in 1 Champions League game in a dead rubber against Grasshoppers, and I think most of his European goals were against lesser opposition with the exception of Steau and Leeds United

and personally I think McCoist was scared his record was going to go, so Boyd spent a lot of time on the bench Hateley - McCoist Hateley - Johnstone McCoist - Durie Negri - Did it himself Wallace - Johansson Wallace - Dodds Flo - Arveladze Boyd - Miller Miller - Jelavic most of these partnerships tallied 35-50 goals a season, you need striking partner and I am 100% positive Boyd would of scored for fun in Europe if had the service and actually got on the park

he didn't like Boyd in big games coz he played 1 striker, correct me if I am wrong but the aim of the game is to score and that's what Boyd does, as I said earlier if McCoist got a game due to talent he would never off played

I think Daly and Boyd might work, could be similar to maybe Hateley and McCoist or Hateley and Johnstone, I'd probably let Miller just float around from what I seen against Hearts he would be more useful chasing the ball and winning possession, and Clark would be used as a sub and an obvious future replacement for the strikers job.

I am also a fan off Mohsni, True Blue, something seems extra wrong with him at the moment though

the funny thing is all this debate about strikers, we all know McCoist is going to play one up front and that will be Daly when he is fit and Boyd and Clark will sit on the bench

and as far as Europe goes, we had a better team than the likes of Kaunas, Unirea, Sparta Praha, Goteborg, Grasshoppers, Steau (95/96 not 87/88), Auxerre, but we were embarrassed in all those games

comparing? we had a full team off internationals playing against much weaker teams, so in actual fact there is not that huge a difference, I am talking about Scottish games there for the majority

Andy Goram made 2 massive howlers at the start of his career, everybody wanted him arsed, I have seen Gough make mistakes many a time, Gary Stevens cost us a treble, I have watched Unirea, Sevilla, Juventus, Ajax and more absolutely destroy our defence (made up off full internationals) point is I think too many supporters criticise for the sake of criticising
