From the first handful of games last season i thought he looked a real player, whether it was the McCoist effect, his ego in thinking he didnt have to try as we romped the division or the pressure of playing for us that caused his demise remains to be seen. My own opinion is the McCoist effect, in his early games there were runs beyond the front man, looking to take boys on etc, we see none of that now, i cant help thinking McCoist wants him to be more disciplined and not take gambles in the final 1/3 which takes away from some of the guys ability. However, his comments in the media have been disappointing and smack of another player who thinks he's made it, Ian Black, Kyle Hutton to name a few
