As i said earlier on, possibly on another thread, as long as we have managers coming out with pish like "its ok to kick him because he is a young english player and my player is scottish"

Then this shit will go on and on.

Was yet another night of pish tactics by the opposition and some of the worst refereeing I've seen. Fucking assaults carried out on Oduwa that night.

    Not sure myself tbh.

We thought he had just been booked but it could have been someone else.

It does ruin the game as a spectacle but this shit goes on everywhere, Real Madrid do it to barcelona, pepe and ramos kick fuck out of the barca front 3.

Yes unfortunately it seems to be part and parcel of the game now. You can only hope that referees deal with it but alas the inconsistency in that dept is there for all to see on a weekly basis.

I thought that the perpetrator on saturday had only just been booked shortly before and collum shat it.

See other posters mentioning Messi's comments about anti-football?

Well his barcelona team faced it again at the weekend and couldn't break down a stubborn 9 man malaga, bet the budget was huge between them 2 teams aswell but this only goes to show that that football is played on grass and not paper.

Didn't think he had been booked but could be wrong.Either way highlights the inconsistency in our game and just adds to the list of things that are wrong and slowly but surely are driving more and more away from game in a whole. Both supporters and possible major investors.

Messi I believe was that player Sammy ..... even he found our tactics too much  ..... my point being that even the best can be frustrated by this type of tactic as much as all of us, who now have to watch it being played out against us not only at Ibrox (which is understandable ..... just) but now also at the oppositions' home grounds ....... :disappointment:

Oh I remember that man saying it. It is pish to watch but as I said in earlier post it's nothing new.Would be a change for all involved in a match did  actually try and serve some kind of entertainment instead of this shit. Is it any wonder that the whole of Scottish football struggles for serious sponsorship, investment and crowd attendances when punters are asked to pay good money to watch this crap.Just the way it is I suppose and can't see it changing anytime soon,so the decline will continue.

If teams want to come and sit in fair enough. What really boils my piss is when they go a goal down they still won't try and win the game or even try for a draw.

Most come hoping for a draw of any kind, perhaps even sneak a win that is why it is so vital that when we get a chance they have to be put away. How many games do you see opposition players wasting time at throw ins goal kicks etc with ten minutes on the clock. It's pathetic but unfortunately it's what's served as entertainment by some It's what a certain player called ( anti football ) if memory serves me right.

Oh god. Are you one of these "he's one of us" so can do no wrong? I actually like Halliday and haven't really criticised him before because frankly, I don't think he's really deserved it up until now. He's been a somewhat limited but useful player.

On Saturday, he was utterly shocking. By far our worst player. That's not picking on him, that's being realistic. He spent too much time arguing with the ref and trying to direct his teammates. Good enough squad player and can fill a couple of positions. Nowhere near good enough to be our deep lying centre midfielder on a consistent basis. He is physically weak.

Bit more core work and a bit less badge kissing might serve him well...

No I am not one of those " hes one of us " " so can do no wrong "  but I will tell you we could do with a few more being like us as you put it, or is that such a crime on here for guys who are one of us playing for the team he supports. You commented on  him in a subject which had nothing to do with him,you pointed out five or six failings with him,you then try and say you were not picking on him so what are you " one of those" who wants to blame Halliday for everything because he supports and plays for us. He has been no better than the rest but certainly no worse but you bring him up as if he was the only player on Saturday who was awfull as you put it.As I say if you want to have a go at anyone that's up to you, this place is all about opinions but have a go at everyone who has been off form not just one guy who seems to be the scapegoat of so many, what all because " hes one of us " pathetic that a guy should have that brought up as if it was some kind of fault.

I'm not picking on him. In the system we play the deep lying midfielder is one of, if not the, most important player in the team. Halliday is not powerful enough physically and doesn't quite have the quality to okay that position.

Decent player and good to have in the squad but he's just not good enough to be the main man at CM.

For someone who is not picking on him why even bring him up in a topic about HF and to then say that his performance was awful, as bad as you have seen from a Rangers midfielder since Law and Black, to say he was to busy directing traffic and arguing, and that he rarely made a forward pass but you claim you are not picking on him.Well whatever. Its all about opinions. If you want to criticise then do it fairly and don't just single out the usual scapegoat with some on here.

I may be wide of the mark here, but I think Lee Wallace's play has a lot to do with McKay's dip in form.

Could explain a lot as our left side has been pretty poor.

Like others have said IMO as well there is two games we deserved to drop points all season. Killie and cellic.

Hamilton- On the ascendancy and bang Waggys hamstring goes with no-one near him. Takes the sting right out the game.

County at home- Really was one of those days. Did we not round the keeper twice and both were cleared off the line?

Aberdeen- Dodgy decision as usual, not forgetting the fact we were the much better team for 80 minutes of the game.

St Johnstone- Much the same as County. Desperately unlucky to not win the game

Ross County away- Should have been out of sight by half time. Poor finishing cost us here but it happens! Sometimes strikers have off days.

I really do believe we can come out of these 8 games with at the very least 18 points. I'd hope for 20 but 18 would be a really good return and would hopefully see the board give a little in January for us to push on to May. Rangers have always been strong finishers in the top flight seasons gone by and have had good winter results as well, hopefully this is the case again.

This has been our problem all season. The scum game apart no one is exactly giving us a going over but we are not taking the chances. I and others have said it time and time again you will get chances in every game but at this level which isn't great those few chances have to be taken. Poor finishing as you put it has cost us countless points this season and will continue to do so unless the management and players start getting the finger out.

Awful performance from him yesterday. As bad as I've seen from a Rangers centre midfielder since Black and Law were playing there.

Too busy trying to direct traffic and argue with everyone. Rarely made a forward pass because he was so slow to collect the ball and turn that everything was closed off and he had to go backwards.

Needs to focus on his own game. He's barely good enough to be a Rangers player, he can't afford to be distracted.

Thought Halliday made a couple of slip ups yesterday but he wasn't the only one.Tavs passing on a couple of occasions was below his best and as far as AH not passing the ball forward our whole left side Wallace and Miller hardly pass the ball forward but for some strange reason this goes unnoticed by some. As far as arguing goes well thank fuck someone has a set to say what needs to be said cause our captain sure as hell doesn't. To much calm down from Wallace and not enough leadership and aggression two qualities that any Rangers captain has to have.

    Wouldn't start Miller myself.

Midfield three at the moment picks itself - Halliday, Holt and Windass.

Nobody of the front three has delivered enough and it's the reason we have struggled to score often this season. I'd start Forrester in the front three, none of MOH, Garner, Waghorn, Miller, Dodoo and McKay have shown enough. It's arguably our weakest area this season, which says a lot considering the defence has been pish.

Yes totally agree. Said on different thread its goals we need and all of our front line have been poor.

  12. 14 minutes ago, Rangers_no1 said:

Forrester has started against Dundee, Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen and St Johnstone in the league. Sub against Dundee, Hamilton, Partick and the scum. 9 appearances. Started against Motherwell in the league cup as well.

McKay has only started 4 more league games than Forrester. Also the longest run McKay has went with consecutive starts is 5 matches, twice this season, first included four league cup games and the opener against Hamilton.

Forrester started 4 games on the trot in August against Peterhead in the cup then three league matches in a row against Dundee, Motherwell and Kilmarnock.

Harry has been given a chance this season and not delivered enough.

Given those stats how does Kenny Miller play week in week out and how is he deemed to have delivered enough.Forrester has scored as many goals as both Miller and Garner in the league but as you have pointed out has only appeared in 9 league games compared to Millers 13 in the league. If they need to drop anyone out of the front line surely Miller should be the man dropped. The stats don't lie as you have pointed out. 3 goals for Kenny in over 800 minutes of league play is not good enough, not good enough for any Rangers forward.Im pretty sure if other forwards had given us the same goals per minutes played return there would be plenty wanting that player dropped and rightly so.Miller is no different from anyone else.

Well, language like " MW is a fraud" and "is giving our Club aids" and regular topics designed to berate the manager points to an unhealthy obsession.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. No need to spend every waking hour berating a manager a third of the way into the season though.

I think the board will give MW this season to get us into Europe. He deserves that opportunity imo.

Totally agree mate but he is not alone on here. Some were just waiting to have a go at the manager and players from the first game till now.Yes we can all be critical of things at times, the manager, tactics, players but some go on and on and on. They not only express their opinion but go over the same pish on a daily basis. Some mates I go to the matches with and one or two guys who sit round about us used to be on here but they left as just about every one of them said they were fed up with the pish that gets posted on here by so called supporters.I can fully understand why.

You are an obsessed bore. We are only one point behind Aberdeen in second place.

Probably raging inside that we won yesterday because it doesn't feed you ammo for your never ending rant.

I'd much rather see you gone than MW. At least he knows how to conduct himself in public.

This forum and all social media outlets are about opinions which is fair enough. Some though are not expressing opinions they are running their own agendas. Some and it's obvious to see have nothing but dislike for what it seems is everything to do with the club. From the board,to the manager to certain players being called everything under the sun by so called " supporters" on a daily basis regardless of how that individual plays. If you want to express your opinion like GWWB there's not much can be done but him and several others go over and over the same old pish. This is not expressing opinions this is running their own spiteful agendas against everything to do with the great old club, something I find bizarre to say the least from so called " Rangers supporters".

That was down to Smith those games - sometimes he'd get found out in Europe against some utter shite but you honestly can't tell me that spending money wisely doesn't improve our chances of getting into Europe and some success?

Do you think we should just keep the standard of Holt, Halliday, McKay, Kieran, Dodoo, Wilson, Miller, O'Halloran and just hope it comes good in the end ?

Sometimes he'd get found out in Europe just sometimes.Did he or Advocaat spend money wisely and bring us any success in Europe? what do you mean by success.Alex McCleish got us further in the CL with a budget far inferior to both Smith and Advocaat is that what you mean by success. Prey tell me and everyone else where this money is going to come from to maybe win the league, and maybe qualify for CL. Please try and be realistic and original as to where this 10,15,20 million is going to come from. I don't see a que of multi millionaires or global corporations just tripping over themselves to invest in Rangers and the back water of European football.Do tell us all where/who are willing to invest these amounts to MAYBE see some kind of return.
