  1. Miller should be taking corners from now, much better delivery
  2. What is it with our full backs having zero awareness of who is behind them??
  3. Good tempo so far, the key is scoring several times when you have the play
  4. Yeah if you use your mhank powers to only look at wikipedia stats because you aren't a fan and don't have a fucking clue about the player in question.
  5. Barton did and look what happened to him. I feel Miller is the only player in the squad who might feel this way but again looks like he doesn't want to speak up about it. It's a sorry state of affairs.
  6. Lacks pace but if you can read the game then it might not be bad at all. Can't be any worse than Halliday.
  7. You'd think being a bear that you'd feel like you were the dogs balls and just dominate every game like a man possessed........I'd die to play professionally for the team I love.
  8. Reckon Hyndman could play in a deep lying playmaker role, if you want a true DM we don't have any (funny that Crooks could have taken that role now but he's off)
  9. Sounds like we could do with Mourinho giving Mark a call..... Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says certain members of his squad need to realise the importance of winning. United are unbeaten in 14 Premier League games but have drawn their past three and been sixth in the table after each round of matches since 6 November. "Playing to win, having the responsibility to win, and coping with the pressure of winning is something that has to belong to your natural habitat," said Mourinho. "For some guys, it doesn't." Ladies and gentleman of the jury, exhibit A and B
  10. This should have been done in 2012, not when we are in the top flight needing to claw back against the unwashed. Now its the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, no matter how hard you try to get there you never will.
  11. Its the 3 times for us that throws me because Stensaas was more, Ostenstad was more I'm sure, Berg was more
  12. I guess your skills of detecting sarcasm are as good as Kiernan's defending..........sorry that was too far
  13. Ok, here's another......Who am I? Despite being with Rangers for 2 years I never played for them but I have played for Dundee. I have played in the Champions League group stages alongside Maciej Zurawski () I have been capped 36 times for my country and my 3 international goals all came in the same match. I am still playing today.
  14. The only game I can see where he was dropped to the bench was the home game against Partick. He really is MWs blue eyed boy
  15. Thinking outside the box, go with an attacking formation come out of the traps flying, get a couple of goals then replace McKay with Wallace and Forrester with Hodson and go 5-3-2: ps put Kiernan in as he at least has some pace as I think Senderos and Hill would just be too slow without actual full backs
  16. I think there is a better chance of Kiernan being dropped as we don't have a natural replacement for Halliday in DM (even though he isn't a DM).
  17. I can see Wilson coming in for Kiernan but Halliday will start I expect the team to be:
  18. When the defence and midfield in front of him offer him next to no support I doubt Goram would do much better (ok maybe thats stretching it a bit too far)
  19. So this Q&A piece that came out is a real eye opener as far as the manager's mentality is concerned. Last season we know that he wouldn't reveal the targets for that season in any great detail but later in the season said the goal was to not only win the league but to "smash it" and that had been shared with the squad at the start of the season. Putting these two morsels of information together paints the picture that we aimed to be second this year i.e. "Highly competitive" in the league. So lets say for arguments sake this was the goal what kind of message does that send to the players? When we take on the Mhanks home or away, "It's ok if we lose boys, we only want to finish second". Therein lies the problem, the manager's views and therefore the players' views are out of alignment with the support. Sure it was optimistic (putting it lightly) to expect to win the league this year but that should have been and should always be the goal of any Rangers manager or player regardless of unprecedented circumstances. If you don't achieve it then provided everyone was doing their absolute best, leaving nothing of themselves on the pitch at the final whistle then there is tolerance amongst the support. We don't accept it because our place is at the top but we can tolerate it provided we know that the management and players also don't accept it and will strive to improve and win it the next time. This is what is missing here. The manager simply does not get it and therefore neither do his players. So we lose to Hearts twice in a season but hey its ok because we beat Dundee and Inverness away. Rubbish. When you play teams around you if you want to be better than them you have to beat them or at the very least not be beaten, otherwise you are relying on other teams to do what you cannot and this is just not our way. My biggest fear is actually finishing second whether it be by 1 point or 10 points (which apparently makes no difference to our manager) as it will probably mean Warburton remains in charge with this apathetic stance towards the battle for power in scottish football. The sheer lack of ambition or fight in the manager is quite frankly appalling. As I alluded to earlier this may not be realistic but you have to aim high and push yourselves otherwise the type of results and performances we have put in are described as "bad days at the office" as opposed to completely unacceptable in every sense. The manager was right with one thing. The road to the top is going to be hard and it will take time but accepting second best and shrugging your shoulders and the continued "speed bumps" and individual errors is putting us on the fast track to mediocrity.
