  1. You are bringing a religious slant to what is basically work ethic. As an example of such you have given a basque (non protestant)team's ethic.

No, Scottish Presbyterianism is a ethnic & cultural group in it's own right, with a set of social and integral values that this club was built on.

I myself don't believe in Jesus Christ or any kind of personal god, yet I was raised on good old Protestant values and pride myself on my protestant work ethic instilled in me by my father and his father before. That still means something to some of us.

  2. What's religion got do with it?

Christ this place is just an uncultured troll pit. Are there any posters on here over the age of 21 with at least half a fuckin brain?

The historic, world famous "protestant work ethic" refers to a set of people and their values. You call yourself a Rangers fan. Smh.

  3. Religious beliefs have fuck all to do with work ethics. I work with some astonishingly lazy proddies and some very hard working Catholics and I know of at least 1 very generous jew.

I have a very strong work ethic and it's down to wanting to do the very best I can. You need to get away from this stupid backwards idea that religion is in some way important to everyone these days.

  4. on Talksport earlier they were saying that Parma are basically folded and if they don't come up with a million euros in the next couple of weeks they wont be able to apply for Serie D

It's disgusting to see what money has done to such respected community institions.

1 million euros. Saves an entire football club or gets you 3 & a half weeks of services from fuckin Wayne Rooney.

  5. Fuck all to do with a protestant work ethic.

Its all about a manager getting players fit to give themselves the capacity to play the way he wants them to for 90 mins.

Its modern football the world over.

I disagree, culture can certainly rub off on playing style. For the last few years i've envied Athletic Bilbao, they use only players of Basque blood and have a playing ethos around playing for one's pride, non stop effort, amazing work ethic and pressing. As a result they've overachieved considering the technical footballing quality of their players.

  6. I don't want to get ahead of myself but if this guy comes good on quotes such as:

"If Murray Park has been regarded as something of a holiday camp over the last four years and it has by many then some of the regulars there are in for a surprise when they clock back in on Saturday."

    &

"Theres nothing better than coming in, doing some work, feeling youve made some progress then going home and seeing your family, have a meal and rest in your own bed."

Then the future is exciting. Watching these wasters under the fat spiv for the last 4 years has left me longing for something i may have taken for granted in my Rangers supporting life: Heart, desire & that world famous Protestant work ethic.

  7. I don't want Allan. Not overly impressed and comes with his baggage. Ruined someone's life wrecklessly driving his flash car, is forking out £6m in compensation to his victim. Ian Black was bad enough, really don't want this prick in a Rangers jersey or our fans forking out for his crimes.

  8. Nothing puts me off my food buddy. (tu)

Seriously though, get yerself to a brothel, they'll soon make a man out of you. Try and not stalk the poor lassie after it though. She only loves you for the 10 seconds you pay her for.

Thanks for the advice but like i said i'll just stick to donkey punching yer da.

  9. Anyone see his interview after ?

    He doesn't give a fuck

    Talking about earning money.

That's why boxing is a joke at times due to guys like him.

Only interested in how much money he's getting rather than the actual sport itself.

He missed the post fight press conference to go party and even put up pics on twitter.

Most boxers would go into hiding for a wk after losing after giving it all mouth for the build up

He does, he's realising he's shit. Reminded me of a guy who's burd left him for another guy. Feels like greetin but puts on a front and heads to a strip joint. Bet he cried himself to sleep last night.

In other news touch of class from Andre Ward who collected $37,000 from Paul Smiths failure to make weight, but gave it back to him after the fight.

  10. Quite a few seem to think we'll only sign 5-6 players but I'd be pretty worried if that was the case. The first team squad we have now only has 14 players in it and that includes Murdoch, Crawford, Aird, Walsh & Gallagher and all of them not long long promoted to the first team squad so that'd give us a squad of 19-20 players. I don't think there's much more to be brought up from the youths that'd fill me with confidence so basically we'd have a team, 6 subs and only two or three left over, couple of injuries and we're struggling to fill the bench. There's no real competition there so with effectively 5 youths already in the squad he'd basically have to bring up more youths whether they were properly ready or not, that'd be fine in the bottom division and that's clearly what we should have done then but for this division ..... I don't see that cutting it.

It's a dangerous game as well leaving it till pre-season starts to assess what we have and chase from there, he should have enough of an idea now for where gaps are with a shape he wants to play. Waiting doesn't give him long to work out what else we need, pursue and sign them and get them to gel with the other players. We've some big games early on, no surprises there, and we don't want to be on the back foot right from the start. It's all well and good taking in the U21 tournament but I don't think that's a scouting mission for right now so I'd rather see him here working on signings personally. Taking Wilson as an example since going by paper talk that seems to be stalling a bit, wouldn't it be more likely to push through quickly if it was the manager himself chasing you, letting you know how much he wanted you, there's a lot to be said for the personal touch in recruiting. How many times do you read about players signing and saying they were convinced to sign by the managers passion for the future?

I'm not panicking yet but I do think we need to get the finger out.

Good post. The points i was trying to make in the op tbh. Worryingly we don't even seem to be rumoured to be signing too make first team level guys.

  11. Will do. (tu)

In the meantime, can I suggest a whore. (tu)

Nah i'm gonna keep on destroying your da's anus until the flesh blisters. Sorry for the details but you asked just try not to think about when you eat your dinner tonight. Although now i've said that, you inevitably will.

  12. I know it's early days but we need a new song for the man in the dugout. Not alot to go on so creativity is needed but luckily that's my strong point (creativity).

To the tune of Posh Spice us a Slapper...

    Ooooohhhh Warbo's takin Rangers

to the top where we belong

    Ronnie Delia is a pervert

he strips down to his thong ?
