  1. Did the SPL know about their tax avoidance scheme?

And how about their ability to pay wages for Craig Bellamy, Roy Keane and Robbie Keane? Or what about fiddling attendances? Cheap land deals? The list is fucking endless. They need to be taken to task, enough of this nicey nicey shit!!
  2. The court of public opinion has no jurisdiction on this issue. The SPL independent commission gave their verdict which, as per the SPL edict, was to be decisive no matter what the outcome of any HMRC appeal. Our disagreement over some claimed unpaid tax had no bearing on the results on the park. The players were all correctly registered at the time therefore they were eligible to play in the games. If we were subsequently to have been found not to have deducted sufficient tax then that is nobody's business but ours and the tax man. There were no rules governing such a dispute.

Exactly!! Could not have said this better myself! This should be tweeted to Clyde ssb, daily rebel and the bbc!
  3. BBC sport leading with the "might not have signed" bit of course, then later on touching in the context. Saw that coming a mile away, what's the betting English et al use that too.

Hence why I started a thread saying we should ban the cunts!! Any negative way to twist or headline it and they take it. BAN THE BBC!!
  4. Here's the facts as I see it.

The SFA investigated Rangers use of EBTs ('side letters') to see if they had broken any rules as they existed when the practice took place. Rangers made no attempt to hide the use of EBTs but, still, the SFA wanted a legal view on whether a) the side letters not being part of any filed paperwork to the SFA meant a rules breach and b) if so, were the players registrations incomplete. The investigation made no attempt at looking at the legality of EBTs from a taxation standpoint as there were no rules at that time covering the question of tax avoidance. As this was the case, the SFA could move forward with their investigation BEFORE the 'big tax case' decision was made in the courts. The result of the 'side letter' investigation was that Rangers were guilty of administrative failures but those failures did not provide any sporting advantage.

Now that we have another change in direction of the 'big tax case' - someone please tell me which rules existing at the time of practice have been breached? Surely, if there were rules on the subject of tax avoidance at that time, the SFA investigation on 'side letters' should not have taken place BEFORE the court judgement(s).

Great post mate, also very valid point at the end.??
  5. Very true.

One week they lecture on the evils of sectarian hatred within the rivalry.

The next, they're pouring paraffin on the flames of the bitterness in that very rivalry.

On the radio, they can manage that pincer movement on the minds of the gullible in mere minutes, if not seconds.

Hell, Spiers can do it in the same paragraph, with his rather sectarian form of anti-sectarianism.

I suppose when someone gets assaulted and stabbed, that's another victory for them, as they can write about that and get back to condemning the evils they fuel.

    Win, win, they must feel.

    well said!!
  6. These cunts n the media are dying every day newspaper sales down audiences down they will scream and shout and cling onto any negative news to keep them in a job and paying their mortgage.

Time for all supporters clubs to join together get outside ibrox on match day even ppl who just buy a ticket or have a season book and demand all media newspapers and journalists be banned from ibrox until they stop their serialisation of our club.

I'm sure some the top men from the supporters clubs buses that are run could fix it make sure murray knows fans are the ones in charge and he better sort it.

As I says still tell ppl to buy their tickets but don't go into the ground buy fucked all from hamburgerstands outside ground and see what happens then even if it's for the next few home games the lads are good enough to win on the park without us cheering them on for a while

I actually agree with this, money goes to the club but sends out a clear message!!
  7. It should be followed up by another statement explaining that if any courageous journslists try to keep dragging our name through the mud over this, then they are to be banned along with their association from the club immediately!

  8. "You're no a real Rangers fan, mate." OK

"Recent reports show that it was 1872." Recent. Almost like the last 3-4 years like I said? Almost like the year got confirmed when Gary Ralston done his research for his book The Gallant Pioneers? Seems we agree then.

I'm sure there's already a thread on it but when I was growing up it was widely believed we were formed in 1873. Older bears will confirm this. (tu)

yep!! Check out my name!! I've already been accused of being a taig and had the shifties coz I say 1873 in my username lol.
