  1. Brilliant, will stick it on for a listen ??
  2. Is it still on air to listen or has it been and gone?
  3. This has probably been posted before but this just shows the intelligence they possess. ?
  4. Good stuff mate I'll check it out next time I'm down visiting my mum ?
  5. Take it the pubs you listed above are bear friendly then? Just in case I find myself in Corby again and we're playing. Thought you had a cracking wee club in Corby when I visited, it's a shame.
  6. No problem mate ? Thought it was my fault, sometimes what you are saying in your head doesn't come across the same when written.
  7. Is it the way I've written this or are people not reading it correct?
  8. Haha brilliant, never heard that one before ?
  9. Good stuff mate must be some truth in it then? What a way to get the team fired up would have loved to be in that dressing room. Don't think it would get much of a reaction from our current squad, but I hope the senior players are drumming it in to the less experienced ones what this all means on Sunday.
  10. Thanks mate was starting to fear this was going to turn in to a roasting for me.
  11. Well I didn't name the manger but we all know who the manger was at the time I'm just merely telling it the way he told it. I'm not happy to "say" anyone said it for sure as I wasn't there.
  12. Not sure if this is common knowledge or if it's even a true story. But anyway a few years back I took my grandfather to one of the Ibrox tours, it was taken by an ex player I won't say who because of the story that follows which he told only on the basis that no one recorded him. So we're sitting in the Rangers dressing room and he says right I'm going to give you the team talk from the Old Firm game in August 1988. People started getting phones out and he said put your phones away I don't want this recorded this is between us. So it's the 27th of August 1988 at Ibrox. Exactly one week prior was the Ballygaweley bus bombing in which 8 British soilders died. So apparently the manger stood up and pointed to the picture of the Queen and said see that we represent Queen and country. Then pointed in the direction of the away team dressing room see them they represent the IRA. Get out there and get one up on them. He said our players were literally kicking the door down to get at them and we won 5-1 that day. Anyway just wanted to share it in the build up to Sunday. It got my hackles up when he told it and still dose everytime I tell it.
  13. This is a shame my mum lives 10 miles away from Corby. Remember going to the club to watch a European game one night a few years back whilst down visiting. Fantastic wee club lots of memorabilia and a big photo of the Queen in a Rangers top. Told the old man behind the bar I was from Stranraer and turned out he was to, started buying me drinks and it turned in to a big sash bash. A few of the members sorted me out a taxi and got me home after it as I'm not familiar with the area. Fantastic night!
  14. The most exciting Rangers player I've seen in my lifetime and my boyhood hero.
