Seems a shame that the police don't often release the full details of what they know at times like these (for whatever reason) which in my opinion would allow a better focus on what has happened and the best way to a solution. (Of course it may be the police have no clue either. )
I think more relevant detail from the police would help focus a potential search or rescue at an early stage, regardless of what has happened, and I am sure there would be no shortage of volunteers.
Thoughts with his family and friends who are probably going through a nightmare at this stage.
Genuinely hoping he has just had an out of character moment and turns up safe and well.
