A close relative of his tried to justify the decision by stating that he was getting four times the wages that he would have got with us, so perhaps, it was a case of choice...
There's no chance he was getting 4 times what we were offering. Hibs didn't even accept an offer from us so we wouldn't have offered him anything.

You are right to say that it wasn't a straight choice - that's fair enough. However, I think it was clear that he could have come to Ibrox if he had been prepared to wait a few months, and lots of other players in that kind of position simply grit their teeth and get on with things at their current club until their preferred move takes place. Allan chose not to do that.
Scott Allan's a cunt. We can agree on that

He knew that he only needed to wait for a few months.
I think by that point it was obvious he wanted to leave and he couldn't really stay at hibs. Not trying to defend Scott Allan here, no real Rangers fan would play for Celtic imo but I don't think it was a case of he chose them over us like you made it sound.

Whatever happens, at least he'll know that he made the right decision to come to Ibrox and pull on the jersey. Unlike his former pal who turned us down and went off to Celtic Park to disappear into oblivion.
Did he turn us down? Or did hibs refuse to sell to us?

To be fair, the pundits have only been saying what all the fans have been saying all season. No heart/character and lack of ability etc. They showed the character today but let's not forget about the first 8 months of the season. We've been pish.

Aye but apparently it was cause Levy went behind his back and signed Janssen
Well there's your reason right there.

Anyone know why he was leaving spurs in the first place? Someone on FF said it was to do with Vincent Janssen being signed?
Im sure I read it's something to do with him not liking working with Levy at Spurs.

Nupe he's not.
He's put his complete faith in Stewart Robertson to run this and everything else to do with the club.
Good news the comments from Pedro's club. Hope there's more truth to that than the media reporting that he's the fav.
Wonder if he's got the final say on everything. Would be weird to appoint 2 such important positions without ever speaking to the guys.

Anyone know if DK is directly involved in these appointments? I mean actually here and involved in the decisions? All I've been hearing about is the 3 man interview panel.

I thought we were looking for an experienced permanent manager. To me that means, someone who has experience in European football and give us a fighting chance of getting in the finals. I can't see that in his cv. This is suppose to be a long term management position.
He's been the assistant at 3 different European clubs and the manager at 2 others.

This game has 0-0 written all over it
Thought I would get in early . Surely must be a good bet
I wouldn't if I were you mate. Can you really see us keeping a clean sheet? St J to score the first goal is the bet.

Thanks. But might a head coach still not perhaps want (or need) an assistant - a Weir replacement? And it seems then that a head of scouting and recruitment would need to be employed to replace McParland? If I'm following this correctly there would need to be at least one additional person recruited (Scouting & Recruitment) and maybe 2 if the selected Head Coach insisted on having a deputy?
The only extra body would be the DoF really. With or without a DoF, we'd be getting a manager/head coach and his coaching team (1st team coach/assistant) and we'd also need a new head of recruitment to replace FMcP.

If Wilson does come in then I don't think it would be without being guaranteed some money to spend in the summer, which is where I think this deal will fall through.
King's good at guaranteeing money.

notable increase in chance creation when we switched to the 442. If only he'd had the foresight to do it, many of those 1 points could have been 3's and we wouldn't be in this shitey situation.
And to learn that he never studied the opposition - mind boggling
The more you hear, the more and more arrogant he sounds.
The annoying thing is, the opposition would never have to study us either because it was the same every game. Sit in, hit us on the break and take advantage of set pieces. MW's at the press conferences giving it all the "we don't worry about what anyone else is doing, it's all about us" patter, meanwhile the opposition manager is rubbing his hands.

If he went to forest ,how many of our players do you think he would try to or like to take with him ?
Knowing our luck, probably none of them.

The PR department used to just cut and paste "Rossiter out for a further 8-10 weeks" so they would have more time to proof read, spellcheck and sanity check the board's statement releases on the official website.
We have a PR department?

They can't organise a defence. For two years, we've been leaking dodgy goals. That lays at the managers feet imo.
I remember back when he first came here, one of his ex defenders at Brentford done an interview where he said they never practised defending set pieces or something ridiculous like that. Seemed like an overstatement at the time but I fully believe it now.

He would bite our hand off as he is shite. Nowhere near good enough to manage us. You need double dose antipsychotics to listen to the fucker.
Agreed. Not good enough.
Would be genuinely interesting to see who we appointed if Warburton walked tomorrow...

The guy won't quit because deep down I honestly think he believes that being 3rd in the pishy SPFL is not that big a problem. We heard him this week more or less give a (meh...don't really care) type response when asked about the shocking away record.
His attitude quite frankly is I'm right everyone else is wrong.
Surely that's all for show though. He must realise he's under massive pressure.
He's told it every day.

??? well I suppose you couldn't blame him
no chance he would skip on the chance of being rangers manager
just my opinion
I think it would do his career more harm than good to come here right now. I'm not sure anyone could be very successful with this squad and lack of funds. Maybe MORE successful than Warburton but not what we're demanding.
Also not trying to be one of those "in the know" cunts but I live in the same village as him and my Mrs talks to his wife occasionally and she's dead against him taking the job apparently. Says it's not worth the trouble for the kids at school etc. Maybe he doesn't care what his wife thinks though ? Personally I've never spoken to the man.
Anyway, like I said, it's probably a poisoned chalice anyway.

I understand that's a big part or why they went to Celtic but the other had to be the manager and European football ? So if we can't give them wages then we need to give them the other two ? That's my point. I just doubt think player would have the same mind set about mcinnes ??
See what you mean but what top quality manager would want to come here right now? It's a poisened chalice. I'd be surprised if McInnes would be too enthusiastic about it to be honest.

Another fucktard here. My point is, he hasn't got that something about him or the experience in Europe to bring quality players to the club. Warburton is a prime example just now ! Yes you are right he wouldn't of but put a fucking decent ten together and aleast try n challenge. That's all I'm saying but as per twats jump because I mentioned THEM !
You just said he had 3 or 4 seasons to build a squad to challenge Celtic and couldn't do it ?
