  1. FFS I was looking an article of us being linked with him and came across this bizarre tidbit.

    Milan are serious about Miller…

Kenny Miller may be a replacement for Filippo Inzaghi.

The Scot jumped in pole position to fill the gap left by the “Super Pippo”. Glasgow Rangers, in fact, continue to press Milan to get Oguchi Onyewu, the USA defender.

Rangers striker Kenny Miller will be included in the deal, as rumors suggest. Miller’s deal expires in June 2011.

The Scottish ace, born in 1979, started his career in Wolverhampton (2001 – 2006), scoring 51 goals in 175 games.Since 2008, he’s playing in Glasgow, where in 75 matches has scored 46 goals.

Miller’s excellent ratio continues with the national team of Scotland: 51 matches and 12 goals.

  2. First is the target, first is first is realistic.

However whether we come first or not depends more on the scum than it does on us. They had the better squad than us ending last season (I know we beat them, but realistically that team would come out on top over a 38 game season). If they act smartly in the transfer window and play to their abilities then they SHOULD win the league.

I believe in our manager, and I believe in the dealings he has done in the transfer market, We have a more than capable squad. We need to be ready to pounce on any mistakes they make. We need to perform as we know we can do in the games against them.

A flying start is key. We have a decent run of fixtures to open the season, and if we have real title aspirations we should be looking to be ahead in the league by the first time we play the scum.

We need a striker and a CB minimum IMO. Mariappa would be ideal.

If you're on the outside looking in, coming second would probably be an achievement this season. However But we are Rangers and we will not settle for second best. The fans will rightly be urging the team to first and be disappointed if we don't achieve it. I can't wait.

Fuck a severance deal,  if they want him, they can pay us some cash.

He might not be what Rangers need, but he is a very capable keeper and should command some sort of fee.

Happy to pap him off for free, but if he's looking for a termination fee from Rangers, plus his DUTD wage they can fuck off.

tav is superb going forward. best to get a better right back in and move tav further up the pitch.

Would actually agree he is average going forward.

For a right back, he is superb going forward. But he canny defend.

If he plays as a RM/winger, then he becomes probably below average going forward relative to the position. There are better options out wide than pushing him up.

I see him as a good backup full back next year.

  5. JB: "I had great options on the table and had a phenomenal time @BurnleyOfficial - but what they are about to do, I've done before."

JB: "I knew within an hour of setting foot in the building that this is the right place at the right time for me."

JB: "Without knowing @davidgweir or @MarkWarburton9, I felt like I did as we have so many mutual friends."

JB: "I had better financial offers - but you have to be able to look yourself in the mirror, and coming to @RangersFC allows me to do that."

JB: "You can be a certain age, but not feel it. I don't feel I have the body of a 33 year-old."

JB: "There is no shortcut to success, and everyone at this club is aware of it."

JB: "There is an incredible challenge here. Second in Scotland is nowhere - there's pressure, but I thrive on that."

JB: "I want to contribute to every facet of this organisation."

JB: "People keep telling me I've mellowed, but I still feel like the same person."

JB: "There have been times in the past where I may not have been on my best behaviour, but that's all in the past."

That concludes @Joey7Barton's media conference. Remember you can watch his first interview on @RangersTV now!

  6. Edinburgh teenager named as thug accused of launching attack on Rangers captain Lee Wallace

DALE Pryde has been identified on several social media sites as the man pictured apparently punching Wallace on the Hampden pitch after the Scottish Cup final.

THIS is the Hibs fan who has been accused online of being the man who attacked Rangers captain Lee Wallace.

Dale Pryde, from Edinburgh, was identified on several social media sites yesterday as the culprit who punched Wallace as he attempted to leave the pitch following the Scottish Cup defeat on Saturday.

The teenager has been sent a barrage of abuse from fans furious at the attack on Wallace.

Last night, at the family home a woman refused to answer any questions while a man screamed f*** off at our reporter.

They refused to discuss reports Pryde is the man pictured hitting the Rangers captain and said he was not at home.

A young man came to the house at about 8.40pm but ignored reporters who attempted to quiz him about the match incident. A friend of Pryde’s said the teenager had spent the day celebrating Hibs’ historic win in Leith.

He said: “Apparently he spent the night in Glasgow and has been drinking and partying all day in Leith.

“He’s been named on social media by loads of folk grassing him up.”

Police said they haven’t arrested anyone in connection with the assault on Wallace.

  7. Alloa is hardly a ground. Standing on a muddy hill.

    Cowden is a dump

I am sick of the sight of Easter Rd. If I ever go again before I pop it will be too soon.

Livi is the coldest I've ever been in my puff, and the food & drink inside the ground is fucking shocking. No atmosphere and every cunt sits down.

edit :/ Forgot Hamdump. What a shite stadium to watch football from.

On the whole good with the ball at his feet and with his distribution. Yesterday ha got away with one where he tried to control rather than just clearing.

For me a few too many goals conceded were saveable ie yesterday's first.

    Could do with genuine competition.

Pass marks but can do better imo.

This just about sums it up for me.  What we need to remember is that his feet are as/more important to Warburton than his hands. I don't think he'll be replaced but I do think we'll bring some competition. Every week I've been waiting for him to make a mistake at the back and pass it straight to an attacker but I don't remember him ever really doing it.

I also agree with the assessment that he's been told not to come off his line. He came for everything when he first arrived, loved it about him. No idea why he would be told not to do it.
