  1. Do folk want a fucking medal for going to games?

At the end of the day, a fan is a fan. I don't care if they go to every game home and away, or one game a season, or post on facebook when there's an old firm game.

Can't abide the superiority complex some of our fans get because they're season ticket holders. I can imagine them giving themselves a pat on the back when someone sits beside them they don't recognise.

    Anyway, well done you.

  2. Will be an interesting test of our central defense. As folks have said previously, lots of punts to the big lump that is John Daly. Whether he can get off the ground to win a header or not though....that's a different story. Hoping to see improvement from our defense with the long ball through the middle anyway

Going conservative for this one, don't think there will be too many goals in it. 12-3

  3. was always a player in a quagmire of shite, what did people expect from him in the old squad despite the fact he helped out with a good few goals last season.

This. Plus 9 times out of 10 he was watching the ball sailing over his head.

  4. I thought he was excellent today, particularly second half.

He could have been better last season, but he was far from the worst. Made a bit of a scapegoat.

Even when he's playing well, some people refuse to give him any credit, but they'll be right on his back as soon as he gives the ball away.

Let bygones be bygones. Warburton rates him. Good enough for me.

  5. “I’m really delighted with Wes,” said Warburton. “I can’t speak highly enough of his contribution. “I see people criticising him but he’s been asked to play out from the back and get us started. I think he’s been outstanding. He’d one save yesterday from a free-kick which was his fifth save in four games.

“The stats I looked at were that Wes played out 87 per cent of the time yesterday and we got started in their half 77 per cent of the time from that. These are big numbers. Against St Mirren, it was 74 and 88 respectively. It lets us keep the ball in their half. If our keeper launches the ball and it’s a 50/ 50 battle, that’s not for us.”

Breath of fresh air to see we are looking at stats in detail like that. A really telling stat too. He's given me a few frights but not only are we getting the ball forward quickly, we're keeping it while doing so.

  6. Emails out for Ayr.

We are pleased to confirm you have been allocated a ticket for the Petrofac Training Cup Ayr United v Rangers match via the continuous credit card scheme away allocation.

Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £8 for concessions (Over 65 / Under 18), payment will be taken from later today, Wednesday 12 August and tickets will be posted on Friday 14 August.

  7. Yeah I just got my RSC's email.

We requested 34 tickets and got them all.

All category RSC's were allocated as many tickets as they wanted.

Good to hear. Must mean everyone on CCCS is indeed getting theirs. Hopefully get the email tomorrow.

  8. Yeah, that's what I meant sorry.

When I had a season ticket back in 2011, I occasionally got an email offering me a ticket to an away game. Was wondering if that could happen again if we got big allocations.

Yeah they were doing that last season. Didn't happen very often though. I'd imagine there might be a chance for this.

  9. 'He disappeared halfway through a medical!' The footballer who got away

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett tells a bizarre story about a potential signing who had a change of heart and left halfway through his medical.

The player - who remains unnamed - had his head turned by another club offering more money.

"We had one (signing) that took about five weeks and we had a medical and he got through half of the medical and he disappeared," he recalled.

"I won't name the name but he ended up in Scotland two days later signing for another team. You've just got to take it on the chin and crack on."

This clip isoriginally from 5 live Sport, Tuesday 4th August 2015.

  10. Maybe I will log on to BT sport on my iPhone via the Ibrox wifi so I can get goal replays assuming we don't show them on the big screens.

The first game of the season is almost always greeted with a packed Ibrox (and usually with a flag) but after last season I think we are all ready for the off and expecting big things.

Stream videos on the Ibrox wifi? Have you actually used the Ibrox wifi? Lucky if you can refresh Facebook on it.

  11. I got Ayr twice in the League 1 season

First season on the scheme used to just take what I could get from the bus so I wasn't too sure. I think Somerset is over 10k anyway so I wouldn't imagine we'll struggle too much. Was just wondering when the emails normally come out.
