  1. Panic, we are romping this league, although Watburtons tactics are wearing a bit thin.

I dont think our tactics are wearing thin at all mate, it's only the beginning and we will get so much better at them, we will see when we blow away st mirren and hibs, the only thing wearing thin is the amount of chances we're missing at the moment mate

Is where I sat watching the game tonight, I endured to daft arseholes who claim to support our team jeering every misplaced pass and having a go at every player in our team, especially wee Barry! I eventually snapped when wee McKay got named man of the match and these pricks started calling him a homo and a shitbag!

For me he plyed well and tried to make things happen! A true Rangers man supports his team!

    Pure arseholes father and son

if they really were so bad i feel sorry for you mate, why would a fan pay to go and sit and do that instead of back the team. it ruins every other fans experience. Usually in my experience, people who do this are either old pensioners who don't really have a clue and just want to cross it all the time etc and have no patience at all (a quality our team has fortunately), or else bucky neds who don;t even really know what's happening

  2. People always talk about big teams getting special treatment from refs, but I just feel these wee teams are the ones getting such treatment just now. I think the refs seem to give them a bit more leeway because they're shite and because they'd be sending players off every game if they refereed them to normal standards.

It's a load of shite, and it's no wonder Scottish football is stuck in the dark ages when this kind of thuggery is allowed and when commentators and the likes become apologists for it.

I really agree mate, especially with because it's a poor team the refs let them away with poorer challenges because they could end up sending off like 4 players in one match. it has become a farce, where does this rule bending end

  3. We cant rely on 1 striker to score all the goals.

Some of the midfielders will get the odd goal or 2, the 2 wing backs have done well so far but I'd be surprised if they can keep that up.

The 2 wide men don't offer enough of a goal scoring threat.

I see what you mean mate, but I think that the main focus and instructions for our 2 wingers for Oduwa and McKay is to primarily assist by cutting in from the byline and side of box then crossing it across 6 yard line and cutting back for our players to get a shot (which is far more likely to score from a shot like this), and that scoring goals is secondary for the wide forwards but they should do it when the chance comes, or if it was Miller or Waghorn wide they would obviously have more of a license to shoot and score. I think if people put away more of the chances that McKay creates every game, the wide forwards goal scoring threat would increase drastically anyway just because people are putting away the chances McKay and Oduwa are creating for them more often.

I think that the lack of goals you said is attributed to the wide men, should actually be attributed to the midfield who probably only score 1 goal every 2 games at the current rate.

  4. The standard of referees in Scotland is absolutely abysmal (and not just against Rangers) Hibs were (apparently) given a penalty against Falkirk that wasn't a penalty. Falkirk were denied a penalty with a blatant hand ball by McGregor in the same match refereed by Alan Muir, Celtic were denied at least 2 stonewall penalties against Motherwell; again reffed by Alan Muir, so it seems the SFA are quite happy to let these referees make their own rules up as the go.

Dallas should have at LEAST booked that thug who deliberately chopped down Oduwa because that was assault on a player that could quite easily been a red card at any other stage of the game.

Maybe if every teams fans pulled together one day a wee bit we could start a protest to the SFA, against the poor standard of refereeing that sucks enjoyment out of the game, it certainly ruined my enjoyment of tonights game except from the goal, and it must have ruined Falkirks fan's night too, in a cup tie if a team wins with a dodgy penalty like happened with Hibs against Falkirk tonight that raises questions cause they could have won the cup or got to final at least instead of being put out by a pen that shouldn't even have been a penalty (if that happened to us it would ruin my whole weekend). If this poor level of refereeing continued all season i'm sure fans would start moaning to papers and radio phone ins etc more and more, and people would talk about it more and more, until eventually it became a big issue that comes to a head and the SFA must do something about. I just hope this doesn't continue, there doesn't seem to be one strict referee at all in Scotland, as here all of the referees just seem to think that it is football of the old days like when Souness etc played and heavy challenges were a part of the game then but not now, and they seem to think like people on the radio phone ins who think it too that 'players should be able to handle a challenge' etc. Nah mate, this is modern football not old football. If you watch MOTD you will see how they give fouls on that and they are real referees who know modern football and what the rules are and that you need to protect players without stopping play every minute. If the standard of refereeing that happened today, happened in England (it never happens so badly there, im certain that foul on Oduwa would have been a red card in the EPLanyway even though it was first minute, for English lower leagues it maybe is a bit more rough but still nowhere as bad as Scotland) If that level of refereeing ever happend in England there would be a bloody inquest into it, but not here, the Hallow SFA will just sit silently until the wind blows this tumbleweed away under the carpet and Stewart Regan will sit in his measly throne doing barely heck all to stop this blight in our game that is apparently getting worse in Scotland (even though we're not).

  5. Going forward Scotland doesn't need these type of managers. One of the reasons the game in this country is regressing.

I agree with you so much mate, he coaches his players to be hammer throwers and look at them, they're lucky if they can even get 6 passes together without losing the ball

Poland is the same size of country as Scotland yet their players have 10x more technical ability than us

Its probably something to do with nearly all managers here are like him

  6. Sorry but that's just wrong. All of our bookings seemed fair enough.

Waghorn was booked for dissent. He had been held back by the defender twice in 2 minutes so verbally took out his frustrations on the ref. I agree with Waggy because the defender bas blatantly cheating and getting away with it but even so the booking was still correct.

Halliday nearly took the shirt off the Livi player when trying to remove him from over the ball and again can have no complaints.

Clark purposely moved over to impede the GK and again can have no complaints about receiving a yellow.

Back on topic though and I thought the treatment of Oduwa was terrible but in particular the arm to the throat should have been a straight red. Ref played advantage which was fine but there were audible boos once the attack came to an end for the ref when he did not take retrospective action. Hopefully the compliance officer will sort that in the next few days but I won't hold my breath. As for the first challenge in the opening minute. The picture in this thread looks really bad but at the time I didn't feel as if should have been a red. I felt the Livi player was just beaten by a far better player with quicker feet so mistimed his tackle. Having looked at that picture though the leg is straight on contact with Oduwa's ankle so maybe it should have been a red. Only Plug will know how much intent there was.

none of the bookings for RFC players were fair, Halliday got booked for a slide tackle not what you said, Halliday didnt even touch the player with the tackle literally (cause I seen the replay), the Livi player just sh*t it and hit the deck before Halliday never touched him like the worms that Livi seem to be. BTW it was Clark who pulled that player who was lying on top of the ball and then 6 players did it, but according to the rules that Livi worm should have been booked for lying on the ball not an RFC player. Or at least book Clark AND the livi worm for it,

Clark was literally moving out of the goalkeepers way not into it like you described, and the goalkeeper ran into Clark at the edge of the box not the other way about. Clark was already running back as goalie was going to punt it.

Your stupid defence of this is incredible, if one of our players get their leg snapped like nearly happened today will you defend the other team then too

You must be a referee or something mate, or the Livi managers brother

  7. I love Mark Warburton, he always says the right thing even if you couldn't have expected it. I'm sure he will put this refereeing nonsense and shocking challenges that go without red cards to bed, as you can tell it clearly frustrates him

and he is going to fix it because he said "we need to improve communication with the referees" etc "instead of just shouting from the sidelines" so that they actually properly communicate which helps

MW: "i've got no doubts about the talent of Nicky Clark", hope that puts pointless moaning about Clark to bed on here. Imagine you were a striker and its your dream to play for Rangers and currently because Waghorn etc are performing so well he barely even gets a chance and then the fans sat and wrote you off online for f all. And yeah, Nicky missed a header today, but if you try to header a ball when it's been raining for an hour it's harder to aim your header.

  8. We definitely need a striker, some type of poacher with the abilities of Ally McCoist dare I say it. There's never any players in the box even if we do get a cross in.

And that referring performance was the worse I've seen for some time, although that's not been too long ago.

I listened to a bit of Radio Ireland(Scotland) at half time and, basically, according to them, it was all Oduwa's fault for not learning the game in the proper manner. <cr>

wow, if that's what they say on the radio I fear for the future of our game in Scotland, a generation of like it or lump it hammer thrower managers and teams like Falkirk, who don't even play football (more like Anti-Football) and are lucky to string 4 passes together, have basically ruined our game

Even in Poland, that country is the same size as us, however they have 10x more technical ability than us, so do their players, and they have bags more of players who have technical ability than us too.

  9. Law was man of the match for me based on his second half. McKay faded like he usually does after decent first half. Holt was poor tonight and Tav's worst game. Clark will get his chance now, its up to him to take it.

McKay didn't fade at all mate, even on the 90th minute he was putting cutbacks from the byline into the 6 yard space but we were unlucky more of them weren't put away

  10. I honestly think that a dvd of all this preposterous refereeing should be sent to the SFA by the club to ask for the SFA's response to this issue, I'm sure Chelsea have done that before in the EPL re: poor refereeing, and then the SFA would HAVE TO publically release a response to this huge issue.

Who's there to referee the referees? Or can referees just implement the rules however they please with no warning? Such as going like that, "oh it's the first minute i'll let that guy off with a tackle is lucky didn't end someone's career and dream" like happened to Ian Durrant, the tackle literally nearly snapped Oduwa's foot in half to the point where a bone would stick out, it is disgusting the wee bassa probably done it just so the wee hacking taig Bassa can smirk with his mates and say he hacked him, or probably because he is jealous that he can actually do a bit of skill instead of being a hammer thrower like them.

  11. a hope we smash this shitty team, that person who stud tackled Oduwa at full pelt and nearly derailed Oduwas career and nearly snapped Oduwas foot wouldnt last long if it was me he tackled like that, I would stud him right on the knee with a full force stomp like Souness. Although obviously our players cant do that or they woould be banned. Best just to beat them with our class and move on and leave them to wallow like the shit team and players they are. They must be jealous of Oduwa to tackle jim like that

  12. I think ref's should do like a theory test, before they can become a ref, and there should be a hazard perception part which lets them pick what is the correct decision for each different type of incident which will be played to them in a video, if a video of that Oduwa incident in the first minuter was in that test it should be a red card fs no nothing. We're lucky that wee seedy falkirk player didn't snap tendons in Oduwas foot and put him out for months there or derail his career ffs.

  13. Why don't people wait until the U21's went on a run of losing games before they try to question Durrant's ability.

What is people's problem re: Durrant, of course a coach of our club is going to be paid a wage by our club, how do you expect him to eat and live, I'm sure people posting Durrant is a useless clown or stuff like that on here wouldn't have the bottle to say it to his face, or if they did he would tell them and prove them wrong.

Warburton would stop at nothing to ensure we are successful in getting Champions League football soon, so I'm sure if a youth coach wasn't up to standard Warburton would have put him out the door quickly like he did with Zaliukas and hibees new boy McGregor, especially when you consider Warburton used to coach youth himself so he knows what it takes, and when you consider that MW is relying on these youth players being coached well so that they are ready for the first team when he is going to pick them, so he would never leave the youth coaching in the hands of someone who wasn't capable of doing it correctly. If MW seen the level of quibbling that has took place over this when it issomething that is all good anyway and doesn't even concern us I would be embarrased for us as fans.
