I’m going by a few geeks talking about him ‘blocking passing lanes’ and pressing well, can’t say i see it watching the games atm. But it’s the only explanation i can think of for him appearing to be Clements Hemdani/Broadfoot. Problem is your number 10 can’t be that player for us. We’re (yet again) on our knees for a right winger so Cantwell can go inside.

Much like the Havertz situation at Arsenal atm. Does a job tactically and works hard. But for an expensive (relative to us) attacking midfielder your off the ball work just can’t be what you bring to the table.

Feels like Lammers is going to be to Clement what players like Hemdani or Broadfoot were to Walter. He must see something he offers tactically that Cantwell doesn’t. Given that it’s the number 10 position though, it is the only worry i have so far.
