The board are really spineless with this whole situation. I fully expected some sort of movement on Monday morning. Let's be honest, it was probably one of the most shambolic refereeing performances at Ibrox for decades.

This dignified silence carry on doesn't work in this modern day, anyone or anything but Rangers Scotland. These types of performances need to be called out.

The messiah got a call from the head of the refs, having cost them two points, that's all, because they had won the league. Yet refereeing decisions, IMO have contributed almost exclusively to a 5 point swing in the second round of fixtures already and not a word has been said.

I never thought refs actively cheated in games, I just thought they were shite refs but that on Saturday has made me question that theory and the board should have absolutely questioned it as well

You are right, they are spineless. I've backed them up to the hilt, but unless it's directly an attack on the board, very little is done or said. I'm now tiring of them because of this, although I still applaud them other matters.

I'm tired of this one rule for us and one for them caper. It's not even subtle how we get treated, it's a clear slap in the face more often than not. I want my club back and not having to be subjected to jibes from every scum supporter I know. I'm sick of arguing with them and feeling as though I'm standing up for my club alone.

The call from Fleming I think it was, to the terrorist lovers last season, speaks volumes on where our perceived place is.

Saturday's shocking refereeing performance undoubtedly cost us the game.  This should not just be about the one incident.  Stokes should have been red -carded twice, McGeouch sent off and quite possibly Darren McGregor as he brought down Morelos when he would otherwise have been through on goal.  Also Lennon's antics were a disgrace.  The SFA has a compliance officer who could and should have acted on Lennon, Stokes and McGeouch subsequent to the match.  This constant dignified silence simply does not work.  There is no dignity left in Scottish football and in fact very little left in society in general.  Dignified silence is taken as weakness by those who hate us and they exploit that to the maximum.

Brilliant post and I agree 100%.

  3. If you're looking to place a bet on this game, you're probably better betting on the handicap market with a minus two goals, if not three. All going well and no bizarre refereeing, I think we'll destroy them on Saturday. I rarely suggest such an easy win for us as my head usually rules my heart, but I really do think Rangers will win by at least three goals in this game.

Thanks to the aforementioned bizarre refereeing, it's more or less a must win game already instead of us having the chance to go top.

    Gaun The Bears...feck 'em all.

Totally agree mate, Ive seen some poor Refs over my too many years watching Rangers and occasionally they make a total howler of a decision. But that would be it one talking point, Ive never seen a Ref make so many bad decisions and plain ignore foul play from the other team as Beaton did on Saturday.

Like you I hate to say cheat because if that's even close to the mark we make it as well just switch off the lights, but even if you say it was obvious he was biased in his decision making is that not cheating as well.

I honestly don't know where we go from here, the club won't rock the boat and the SFA don't give a shit because it's us.

I go along with what you say, but I never actually said that it was obvious he was biased. What I did say was that his decision making was bizarre, take from that what you will. As you alluded to, it was strange that all of the bad decisions seemed to be against us rather than the ref just having a bad game all round.

He definitely fecked it up for us one way or another and we should be going for a possible 9 points this weekend against Hearts and possibly going top (the manky mob could/should be on 4 atm), instead of 6. What a boost that would have gave the team but it's all irrelevant now.

I see Beaton has got a Europa League match on Thursday and Dunfermline at the weekend. Does anyone know if the Dunfermline one is as a consequence of our game and demoted, or was he pencilled in to take the game regardless?

Do you think the club will speak out after the appeal... Its a must IMO

    No

You may be right CB (probably will be mate), but I definitely agree with KK and others that we absolutely MUST contest that performance on Saturday.

People live for the moment and they say that the last game is the worst this, or the best that , but in all honesty, it was the most bizarre refereeing I've personally seen in over 50 years of supporting The Famous. What happened on that park defied logic. I wouldn't say that the ref was a cheat, never ever thought that about a referee, but anyone as a neutral looking in from abroad, etc, would be excused for thinking just that. As I said, utterly bizarre and if the club do not contest this, then we are well and truly gubbed. This is yet another defining moment for them. They MUST act.

  6. I've only just started to read page one of this thread.

I gave it a miss as it was about 'an article' by KJ. I knew it would be a lot of bollocks if it was something he threw together, but thought I'd eventually check it out as there were so many replies to it.

Wow! Just feckin' wow. Those gossip columnists really do have an elevated opinion of themselves. Prima Donna's aplenty.

I feel sympathy with the many young Bears and Bearettes for whom this and all of the other nonsense is more or less the norm for them to read, along with all of the daily, even hourly garbage that they spew out and all of it with a negative slant towards our club.

Believe it or not, football used to be about the game on the park. It was exciting for supporters going to the game, whether at Ibrox Park, or the special feeling of the away games and I loved every minute of it. I'd like to think that the younger generation could experience the entire football package without all of the other online and media dross, but sadly, I doubt it. It is, what it is and we either try to enforce a change, through the club or otherwise, or we simply stumble along. Apologies for sounding rather pessimistic at the end there, but I really am seriously pissed off with all of this crap. It drains me.

The club MUST put the right people in place, if they're not there already and challenge all of our haters, in everything thing they do that's wrong (most of it) and make them accountable (penniless if need be). Tired of this.

I've seen folk thrown out the stadium for making gestures like that to other supporters, why he wasn't approached at the time by police or security is baffling/worrying in my opinion

I read somewhere that the police brought it to the attention of the blind guy who was the fourth official and that he waited until half time to mention it to TLB. The fourth official is a disgrace too, as he clearly saw the start of his gestures and turned away as he didn't want to deal with it.

Pat Fenlon got a four week ban for similar, so 'Lenny' as his many sycophantic media pals call him, should receive the same, plus the other two weeks that will come into play with the Duffy incident. Having said that, the rules in all things football related don't apply to him as it would for anyone else. I wish he would just go away, one way or another, as he's ruining the game in Scotland all over again.

Legitimate question to anyone that's saying this is a cringe and a riddy etc ... do you hate Neil Lennon? do you think he get's away with murder? do you think there's double standards? (just have to look at Lafferty posted in the news last week, but the only mention of Lennon's antics is when we are complaining about what he done because they've no choice) - if your answer is yes to them all or even one of them then what's the problem? seriously, what is the problem?

You obviously don't want something done about this poisonous little runt then.

Next time he's getting slagged off on here, why would you even consider joining in and agreeing? you don't have a right to IMO.

This is typical of the Rangers support these days. We rightly complain that we are treated differently, there's double standards galore everywhere, people have free reign to lord over us and treat the club and fans like shite .... then when someone or some group with a bit of clout finally grows a set of balls and tries to address it they are embarrassing and a red neck.

Once again showcasing the exact reasons we will always get shat on. This is the perfect example of it.

If you're sick of cunts like Lennon then sit back and let this take it's course - don't develop a misplaced sense of morality or a highground over it because it undermines the whole process of trying to defend the club and fans.

Why is there a need to protect Neil Lennon here? people have fucking short memories - this was the cunt that spat on a Rangers scarf on live TV worldwide and called us orange bastards - yet we are throwing up a protective blanket?

It's depressing seeing the arguing over this when Club1872 for the all the things they've done wrong, have done something correct.

I ain't no brown noser, but credit where it's due. You're definitely one of the best posters in here and that post is right on the money. Outstanding post.

Their whinging has had a big say in them winning though, as recently as the stone wall penalty denied on Friday night, Referees scared to give decisions against them because the public slaughtering they receive.

Remember Ross County last season, ok it was a dive from the boy but it was ok when Guidetti/Stokes/Giffiths/Larsson was diving for them.

Then Brown winning an appeal despite his manager saying he had "no complaints" about the red card, allowing him to play in crucial matches against us.

Whinging has got a lot of things to go in favour of the beggars in recent years.

.. even if that's true - is that how you want us to play, is that how you want us to win? By stooping to that level of 'soortsmanship'? Really hope not - we take great pride in winnnng not whinging - will that need to be added to a managers remit - must be a greeting bastard?

You gibber some amount of garbage BP. Your arse must be red raw.

All focus should be on that refereeing performance.

I would hope for a statement from the board that we are seeking urgent discussions with the head of refereeing and the football authorities to discuss on field incidents which cannot be ignored or accepted by the club.

Discussions behind closed doors should not miss the fucking mark.

My genuine concern is as a club and support we say and do nothing and yesterday's refereeing performance is the catalyst for similar such displays against us.

    We cannot do nothing.

Agreed mate. The thing is though, we always do nothing. It's not the done thing to contest this apparently, we should just put up with it. That's helped us big time eh?

The manky mob have been contesting every controversial (and some the weren't) decision regularly for years. They've been reaping the benefit of doing so for years too. That's clear to see. All I want is parity on all things relating to football. You'd think that wasn't much to ask, but it is now. It's not as it was.

Anyway, I'm sure the head of the referees (is it Fleming?) will personally contact the club and apologise for the refs performance, just as he did with the scum. Do you think he will? Me too.

  11. He's a vile, sub-human being and is behaving as we all expected. I wouldn't bother so much with the cretin, but he usually gets such a complicit media to deal him the victim card again. At least he didn't get sent to the stand yesterday...he will for at least one of our games (unless he watches them from the stand having been sent there prior to our games).

I hated the fact that the spoon-burners and him were coming up to join us in the league, as I hoped we'd seen the last of him when he went to Bolton. It just goes to show what so called 'standards' are aimed for by his club. First we had the supporters acting like cunts and now we have some of the players and the manager as well.

I'll always love my club and always look forward to the next game, but I'm truly sickened by so much stuff that now goes on in this shit 'modern game' of ours, both on and off the park. There's no doubt that a lot of my enjoyment of the game has gone, as hatred from so many sources, including the media, are intent on destroying what enjoyment we have left. This isn't the same game I grew up with and loved.

It really is incredible the fact that he only received a yellow for this and also the fact that he should have been at least booked after this incident as well.

Any footie fan from abroad watching this (and the rest of the game) would be excused for thinking that our game is corrupt. I personally don't think we have any cheats as refs, just seriously incompetent cowards.

  13. Thompson is a grade A prick who detests us, but apparently the incident happened in front of his wife and kid...that's not on.

A lot of the other 'fans' seem to be arguing amongst each other and not with us for a wee change, which is great. I wonder how long that will last and I wonder how long TLB will last in getting sent to the stands on Saturday too. That's gonna be a belter.

  14. Well done The Imperial Bears and Tommy.

Irrespective of the debate surrounding Tommy on here, the bottom line here is that Lyn and The Lee Rigby Foundation receive a welcome £1000 donation which is excellent. I'm sure we all agree on that.

I saw Lyn and her daughter on TV a few weeks back, discussing life in general and The Foundation too. I really felt for both of them. It was clear how much this has affected them and the behaviour of the subhuman supporters will have compounded this. I hope the parasites get hammered for this, both in law and out of it. They certainly deserve it.

I was wondering whether the squad were (or should have been) gathered together at Auchenhowie to watch the Dhims v Hearts game today, especially for the benefit of the foreigners and a good chance to discuss two of our rivals as a squad. Should this be a regular thing if the opportunity arises?

Naw. We should be focusing on our own game and all that entails. There's plenty of opportunities for the new guys (and whoever else) to watch reruns of any of the opposition when they've been live on any of the major channels. I get your point, but definitely no.

  16. About time too...it's well overdue. It's not been a great time for them recently, hopefully Rosenborg will add to their misery on Wednesday as well. It shouldn't  be too long now until they get shut down for good after the child abuse stuff comes out and the victims get the compensation and closure that they deserve.
