  1. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that seeing the pics/painting. The old pics are always magic. There's been a lot of 'doom and gloom' on here, so it's nice to get away from that for five minutes.

Without hopefully sounding like a wimp, you can't help but feel proud of who we are when you hear of our history and it's a real emotional ride on The Founders Trail. I wish all staff and players would go on it until they get it and I mean, REALLY get it so they can understand what we're all about. We have a wonderful history, but some of the players through the years (especially recent years) haven't been worthy of the shirt which is disappointing.

You and all involved do a grand job in presenting The Trail and for the amount of time and effort you all put into it. You all have my utmost respect. Thank you!

Anyone else think Pedro is trying too hard to be liked by the fans and get them to rally behind him? Warbs did thst toward the end because he knew his time was coming up.

    "I'm defending this club"

    "they know we're coming"

    "they're attacking us"

"We only want players who know our history who'll fight for our club"

"I'm defending 145 years of history"

It's him personally they're attacking and his arrogance  not the club

aye ok mate stop trying so hard to be liked. Just perform. This is a desperate grasp at being accepted by the fans

Why don't you feck off ya soap dodging waste of a good ride. Every one of you lot are obsessed. Seriously deranged.

And before anyone comes in and says "I agree with this taig that we are shite", I posted this really to highlight the borderline xenophobic attitude the media have aimed towards Caixinha the minute he walked through the door.

It does now appear to be open season on Pedro. From Lennon to Mutton to this tarrier and even ex Gers. But don't expect anything from the club. That will only happen if board members are attacked in the taig infested mhedia. Contrast it to when Brenda spouts utter shite i.e. broonaldo could walk into most Prem clubs in England. Or the self patronising drivel from the assistant manager or whatever he is about EVERYONE agreeing the CL is a better tourny with Savco in it. Yea sure...Bayern Barca Chelsea PSG etc etc but they all desperately want some no mark club who steamroll one of the worst professional leagues in world football in it. Imagine Pedro coming out with utter shite like that. Actually makes me get behind the guy even more.

MW got the same treatment. He was hammered for relating the Killie pitch to Waghorns injury.

A week later Tierney gets injured on the same pitch, Deila has a go and not a peep.

Fast forward a year and Brenda says he's never seen a good game on a plastic pitch and he is hailed as some sort of Lord which opens a debate on plastic pitches in Scottish football.

Caixinha has came from a country where tactics and football fill more pages than anything else in the daily newspapers, not petty quarrels and the media baiting clowns like McInnes and Nicholas.

The day we win that league, is the exact day this sort of campaign against everything about the club will go into overdrive and it'll start if were close to them come the split next year.

Our response to this usual bile and pish is to forget it and set about supporting the manager in his very obvious crusade. I think he's for slashing some cunt! I still haven't a clue as to how good he is or not, but I do like the fact he gets up every cunt's nose, so he's doing something right. At least he's not the atypical MW Sunday school teacher type.

We need to do our talking on the park and giving this newbie our support is part of that, as he is very clearly with us, just that we may find his ways rather strange. Think his heart's in the right place. If the Alves story is true, we have got off to a good start in rebuilding. Like some others, I had a look at him on YouTube and I can only say fucking ouch! I know we needed steel, but he is serious Irn Bru material. Let's hope he's fit and has still got half of what he was.

If we are going to read this shite, then try and see it for what it is, because for me there is a positive in there for us. He's upset the haters, because they think we should know our place, remain compliant and silent and only speak when spoken to, such is their new found superiority complex.

Not getting too worked up about yet another article demeaning Rangers and in particular the manager this time. This sort of stuff annoys me as a Rangers supporter of course, but it also makes me feel ashamed of Scotland. I can just imagine how other foreigners view us when they read this and other crap that is churned out on a daily basis, by gossip columnists masquerading as journalists. Is there ever going to be an end to this? They really do have it in for Pedro so at least he must be doing something right, even if it's still to be shown on the park at this stage.

All these people saying they agree with the manager of the sheep shaggers - what exactly has Pedro said that was wrong?

First of all, he was speaking about Aberdeen because he was asked about them in his press conference. It's not like he talks about them off his own back on social media or the likes.

As for the "reaching the end of their cycle" thing. Yes it was a pretty damming assessment of their team, but again, he was asked his opinion of their players. And this is quite a general opinion of the current Aberdeen side in any case. You can bet if Lord Brendan had came out with the same comments it would've been viewed as a genius bit of analysis.

And lastly - it's fucking Aberdeen. The club and their fans exist to hate Rangers. Get a grip of yourselves. Fuck them.

    Well said mate.

I can agree with some of what he said but he really overplayed it. The tranny guy with the teeth slated their style of play when they played them and McInnes commented, but he didn't embellish the reply to him as much as he has here. Why not? Probably because we're deemed 'fair game' as we don't respond to any criticism.

We've had two recent managers from outside Scotland who have shown respect to the so-called journalists and all concerned, yet they've received in return, lies, spin and loaded questions. It makes you wonder what the people outwith Scotland make of all of this selective media stuff and how we treat people.

We don't have sports journalists any more in Scotland. They're just gossip columnists.

Be good if it's true because they have milked it for all it's worth when 1 of our fans done something.

That would be some sucker punch to hit them with if we released Cctv and our player came forward with allegations.

Watching them squirm would be priceless.

Wouldn't it just? Talking about watching them squirm...

  6. That was a decent piece written by big DJ.

Don't ever forget what an outstanding player he was for us and for the 'young yins', see the video. He proved the old adage that if you're good enough, you're old enough. THAT header against the manky mob at only 16. :cup: Enjoy the video folks and seeing the Rangers stalwarts of the past (as The Citizen used to call them in their pull-outs - aye I'm an old-ish cunt). The goals come thick and fast btw.

While you're on a roll DJ, why don't you knock out McCulloch and Keevins the next time you're on air before you slam the door behind you. It's well overdue. I'd tune in to hear that. :guns:

Hope the guy makes a full recovery. Brutal. Nobody deserves to be stabbed over Football.

    Shoe on the other foot...

    "Fenian bastard"

Front page, just tearing into our support once again.

    Hate this country.

We all know this is true. If it was one of the manky mob, we would have heard about it everywhere. I'm glad the boy is okay and hopefully they'll get the waste of space that did it...I won't hold my breath though.

  8. I don't think wee Willie honestly believes himself that we need £50M to compete with the manky mob. That was tongue in cheek and no doubt put out there to rattle the boards cage.

I reckon that anything less than £10M (not counting wages) for perhaps five signings would be swallowed up in the grand scheme of things and would hardly make a dent on what's required. I'd say £15M is a realistic transfer target for what's required, albeit it's going to fall short of what Pedro actually gets. I'd love to be proven wrong there (but I won't).

Spending £50M in Scotland if we had it would be mad (nobody would seriously do it) as you would need guaranteed CL dosh every year to try and make even a little sense of it.

Also, for the so-called players you'd want to buy with a large budget, with their ambitions, it wouldn't be an easy task to get them to come and play here, especially with all of the non-footie related crap that we get bombarded with on an almost daily basis to add to the mix. SMSM tarnish our reputation and laud up the scum whenever they can, so that's got to have at least some impact on putting off some potential targets.

Willie was bang on about the last game though and the spineless players that were on the park that day. It was a total capitulation and he has shown them up for what most of them are. Maybe that will spur them on for this weekend. Here's hoping. Sink or swim guys.

Anyone recommend any good Rangers Boozers in Rutherglen I'll be there on Sunday.

I know about the quarry bar but apparently can be hard to get inew on OF days?

To be fair mate, they're all going to be hard to get into unless you're a regular.

The Linn O' Dee is no more. I had many a good time in there and the 'rivalry' with the nearby Vogue (spits on ground) when both sets of supporters were standing outside was good as long as it didn't get out of hand. The Linn is now The Picture House and it has no association with Rangers anymore.

The Quarry Bar will be mobbed, but the atmosphere in there on Sunday if you can get in will be superb if we do the business. I was in for the Beastality Boys (Sheepshaggers) away game recently and that was a good day as you'd expect. Not a big shop btw.

Only a few yards along the road is the 20 Club and there's more capacity in it. I'm not sure if you'll need to get someone to sign you in or not. Maybe someone who's been in recently can add to that.

The Burgh Bar on King Street (it runs parallel to the Main Street) is a good atmosphere too which spills into the beer garden after the game. Again, not a big shop and you have next to no chance of getting in unless you're a regular (and you go early enough before it fills up).

The Victoria Bar (on Farmeloan Road, just down from Chapmans on the Main Street) is a great pub to watch the footie. Decent sized shop and loads of tellys. Not 100% bluenose shop (probably around 70%) and has a Rangers and scum end to watch an old firm game. No trouble. That's where I'll be heading on Sunday to cheer on the lads. Again though, regulars only unless you're lucky.

Tarrier shops to avoid on Sunday are - the vogue, sportsmans (as far as I know), the millcroft (wallace bar) and chapmans.

I hope that helps you and maybe some others who'll be in the area too. In your position, I'd probably plump for The 20 Club, or The Quarry Bar if you're there for opening time. Being within yards of each other gives you options. Good luck and enjoy!

  10. R.I.P. Ugo.

Genuinely stunned to come on here this morning and see this.

By the many tributes paid to him, he was by all accounts a true gentleman and family man who loved his footie. Many thanks for THAT goal Ugo and sincere thoughts go out to his family and many, many friends. Once a bear, ALWAYS a bear.

A tribute from the fans on Sunday of some kind would be superb if there was time to do so. Even better would be the club and players dedicating their win to him. That would be wonderful. Let's do this Rangers!

Yes i stand corrected DMMC. That bitch should be publicly flogged, tarred and feathered. All of the names on that list make me want to spew.

Agreed mate. She's a nasty piece of work. As for Scotland's 'finest', we'll need to wait a few hours for more of the same no doubt....farcical

That has to be the most embarrassing headline that arsewipe has ever come out with. Fucking ban these cunts Rangers and Joe,give him a wee reminder today of what you're all about son.

I'll go along with that, except there's been a lot worse than that written about us in the comics that have replaced newspapers these days. Still pathetic though, especially as it seems rather ironic coming from Sarris as per the info the lads earlier in the thread provided. The entire Scottish media in general are an embarrassment as what is regarded as 'journalism' today is lazy, well short of any real substance and heavily biased (understatement of the year methinks).

Maybe Mr Gavin 'Dangle' Berry will get the same recognition for his piece as a certain bitch who should have been sacked without question seems to be getting for her contribution to 'journalism'. See section 19 in the link below.

  13. David Barrowman (known as Big Barra)

Sincere condolences to his family and many friends. A real bluenose who was taken far too young.

Sadly, there's been quite a few supporters passing way recently as some have mentioned in this thread. I'd just like to add that I'm sure Big Davie was as much a supporter as anyone is on this forum and indeed, as much as anyone who will be there at Ibrox on Saturday to applaude him. Respect to 'The Big Man'.

I added the photo of Davie as it's always good to put a face to the name in this situation. I trust nobody will object to me doing so from the FF forum.

  14. It makes me feel proud to say I'm a Rangers supporter reading that and of course with the knowledge gained from The Founders Trail too. We've a lot to thank Moses for. Can you imagine...no Rangers? Neither can I. Born a Rangers supporter and a Rangers supporter until I die.

We've a lot to thank you for too Mr M. What an outstanding job all concerned do with the information and presentation of The Founders Trail. You're a natural mate. I loved every minute of it. I don't know why I waited so long to actually do it. I was the guy in the suit (looked good btw) with your mate, the 'guest of honour'. Thanks for a great day!

  15. Okay, some of you guys may have a point about some of the phrases used, but I was livid at the time with all that was going on. Nice to see there is a lot of perfect people out there who've never made a mistake in their life. I bow down before you. And all this shit about we don't do that. No, we just sit back and take whatever is thrown at us. No wonder some clowns think we're fair game.  At least I did something rather than our usual stance of dignified silence.
