Did he really say that? Hate the cunt.

Bet he wouldn't say anything about that lot's 61 fines in 12 years from UEFA.

Yep. “Rangers have more of these types of fans than other clubs”, he also mentioned we were singing anti SFA songs straight after the coin throwing incident. I couldn’t make this out from watching on the box.

  2. Anybody hear that c*nt Jim White on talksport today? Aparantly Rangers have more idiot fans the most other clubs he said. Maybe because we have more fans than most clubs huh? Or maybe don’t judge tens of thousands of people on the actions of one ballbag? Jim is a cretin.

lucky not to be beat 4 today but fuck it im going to say it,  that pitch is like playing in sand with a medicine ball. we deserved fuck all as we didnt play well all the spl teams will struggle there, especially teams who like to play quick football.

I agree . I don’t just want to blame the pitch but it looked hideous to play any decent football on, too fast and too bouncy. But it’s the same for the opposition, only they have the advantage of playing on it every other week.

  4. It wasn’t great today by any means, but we don’t need to be asking questions of Gerrard. Let’s see how this squad performs over the season in the league and Europe. We’ll be okay, finish second in the league this season and get to the later stages of the EUFA and that will be an improvement on last season. Even Man City have taken 10 years to be the dominant force they appear to be since the rich Arabs have poured billions in to the club. Coming back from demotion was always going to be a long project, be patient.

Cunts hate us. England can fuck off

Let’s settle this once and for all. I’m English, born in England of a Scottish mother and English father. Do England fans ‘hate’ Rangers? The big majority no, I think those that understand the politics love Rangers, England fans also love GB / UK and Rangers are the flag bearers for the union in British football. Ofcourse there is banter between our nations, and some people (idiots) take it seriously, but generally Rangers are the only Scottish club that England fans would have any love for. The small minority who would say they dislike Rangers are left wing types who probably hate Britain anyway and moan about our ‘colonial’ past, and these generally aren’t football types.

‘You’d be surprised how often you see a Rangers shirt down south.

A british League is so last century, will be a European league if anything . Do you honestly think Arsenal, Man U , Man City, Chelsea, spurs and Liverpool want games against Rangers, hearts and Aberdeen?

If hearts and Aberdeen made it to the prem in a British league I don’t see what the problem would be? Look at some of the teams ‘they’ have played in the Premier league in recent years. Swansea, Wigan, Reading......

If you earn your right to be there you deserve to be there.

the biggest headache would be deciding how to incorporate Scottish teams into a British league. I don’t think current EPL teams would agree to  any going straight into the prem.

Can never see a European league happening. Champions league is a greatly respected competition as it is, and away travel for fans would be ridiculous.

British league may be unlikely, but if there is no one to make constant noises about it, it will never happen.

  7. Will it happen at some point? As a ‘southerner’ of Great Britain and watcher of the EPL and SPL, I can honestly say having a British league would only benefit both the north and the south. Why football fans aren’t making noises to make this happen is something I don’t quite understand. I know Tony Blair was a supporter of the idea, but if the PM at that time couldn’t influence the decision then who can?

So what exactly is the opposition to a British league? I’ve heard some fans comment on a way travel distances, but seriously GB isn’t that large, do they wonder how the French, Spanish and Italians manage it?

‘The big clubs in England naturally do not want more completion for their prize money and rights etc, so is it all about these clubs protecting what they have as they would have to agree to the idea?

also the SNP rattling on about ‘independence’ every other week doesn’t exactly lend itself to a stable Britain either.

i want it to happen but I just can’t see any movement for the idea.....

  8. On this evidence VAR is pointless. The pauses are too long and lots of decisions aren’t even being looked at. Why they bought a new tech into the pinnacle of international football tournaments is beyon me. It needs years to mature into a usable system.

  9. They do indeed pay to have their logo on the shirt. We agree on something. They don’t make the shirt, they don’t receive income of shirt sales. They receive advertisement through media and association with the club, that’s what they pay their money for.

‘I’m in a minority that wants a shirt without a sponsor, my money is here waiting if the club want it. If not it’s a missed opportunity as I’m sure there are thousands who would buy one still. If I were not such a fat c*nt, I’d buy a kids top as they don’t have the sponsor on.

  10. I’m not sure you understand what the shirt sponsor is for. And I’m not sure why you think a deal would be brokered to give the shirt sponsor a portion of profit from the shirt manufacturer. The sponsor doesn’t receive unit sales from shirt sales.

  11. Fecking hell, it’s like talking to a brick wall ?

It’s so simple I can’t see how it’s going over your head. People like me don’t put our money into buying a shirt, because I don’t like the sponsor on the front. Now, if there was an option of a shirt without a sponsor, that’s £65 of my money going into the club and purchasing a shirt that otherwise wouldn’t be bought.

Again, the reason companies pay for shirt sponsors is so their brand gets to be seen on the t.v, in the news etc. It’s not so they can have their product associated with fat joe, stretching their brand name across his barrel.

Without question the club would sell more shirts if the option was there to have no sponsor. And for those that want the sponsor on their shirt, happy days, nothing changes.

If you don’t get it, I really can’t help you.

You think sponsors want replica tops on sale without their branding? Of course it affects them.

It's also equally bizarre that you would wear a replica top,  but only if it had no sponsor. Damn those companies who put millions into the club, I'll show them eh???

You’re not quite getting it are you. People should have the choice of a shirt with a sponsor or without. Companies aren’t putting shirt sponsors on so that scallies can’t be seen wearing the top around town, they put it on the shirt so they get media coverage from the team when they are on the box. Can’t say I’ve ever purchesad pint of Carling after seeing a runt with a footy top on nocking around. Can’t say I’ve ever fancied a pint of Carling fullstop.

The club would sell more shirts if people had the choice to buy with or without a sponsor. So no, I don’t buy your theory that it would affect the shirt sponsor in any capacity.

I'm sure the sponsors would be delighted with such an approach. Great return on their investment...

Would not affect the sponsors at all, because I wouldn’t buy one with a sponsor on. They should make it optional as to whether you want a shirt sponsor on a shirt you buy.

  14. I never understand why football clubs don’t release an adult replica shirt without the sponsor on the front. As a man in my early 40’s, football tops are a no no (exceptions for match days), but I would purchase one if it didn’t have the sponsor on the front, as there is no silly big writing to draw the eye to it.
