Last time I met with Billy was at an England v Scotland game at Wembley and I simply can't find this online. False memories maybe here... my recollection is that our goalkeeper played for Everton and in a contentious decision, Alan Ball challenged him for a crossed ball - blatant foul - resulting in a goal. Anyone maybe help with this?

Although it's slightly disappointing that, with the unlimited budget we now have, since that oil rich family takeover and now we can financially compete with... In perspective...? Aye, well said indeed.

'Willie Vandermotten (Stirling Albion)'... Assuming that's our 'Billy Vander', as he was always known to us - surely has to be, it's in that exact era - never knew he played for them. What heartfelt memories - uncle Billy took me to my first games (dad's job took him away from home frequently). 'Thanks mate' seems inadequate right now.

There was a post during the game, where someone expressed the opinion...the performance wasn't acceptable, there should be no excuses, we've come a long way and should expect a win. How many of the team had experienced same... at Ibrox, on a night like this... Nerves? Of course there were, simply expected... It's an immense stage for the uninitiated.
