eosmhdo 1,879
It has been mentioned a lot today that the investigation was a complete waste of time but was it?The outcome was a complete legally binding document stating we did nothing wrong apart from a paperwork error for which they fined the oldco 250k for, incidentally which will probably never be recovered. But what we as a club have gained is a complete dismissal of all the other charges that all those corrupt bastards tried to throw at us over the past year.Every angle and accusation they tried to pin on us has been met with a stonewall not guilty verdict. How many times have we all been in arguments over the year trying to make people understand our position. Its all very well saying don't lower yourself to argue with the haters but for me the accusations hurt and I always defended our club at every opportunity. It is now available in black and white carried out by a law lord and was conducted in accordance with the law of the land.Heads hopefully will roll for this shambles and with a bit of luck all the culprits will be taken to task and exposed for their actions. But was the investigation a waste of time is the question I ask?For me it wasn't, to be now in a position where we always thought we should but worried we would never be.It might have been said it was a kangaroo court by some but from where I can see today we are the only ones jumping.
