Good result for them today

Falkirk midfielder Scott Arfield was on target as Scotland's U21s recorded a convincing win over Lithuania.

Arfield put Billy Stark's side ahead in the fourth minute when he headed home past goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis.

Ross McCormack doubled the visitors' lead six minutes before the break after a mazy run and smart finish.

Kevin McDonald grabbed the third when he pounced on Arlauskis' fumble to boost Scotland's hopes of qualifying for the Euro 2009 finals.

Scotland's win was soured by an injury to Aberdeen's Charlie Mulgrew, who was stretchered off in the 28th minute after challenging for the ball.

The victory in Marijampole moves Scotland up to second in Group 6 on goal difference, with 13 points, two behind leaders Finland.

Stark's side have two games left to secure qualification for the finals in Sweden.

Mulgrew out at the weekend then.

Aberdeen will be missing two key defenders. Surely we can't fuck it up?

Although I don't like cheering the fact some boy gets injured - that has got to be a boost to us for saturday.

Agreed - not good to see but we need a good result up there on Sat.

What's the story with the protest? Why do you need to be in 24hrs before anyway?
