The real test of a team is not how good the showboating is when they're four goals to the good - it's how they respond when they're down. Last season (with a few honourable exceptions) there wasn't enough grit, pride or skill in the team. We drew and lost games we should have been able to win and caved in against the bigger clubs when should have stayed strong. Too often the heads went down and stayed down.
Early days, but I think this season we'll be a different prospect.
Pedro has brought in better players who I believe will fight for every point. He has shown a willingness to change his tactics (even if we don't always agree with his substitutions) and has brought in players who want to play attractive football. Was Saturday a disaster? No. A setback.
New players take time to settle. They have to adapt to the expectations we have of them when they're playing for Rangers - a lot of good players couldn't hack that pressure.
Like the rest of you I want the good times back and I want them now.
Unfortunately, it all takes time.
